The location is absolutely amazing, overlooking the lake and the mountains behind it, its breathtaking. The hosts were very kind and attentive. The hotel is very old and authentic, however the amenities (like bed mattress and bathroom) are all fully updated and are completely sufficient for a pleasant stay. The hotel owners have a dog and two cats that you can pet which we absolutely loved, but this might not be for everyone. The breakfast was all locally sourced - the owners take great pride in the food.

The best organic breakfasts I've ever had during my visits to 29 countries. Every item for the breakfast was fresh and delicious. No single item on the menu was worth trying. The host offered me a special daal curry for breakfast. The location from Interlaken West railway station was a 20-minute bus ride with a breathtaking view of the lake Thun.

I can't think of anything that could have been better. I mean everything at the hotel was marvelous: the room, the breakfast, the staff, the courtesy, the care, and the hospitality. Dani and Linda literally treated us like our family members and did their best to keep us happy. Thanks, Dani and Linda; love the two of you!

We had the most beautiful stay at Hotel Fassbind! It was the most memorable stay we had in Switzerland. Dani was so welcoming and helpful with anything we needed, including helping us plan how to spend our days around the weather etc. The extra little touches by Dani made the stay very special. The breakfast was really good too and the views from the hotel were phenomenal! The hotel was only a few minute walk from the bus stop to interlaken/up the mountain. Thank you Hotel Fassbind for the most lovely stay!

Dani and Linda are the perfect hosts. They obviously love what they do! And their property is an absolute gem in beautiful Beatenberg - one of the most beautiful spots on earth. Dani spent some time with me when I checked in just to show me around the place. Nobody does that any more. There was even a little stuffed Berner Alpenhund on the bed named Heidi to greet me. I got to meet the real Heidi, too. What a sweet dog. This is a unique property, and Dani and Linda are unique hosts. I loved this place!

All the things is excellent! Dani and Linda are so nice. During the rainy days, Dani can give some useful recommend. I can get a surprising gift every day. My single room is not so small and the view is amazing. I can see Jungfrau and Thunsee. The room is very clean. The breakfast is fresh and nice. They have a Bernese and a Maine. Soooo cute.

My stay is so short. I want to play with Heidi and Eric more time.

The hosts, Dani, Linda and Heidi are just absolutely phenomenal! We arrived as guests and left as friends. They go the extra mile in everything they do! The rooms were perfect and the location and view is priceless! The hot-tub overlooking the mountains and lake is out of this world….We have never seen anything this beautiful.

The fact that we had to continue our trip and could not stay longer..

A beautiful traditional Swiss hotel and the most amazing views, sunset and sunrise over the mountains was something else. We had room 3 with the balcony , just perfect and the idyllic view with a morning brew. Danni and Linda are the best hosts from when you arrive to when you leave. The personal touches throughout your stay make it home from home. They pride themselves in sharing the best possible swiss experience and the fabulous breakfast consisting from all local farmers, cheesemakers, beekeepers in the area. This was always a dream for me and ticked all the boxes and more. The hottub is a must with the platter, sunset was incredible. Danni shared lots of history of the area which was fantastic to discover and his recommendations for our day were spot on. Discovering the true Switzerland, with even had lunch in the revolving restaurant at 2950m, if your a James bond fan it's a must! We can't wait to return again next year and discover more. The trains and buses were fantastic, everything is so well organised. The train station is in the airport so made our journey from Zurich to Interlaken straight forward. A 2 hr direct train journey, then a bus from interlaken up the hill to beatenberg, the stop is just below the rd to the hotel. Heidi the hotel dog loves a cuddle. 5 stars all round. Thank you for the most amazing adventure ,a short trip this time but we can't wait to spend longer with you. Mandy and Chris, Aberporth, West Wales

Beatenberg/Interlaken was our last stop in Switzerland and our stay at Hotel Fassbind was perfect. The breakfast was superb (everything was fresh). The view from our rooms was stunning. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Although the place was a bit old, it was charming. The furniture was all beautiful and vintage. Our host, Dani, was very friendly and warm. He made us feel at home at his place. It was like staying with a friend. The property was a 25-min bus ride from Interlaken. The bus rides were free because we had guest cards. There's a nearby trekking trail that we explored one morning. Stunning views of the lake and the mountains. (Bonus: Dani's dog, Heidi, is the most adorable thing you'll ever see.)

There was no lift but it wasn't a big deal. Very little restaurants nearby.

I had the best experience ever in hotel fassbind. The staff was lovely and kind. Dani was a great host and If ever visit Switzerland again, I would love to stay here again.
