Stayed at Hotel Sterne and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The manager, Vlad, was exceptionally hospitable, making sure I had everything I needed, from delicious meals to laundry services. The personal touch of having freshly made pizza on my first night and a short tour of the town just before my departure truly made my stay memorable. Moreover, the convenience of being dropped off at the train station was the cherry on top of a fantastic visit. Highly recommend Hotel Sterne for anyone looking for a home away from home with top-notch service and care!

There was very little to fault during my stay; however, if I had to pick something, I would say that some of the furniture could use a bit of updating to match the otherwise stellar service and amenities.

Very good cost-benefit if you are looking to be within Interlaken region! The room was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook by ourselves when we wanted to. Room in general was cozy. Relaxing sounds from the cows with the bells on their necks on the hill close by was a charm itself. The biggest highlight of this stay was our host Vlad. What to say about Vlad? He sounded like an Interlaken ELITE tour guide that knows every, cave, hill, mountain, touristic and non-touristic spot that you could visit in the region. It is really a very big region with a lot to do, and having somebody experienced to point you to the right direction can save a lot of time and help you make the best out of your days in Switzerland! We had few options because when we were there it was raining and very cloudy. Still, Vlad pointed us to good spots and it was a remarkable experience. Would probably come here if visiting Interlaken region again!

We Absolutely loved this hotel. It's more like an Air B&B. Very cute set up. We had two balconies over looking the most stunning view. We had a separate bedroom, kids stayed on a very comfortable couch that turns into a bed. Bathroom and kitchen we roomy enough. BEST OF ALL WAS VLAD. He takes care of the property. We got in late and he was very accommodating. He gave us so much information on things to do, where to eat, and where to go to do family stuff. 5 stars!!! Thanks Vlad. Pl

The amount of plugs. We brought a firestick to watch TV in English and there wasn't enough plugs. We just moved the TV to the other room and it worked perfectly.

Our three-night stay at Hotel Sterne was very good. The apartment's had amazing views of Lake Thun and the surrounding mountain peaks. Transportation: There is a direct bus 201 from Interlaken west train station every one hour to Beatenburg. Hosts: Vlad, our host, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He provided us with valuable insights into local attractions and even recommended activites for a rainy day. We arrived a bit early and they stored our luggage till the apartment was ready. Overall, our stay at Sterne was very pleasing. Would love to visit again.

spectacular lake view . location almost 1000 meters above lake level . if you are lucky you will be above clouds with magical view . sure you have hard turns 10km road from interlaken but it's okey for me .there are coffee and backery store and grocery . near by One bedroom rom was okey for family with two children if short stay .Vlad the Host was very helpful and planned our itinerary with me to find suitable excursion instead of closed one because we are off season. also he gives us full kit to do a barbecue. sure we will back soon ins

Beautiful location. Away from hustle bustle of Interlaken. Good connectivity to railway station, from where you can travel to other parts of Switzerland. Ana was very helpful and despite bad health, she was always available to help. Her recommendations were really good. The only challenge is that most of places to eat near accommodation were either closed or used to close early so food could be a challenge at times once you are back to Apartment. Overall, really a good place and highly recommended.

The hosts were really nice people and very helpful and kind. The location of the hotel was fantastic and the views were wonderful like paradise. It was very scenic and colourful. The people on ths whole nice and friendly. The buses and trains were excellent and run like clockwork.

The bus 101 goes to this hotel one per hour. We feel it would have been better to have it run twice hourly. This bus was constantly busy and most of the time you had to stand and was packed most of the times. The general prices are in general very high and its expensive to dine out.

Genuine, kind, and friendly host (Vlad, did not meet his wife as she was out of town) that provide helpful input of what to see and do in Switzerland along with some off the beaten path recommendations. Felt more like a b&b than a hotel with his hospitality. Location is fantastic, away from the hustle bustle of Interlaken but close enough to access that city by bus which arrived on time consistently. Beatenberg itself is quite serene and beautiful. Room came with a fantastic view of lake thun. Loved drinking our coffee out on our balcony. Room is clean, location felt very safe, but that goes for all the cities we visited in Switzerland.

Not a complaint but a FYI - not a lot of options in terms of restaurants/coffee cafes, but Bel Air Tea Room is down the road (breakfast option) and was quaint and the staff is friendly. Lack of food options and limited hours in Beatenberg didn’t bother us because mostly stopped by supermarkets (Coop) in Interlaken to get food for our day as oppose to eating out anyway! Their food was honestly so yummy. Vlad did provide a detailed packet of grocery store/restaurant options/hours in Beatenberg though!
