Breakfast was good, buffet style, with full choice. was in the hotel restaurant, which is an interesting, unique location, being in the round of an original part of a glass factory, beautifully converted. Breakfast staff very smiley and helpful, as were staff on all areas for our 5 nights. Staff for dinner, Nikos, the Maitre D. and others, were most attentive. Our room could have been a little bigger, but was clean and in good condition.

As in most modern hotels, the air blown heating, quite noisy and cool in the direct air flow. Due to today's economics, the dinner menu reflected that.

Proximity to station and centre. Staff very helpful especially letting us in early and minding our luggage for an hour or two when we checked out. Breakfast was very plentiful and lots of choice. Bed was comfortable and very large. Everything was clean and towels were a good size.

No fridge in room to keep water cool. It was a bit tricky to work out how to switch on lights when we went back to room at night. Room was a bit cramped, maybe would have been better suited to king or double bed,not queen. Some of the decor looks a little tired. Why no trays in breakfast room, it needed separate trips to collect drinks cereal bread etc.from the buffet bar.⁶

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and we did unfortunately only spent a night there. Clean, comfortable rooms, very friendly staff and a decent breakfast. Good location as well, about 8 minutes to the train station. We were even given free chocolate chip cookies at check in and there was free ice cold tap water - perfect for the heat wave.

The only comment would be the cleanliness of the entrance and lifts. The entrance is at a different floor than the reception so it was probably not monitored as closely to clean as needed.

Straightforward with no frills. Hotel was simple and clean, nothing OTT or extra special, but did what it says on the tin. We got a deal for our stay which made it pretty good value for money for central Bristol. But good for location for where we wanted to go for a big celebration, which was Pasture Restaurant, which was just over the road (if you’re staying in this hotel I cannot recommend going there for food enough). Simple gym on site was good. And breakfast had plenty of options!

Check-in process was fairly slow and staff seemed pretty uninterested in general. No real ‘stand-‘out service. We had three rooms booked and room temperature varied dramatically between them, even with leaving heating/air-con on for a few hours (to try and balance the temperature between them) we found one room to be very hot and another to be really cold. But there wasn’t any overall negatives that made our stay less enjoyable.

lovely highly characterful dining room. Freedom to sit where we wanted. very good value breakfast with enough choice to satisfy anyone. Friendly helpful staff throughout hotel. Cleaning being carried out regularly every day throughout hotel. Late night check in appreciated. The free colourful maps of points of interest a good idea - keep format as is. Hotel accommodated our additional two nights stay and in the same room (533) at short notice.

Car parking charge too expensive. Suggest this should not be more than £8 - £10 daily for the next 2 years before COL review. I was under impression that parking was free anyway. Very surprised to discover differently. Suggest that clearing tables be done only after all the party members has finished their course/meal. Otherwise, it could look like that you were impatient to 'process' us rather than your probable intention of simply keeping the table clear and comfortable. The circular wooden banister top above and surrounding the lower floor section in the breakfast/dining room might have benefited from a bit of a wipe. Didn't detract from our stay or our intention to recommend Double Tree to others, without any verbal critical remarks.

The location was a short walk from both the train station and the city. Very friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast. I loved the way the glass kiln had been kept and used to house the restaurant. A really special feature.

Beds weren't terribly well made and there was a dirty pair of underwear left from the previous guest. I was interested by the chains and keys in reception and assumed they referenced the slave trade but the member of staff on reception didn't know which was disappointing.

I really enjoyed being in the room in which stayed on the 14th floor with the church view. I'm an artist therefore it was lovely to sit by the window each morning to read and draw in my sketchbook along woth a cup of tea. I would request that room again. The gym was fabulous where I had a good work out. The staff were friendly and kind. Thanks the all I have a lovely stay. THANK YOU!

Breakfast options. perhaps onmlette, smoked salmon, options for non pork products.

Location parking and access were great. Very easy. Ahead of my stay I contacted the hotel with a few queries on our group as we had an addition. The lady on reception couldn’t not have been more accommodating and everything was perfectly organised on arrival. Check in was swift, concise and without issue. The welcome goodies were a really nice touch also. Rooms were spacious and adequate for our needs and importantly were clean. I had a great stay here and will definitely return.

Nothing to dislike about the property however I did find the prices in the bar were on the high side. So much so we went out for a venture for more reasonably priced drinks.

The room was nicely presented, clean and well dressed when I arrived. No issue whatsoever! Breakfast was an easy affair and the staff where excellent in showing me where all the sections where presented, and even went above and beyond in organising an omellete for me when i asked. Excellent staff on hand and delicious food.

When i arrived there was already a keycard in the room for the lightswitch, which initially i assume was deactivated from the preivous occupant. A minor thing but I had to remember not to use it as a door key or else I would have locked myself out with the double keycards.

Great location very near to town, you can walk to the dock area easily. We took a taxi to the Clifton bridge and walked back. The room was very comfortable and had almost everything I needed. The bathroom was very small but functional and clean with a huge shower, I prefer both a bath and shower. The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and seemed to be enjoying their job, which is nice to see. The bar staff were also very accommodating.

It would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the room and a couple of wine glasses. We ran out of coffee on the first night but I left a note for the staff and the next day there was a great choice of coffee.
