On our weekend stay , the staff were very kind and friendly , room was nice and tidy , but there was quite a bit of dust on the back and arms of the sofa bed that was in our room , we did not need as we used the bed . and im not one to complain about things that do not affect my stay . thet only thing i would say is , the road was a bit noisy in the morning so if you are a lite sleeper this will bother you . and the coffee at breakfast was liked warm water , i no places cut back on things like this but i love my coffee , this was not what i would call coffee , more warm brown water .

Nice room, fan provided was 30 degrees when we stayed at the room wasn’t as hot as I was expecting! Lovely breakfast the lady even put the tv on for our little boy to watch while eating, lovely bar area which was nice to cool down in after a long day at the zoo! We also had a lovely evening walk around the racecourse!
The corridor doors really do make a loud bang when they close which was abit annoying as there was people constantly going through them but things like that can’t be helped I suppose! Also when booking it didn’t say anything about the £10 charge to park which would have been nice to know in advance!

Situation of the hotel, within walking distance of city centre. Clean, modern hotel with all functional desirable facilities to make stay comfortable and pleasurable. Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast choice.
Paying for parking! I was under the impression when booking via Booking.co that it was free for guests. I didn't read the small print at the very end of the sites information blurb. Being charged £10 a day was an unpleasant shock!

My sister and I stayed in a twin room. The beds are comfy and there was a choice of pillows which is fab! Breakfast was great, with a choice of a hot cooked breakfast or you could have cereal, toast or pastries. The hotel is approximately 5 mins walk from the centre of town and is right next to the racecourse. The staff are great! Dave was extremely helpful when we experienced an electrical issue and he arranged for us to move to an alternative room.
The only thing I disliked was that all the doors are very heavy and trying to manage luggage through them was a bit of a challenge!

Easy 4/5 mins walk into Chester plus plentiful easy parking £10 per night. We arrived very early to make the best of our stay and could park up and leave as and when we wanted and just pay for the nights we were stopping, not by the hour during the day/night (just mention to them prior to visit and they will expect you and a warden will book you in). Full range hot and cold breakfast choices. Also, throughout stay (even before book in times) complimentary tea/coffee/hot choc downstairs. Standard room perfect for our needs with all expected basic facilities. Bathroom with plentiful Dove complimentary body wash/shampoo/ liquid hand-soap / towels / hair dryer tea/coffee kettle etc. Staff lovely and accommodating at all times.

Excellent location. The room was warm and generally well-appointed. The breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty with good choices. Kelly is a gem and recommended that we visit the zoo. The hotel offered discounted tickets and we had a fabulous time. The staff in general are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
We prefer a twin room that does not have connecting doors into next room as we could hear our 'neighbours' at 5.30 am. Two small comfortable chairs would have been preferable to an office chair, but we understand there are business folk who use the hotel.

Very friendly staff and the location just few minutes of walking from the old town. Being next to the race course means that there is space to breathe when walking around the hotel alongside the city wall. Very fast free wifi really helped with catching up with my work.
I happened to get a room with facilities for the disabled, but some of the handrails had stains and signs of wear and tear on them. Secondly, it was a connected room with a locked door and I could hear people talk in the other room. When you get the room facing the street, there will be traffic noise when you like keeping the window open.

Nice hotel, clean comfy bed and room, great location and a good breakfast. Celebrating my wife’s birthday.
£10 parking fee per night should be included in the room price as it is not cheap. A couple of the staff were really nice and friendly and the cleaning staff noticed you were there and very polite. The rest wouldn’t even make eye contact to acknowledge you. The new policy you can’t check in to your room as it is not ready to get your key card and come back after 3pm when the room is ready is pathetic . We had to go out and stay local and then had to come back to check in. Never known this before as we stayed in many hotels and at the Holiday Inn in December. Every other hotel lets you do this. We are no spring chickens and spoilt our afternoon having to come back. The rest of the stay was good.

Breakfast hot and promptly restocked as needed. Perfect location for exploring the City and its Christmas Market and shops. The room size was adequate, clean, warm and lovely bathroom with Dove cleansing products. Very helpful and pleasant Reception Staff.
Outside road noise which could be minimised by windows being replaced and upgraded to better standard. Breakfast acceptable but a couple of additions to the hot breakfast would be good e.g. mushrooms/tomatoes/fried eggs, especially if staying for more nights.

The location is great for getting into Chester right next to the race track. Fab view from our room. Having a carpark is so much better than having to trek through town with a bag. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When. We needed a gluten free option for breakfast it was no problem. Hot drinks available to help yourself any time too. Would definitely recommend.
The only slight hitch was the kettle and hairdryer were wired into the wall and the fuse went twice. Just meant we had to go down to the reception area late on. But would still go again.
