We arrived the location and it was very straight forward from the central station. The hotel was situated close to the ovo hydro which was the reason for our stay and it was within walkable distance but we had to use a taxi on account of poor weather. The most interesting thing was the spa, the free sauna, steam room, pool, and gym facilities. We had always wanted to get a couples massage and that was made possible here. My man was psyched about the all you can eat meal situation, because men obviously love food. Our room was spacious with easy lift or stairs access and had multiple windows treating us to a promising view of the city. One option we considered was booking an airbnb, I'm happy we didn't. We'd love to come again and get the same treatment.
I didn't like that we booked this place for only 2 days and we have a busy work life that couldn't afford us to stay longer. We sped up the experience but yet it will stay with us for a good while until our next stay.

This is a fine hotel in the making. Getting better every time I stay. Gym is great.
The classic raw hotel breakfast experience. People are too polite, I could hear everybody moaning about the "cooked" breakfast, but just not telling the staff. On day 2 I just had the nice stuff other than cooked. If you like un-rendered boiled bacon, a snotty egg, sausages nearly cooked on one side, then this is the place for you. The Sauna has never worked in all the time I have been, so don't believe the "its just happened" story. The pool rules are flaky at best, the pool is a kids toilet, so keep your eyes out of the water. Turkish is great! This hotel needs a better bar policy, there are staff available, but never serving drinks at working people time. Residents should be able to access something so easy as a bottle of beer anytime.

Slightly out of the centre but a lovely 10-15 minute walk along the river into the centre. Lovely, friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful. They facilitated a room move (we wanted a room with one double bed not two) without a problem. Lovely airy room with loads of space. Extra tea and coffee available easily from reception. The pool was a decent size and jacuzzi fabulous after a day walking - they weren't rigid about opening times (as long as they had someone available). Such friendly staff - when i asked the bar man if there was somewhere I could buy chocolate he opened his tub of celebrations and shared them with me. Thankyou
I can't think of anything I disliked

Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The staff were friendly and professional at all times. Excellent breakfast too. Will definitely be back.
It was advertised that the pool was just open from 4pm, so we had a great swim when we first arrived. We were then told that the pool should be open in the morning, subject to staffing. We waited around on the Saturday morning, but in the end it didn't open until later. The same happened on the Sunday morning. I appreciate that staffing issues could not be avoided, and the hotel did not guarantee morning openings, but it might have been better to have been told it wouldn't open if unsure instead of hanging about in case. In the end, just a small issue, it didn't spoil our visit. First world problems!

Easy to find after we arrived at the partner Q-park car park. Discounted parking was most welcome. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Room was spacious, clean and had all those things to make it comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Spa facilities were excellent and free to use. A real surprise in fact. Bar and food available. Breakfast was plentiful and nice. Great coffee. Checkout was simple and again friendly staff.
We could have been told about the building work outside our room. Not terrible but they started early. Air con was not working in room which left the room hot despite the large fan.

Location was brilliant with an easy 10/15 minute stroll to the shops, restaurants and bars. Staff are very friendly, polite, and helpful. We felt welcome and well looked after. The room was spacious and well equipped with storage. The opening hours for the pool and spa facilities had been extended over the weekend so we got to make use of them several times. The gym is open 24/7 which is handy.
The main reason we chose this hotel was the spa facilities. We felt the steam room was a little tired and could benefit from renovation. The sauna was out of use at the time we stayed.

Good location, in close proximity to the city centre. Our room was spotless, and we really enjoyed the pool, swim, steam room and gym facilities on both days of our stay. Well worth the room rate - the best jacuzzi we have ever been in! Staff were very friendly and welcoming, also helpful with small queries.
The room was too hot in the evening, despite the heater being off. We had a fan on from the wardrobe for most of the night. There was a small unit also in the wardrobe which looked like an air con/heater combination unit but we didn’t fancy the potential noise as it was late. The toilet paper was very cheap and thin, just the next ply up would make so much difference. The lift to our floor was at the side of the bar - the bar was very busy on an evening and full of guests queuing and blocking the way to the lift which was a little inconvenient, didn’t seem to be very well laid out for access.

From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful. He made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions with a smile. We were so happy to find out that our room was ready early. The room itself was even better than expected—bright, clean, and comfortable. One of the best surprises was being told that the leisure center was already available for use, even though I originally thought it would only open later. That gave us time to enjoy it before our show. The leisure facilities were great—clean and quiet. The room and bathroom were spotless, smelled fresh, and the temperature was just right. After the show, we came back to have dinner at the hotel restaurant, and even though it was after 9 PM, they still served food, which was really appreciated.
The restaurant experience felt a bit awkward at times. I had to wait to be acknowledged while staff were chatting, and later I was questioned again about the bill after already paying, which was uncomfortable.

Arriving early, we got a lovely smiling welcome from Elspeth, and got to check in early. On arrival to our huge room, my husband had a birthday card and complimentary drink tokens for his 50th birthday. The spa facilities were fab. Open from when we arrived, despite stating open 4pm till 8pm which was great. My husband said it was the BEST breakfast he has had in a hotel. All the staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Leyland organised our taxi which arrived on time. We'd stay again.
Arrived back at hotel at 10pm and couldn't get a drink from bar, as this would have been nice to finish of the rest of my hubby's celebrations. Surely a hotel bar should be open till at least midnight?? There were other staff mulling about who l'm sure could have poured us a glass of wine? I've stayed in a hotel, where the night porter kindly poured us drinks. Sadly, the hotel is missing out on money? The swimming pool was great but there was a terrible smell in changing rooms and the sauna sadly wasn't working.

The hotel was ideal for us although the rooms are basic the bed and pillows were comfy and the rooms were clean. We ate at the hotel are the food was really good, nice selection for breakfast and our evening meal was very good too. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for the swimming pool so we were delighted it opened early morning and we had the pool to ourselves
Initially the pool wasn’t meant to be open until 4pm which was disappointing so I would suggest you have it open all the time it’s one of the selling points why people book this hotel and if there could be better signage in the changing rooms for how to get into the pool
