Very comfy big bed. Clean rooms. Welcoming helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice although it could have been hotter. Good location for the centre of Harrogate.

Service at the bar at night was awful. One barman was friendly but it was very busy and he couldn't serve everyone! The other young barman with tattoos on his hands didn't help much. He didn't serve people in order and just walked past people who'd been there ages and served young ones who'd only just arrived. He was very surly and wouldn't help the other barman when he was asked to do. He definitely spoilt the friendly reputation of the other hotel staff.

Despite being a large hotel ,the rooms are soundproof, and so quiet. Air conditioning could be turned off or altered. Beds soo comfy and room decent size. Breakfast was buffet, and lots of it ,excellent hot and cold choices ,plus on menu ,special requests could be requested and cooked . Best breakfast had in a hotel 10/10. 10 minutes walk to town. Pub with Sky sports 5mins walk away,so hubby was happy. I would recommend this hotel ,and would definitely return. Parking for 24 hrs under hotel was 12 pounds. Staff very friendly and held our cases for free prior to check in.

Nothing. Excellent hotel. Don't let size put you off staying here.

A great welcome at Reception. First class standard room with the biggest bed I've ever seen! Super efficient air con. Handy fridge, kettle and a great selection of hot drink provisions. Massive television and several lights. Well equipped bathroom with beautifully scented handwash, bodywash, shampoo and body lotion. This was probably the best value hotel we've experienced in Harrogate.

It's my fault as I should have done the research but the hotel's location is not as good as some we have stayed at in Harrogate. It was quite a distance to get into town for me. I am a blue badge holder. There are 2 disabled parking spaces immediately outside the door but when these are already occupied, the only option is to park in the multi storey carpark nearby. I was OK as I had my partner with me so was able to be dropped off but this may be an issue for a lone disabled traveller.

Liked the gym, breakfast and the location

The room was quite small, 4th floor. We had stayed in one in Liverpool Albert Docks that was twice the size and I think that spoilt it for us. Didn't like the bath, think that is quite old fashioned. There wasn't any bathrobes or slippers in either room although it said on the website that the premium room had those. We had to move on the last night as there was a leaking tap that covered the bathroom floor with water, but that was dealt with very quickly and they gave us a drinks voucher for compensation.

The hotel itself is very nice and quite big. The room was also comfortable and clean. This was a one night stop over so wasn't expecting luxury. A nice touch was finding slippers and a robe in the room too.

As a female I am not a lover of a fixed shower head as this means that unless you want to get your hair wet every day you have to wear a shower cap which I personally hate. Also as the shower is not fully enclosed the water goes all over the floor so thank God for the disposal slippers!!! I also believe that if you are staying at the hotel if there is to be a parking charge it should be half the price that it is.

Breakfast was really good. A wide choice and the food was excellent. Dannielle was very, very helpful when we had to change our arrival date and leaving date. Leah was also helpful in finding particular shops for us. We needed extra pillows and an extra duvet and they were provided quickly. The bed was very wide All the staff were friendly and efficient and helpful.

No drawers and insufficient shelves, so we had to leave some stuff in suitcases as nowhere else to put it. On arrival the room was too cold. The pillows needed to be wider and were rather hard.

Pleased to know parking was available on-site. Our bedroom was a great size, pleasantly decorated, felt clean & modern. Good facilities (large tv, fridge, plenty of towels, 2 pillows each on the bed already, comfy chair & an executive chair, decent lighting). Comfortable & quiet night. Good selection of breakfast buffet items. Efficient staff. Pleasant reception/seating area . Would happily stay again. Great location in relation to the town centre.

The car park was a tight squeeze, most spaces had inconvenient pillars. Waited a while to check-in as it was busy. The whole milk at breakfast tasted off to me at the end of service time.

Fairtrade refreshments in the room and what we saw in the dining room. they recharged the mobility scooter I was hiring from the conference centre ready for next day and stored my wheelchair for use in the hotel behind reception for me. At breakfast I was catered for well as a gluten intolerant person and toast was done separately and safely. The poached eggs were arriving freshly done.

We had a very long wait to register the car when we arrived as only one person on duty (it was 12.20 pm) and had to deal with someone with a lot of questions about the parking. It made us late for our 12.30 event. After the event it took a long wait to check in a 3 pm too. The event was a lunch meeting and it was not at all clear what was gluten free in terms of the sauces etc. The allergen list put together all sorts of grains so for instance wheat and soya was marked in same column as far as I could see, but the printing was faint. At breakfast items in the cooked and chilled section were not allergen labelled. I had to ask about the fried potatoes for instance. But there should have been allergen labels.

The hotel was ideally located for the convention centre, albeit further from the entrance in use for my event than I had expected. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, on-site parking was secure enough that I had complete peace of mind leaving my belongings after checkout.

The mattress on my single bed was harder and lumpier than I would have liked for comfort. I booked a twin room because I was travelling with my father, and I had assumed that the beds would be separated. While it wasn't a major bother to move the beds myself, I hadn't thought that I would need to after a long drive.

We took the dinner, bed and breakfast option and was very impressed with food in the restaurant, three courses - a lot of food! and I cannot imagine any other items you could possible add to the breakfast buffet, it caters for all. Our room was good but on the emergency plan I noticed it was smaller that others and so I guess in general rooms are quite big. TV is massive, comfy beds and everything you need. Lovely toiletries provided (big reusable bottles) Staff were great. Location was good, 8 mins walk from station, easy to find. We saw the gym, small but adequate, didn't use. Has an international feel as it is attached to the conference centre. Had great views from our room (shame the glass has a grid covering, I guess due to the height). Went to bar for a drink after dinner, friendly staff.

Shower pressure, can hear other guests showering and leaving rooms.
