After a very hectic day at Harry Potter Warner Studios, the hotel was only a very short drive, max 10mins. The staff was extremely professional & polite. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal. Coming from Manchester, the prices were higher than back home but the quality was excellent. We also had breakfast, the range of items were spectacular. There was the usual cooked breakfast, cereals, continental breakfast, fruit, yogurt, porridge......the list was endless 👌 It was my son & myself using the hotel, we asked for twin rooms on the ground floor with disabled parking. The room was spotless, the beds were very comfortable & the bathroom facilities Inc body wash & shampoo which we thought was a very lovely touch. The towels were the purest white, lovely & soft, beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend Holiday Inn in Hemel Hempstead if you need a stay over after visiting Warner Studios 👌🥰

Great location for Harry Potter World. The hotel was clean, well staffed and maintained. Breakfast was really good for a family of four and included within our booking. Dinner was good and what you would expect from a hotel chain. Our room again was clean and layed out for us for when we arrived in the evening. We had a great night's sleep and there was no noise from other rooms which was ideal. The pool facilities could do we a revamp as showing its age, but I suppose that's for the actual hotel directors to spend the money on it if they want to make this hotel amazing. We had an hour slot for swimming in the pool and that was perfect for the kids and towels were provided. There's lots of charge points and tables to work from if needed also. Overall we would definitely stay here again!.🙂

Just pool facilities need a revamp.

The location was good, staff in the morning in restaurant where so much more attentive then in the evening

In the evening, the restaurant was empty with one other family, we got sat right next to them , chairs touching! It was so awkward. Sat for about 20-25 before someone came to take our order we hadn’t even been given menus. Ordered, the wrong drink came. Then we ordered food after the girl said she had asked her colleague to take Our order but she hadn’t, another 20ish min wait. Food was ok. It was just frustrating with a child who was hungry after being sat in the car for 4 hours travelling. There was about 5/6 members of staff just wondering around aimlessly, didn’t check in once.

Location of hotel was very convenient for the purpose of our journey. Room and bathroom were spacious and bed comfortable. Room itself was a little cold and the heating controls were not that responsive. Public areas were very good and quite stylish. The conservatory area was impressive.

We had to change our room as there was a strong smell of smoke in the first one. I would have preferred to have had a stand alone shower rather than one over a bath. Especially as there was no plug for the bath. Evening meal was ok but I had expected a higher standard. At breakfast things ran out, including crockery, and there didn’t seem to be staff dedicated to replenishing things.

We are a family of 2 adults, 1 of whom is disabled and 2 children under 12. The hotel was just off the M1, which made it easy to find. Plenty of parking, including blue badge parking. Booking in was easy and quick. The receptionist was pleasant and informed us of all the amenities, where the dining facilities were, and what the meal times were. The room we had booked was wheelchair accessible and was large, clean, and just as we had asked for. The restaurant is clean and large, although intimate at the same time. The meals on offer are standard hotel fare, but very tasty. I feel that they are a bit expensive for a couple, but kids eat free, so it very much evened it out for us. An evening meal cost us £41 for 4, so it was an excellent value for us. Breakfast was a buffet breakfast, and the choice of food available was extensive. Every member of staff that we encountered were polite and very helpful even though they were working over the new year holidays. Check out was 12 o'clock, so on the last day after breakfast, we were able to make us of the small but quiet swimming pool before departure. The hotel is within a 20-minute car jpurney of Harry Potter World, Legoland, Whipsnade Zoo, and a short train journey into London. All in all, it is an excellent place to stay and although near to a main road very quiet. We will definitely stay there on any vist to the London area.

We enjoyed the swimming pool the water was warm, breakfast was really good and all the staff were very helpful and attentive.

Unfortunately my 3 year old got her fingers caught on the wardrobe door. As we were about to leave the room for breakfast she was putting her shoes on and grabbed the Wardrobe for support (the door was opened at this point and the gap on the hinge’s side was about 20mm). I did not see it and closed the wardrobe door, trapping her fingers in it, I tried opening it but it got worse. All I could do in a panic state was pull door of the hinges by force. Thankfully she did not brake her fingers but she still has some pain and bruising to her fingers.

Breakfast-nice selection, well presented. Pool, jacuzzi. Nice smell when you entered to the hotel. Loved it☺️

Only issue was with the cleaners. We put the sign on the door that we don’t want cleaning and we got back to the room in the evening realised that the cleaners were in. The other issue was that we checked out an hr later (1pm) and then around 12.10 a male cleaner entered into our room without knocking and I wasn’t dressed and he saw me half naked😳. Also the check in was slow even it wasn’t a queue but we got drink vouchers to spend as a sorry❤️

The reception staff were amazing, and Jo exceptional and went the extra mile to help us. We usually do 5-star Hotels and it was location that we needed and we were very surprised to find the standard of the Hotel and Staff to as good as it was.

Only problem we had was a member of the Bar Staff, friendly but wasn't capible to actually do the Job due to his health from his size. We had a friend coming to see us and we wanted cocktails of the menu but was told by Him he couldn't actually physicly do cocktails as had to walk to kitchen for some ingrediants and couldn't do it. A small complaint but it drpped the standard of the Hotel as lots of customers had to wait on their drinks due to speed he could move. Sorry I'm Autistic and find faults where others don't, and I don't have a filter.

I like The service the staff are very nice and professional the room was clean the reception area nice for working on computers or enjoying drinks or food there is enough space and also sockets everywhere it very helpful i liked also the breakfast

I didn’t like the prices of the food are very expensive i ordered pizza margaritas more than 14 and they charged me for service but the pizza was very poor quality doesn’t have any taste also the health area pool looks like need some more care about how it looks many things are broken

Nice reception with easy parking and friendly staff. Room was big and clean with nice bathroom. Very nice evening meal, with free kids food a bonus.

The pool area and changing rooms were very dirty, there was no member of staff at the desk when we arrived so we had to help our to towels. Later a member of staff asked us to get out of the pool at 7.30pm as the pool was closing. It took another guest to point out that the pool should be open until 8.30pm not 7.30pm and we were all allowed back in. Very chaotic and not well managed.
