We stayed in a deluxe 2 bedroom apartment for 5 nights on the 4 th floor. It had a large living area, well appointed separate kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. The beds were nicely firm and the linen felt lovely. Extra special was the view of St Paul’s from the living room window. The air conditioning throughout was wonderful during a very hot week in London. It worked very well, no noise at night and good at keeping the whole place at a comfortable temperature. Also the daily housekeeping was a really nice additional feature. We were very happy with our stay at Calico House

We had a wonderful stay at Cheval Calico House. The apartment was impeccably clean, stylishly furnished, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and responsive, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect—quiet yet central, with easy access to St. Paul’s, public transport, and great restaurants. It truly felt like a home in the heart of London, and we would gladly return.

A lovely, ridiculously clean apartment that had a great location for a wedding we attended at Skinners Hall. It had everything you’d need and the turn down service is a bonus. Helpful staff and maids.
The mattress in the smaller apartment was hard and seemed to have a hump in it. The pillows were really soft and not very supportive but after requesting some firmer ones they were delivered which made a massive difference to our sleep the second night. Even with these issues we would recommend/return. Would like a lock or chain on the front door given we had a toddler as well. We used the door wedge and a chair to make us feel comfortable sleeping well incase someone come in or our toddler decided to open the door when we were not looking.

Perfect location, right next to St Paul’s cathedral and many, many restaurants and cafés. The apartment was very nice and quite spacious. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a very private master suite, which was nice. It had all the amenities you need. The toiletries were beautiful- L’Occitane, which I adore!! Despite the noisy location (right next to 3 pubs/bars), the windows were very insulting and you couldn’t hear any noise upstairs
Perhaps some condiments in the kitchen would’ve been helpful. Thank you for the coffee capsules, milk and water in the fridge

The Annex is an adorable 2-story separate building behind the owner’s house with its own entrance. Lovely flowers set out, and security motion lights in the courtyard at front door. Unbelievably quaint small patio off lovely glassed in sunporch with our own pots of herbs and vistas into their garden of birds and family cat. The kitchen had nice appliances and what we needed to make small meals. Plenty of tea towels which is always a plus. Full sized frig with milk and stick of butter and freezer packs and small bag of ice waiting for us in the freezer. She left us eggs, local apple juice which is fabulous, instant coffee, tea, bread, snacks and seasonal Easter cupcakes! Very, very clean, quiet, wonderful beds and bedding. Owner has thought of small touches of afghans, wonderful toiletries, washing machine, drying rack, plenty of towels and even washcloths! We used the heat during our stay. Slept in warm PJs.

Location was amazing. Easy walk to everything. St Pauls, Millennium Bridge, Tate gallery, Maison house tube station. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I was amazed at how quiet it was in the flat vs on the street. You couldn't hear any of the very busy street noise. Air Conditioning was top rate. It was 30 in London while we lounged in a comfy 22. Overall, very clean, comfortable 2 bedroom flat that could have easily fit 6 with the pull out sofa. We were truly delighted by the location, comfort and cleanliness. I'd go back without question.

Cheval Calico has been the best place we stayed so far in London. As a couple being in love with London, we visit it very often and we have tried many different places, thereby our experience here has made us extremely happy as we know where we are going back next time for sure. Cheval Calico is an excellent place, first of all, because of its staff such the front desk and the cleaning service etc etc. They are extremely cheerful, kind, and welcoming, most importantly, not in a fake but in a very genuine way. Reception was amazing to be there for us all the time, highly responsive and truly responsible. The cleaning staff is doing their job with love and extreme care, which you can see in their eyes. Secondly, we love the area of Cheval Calico. Bankside, St Paul's area is a spectacular area and definitely our favourite. Bow lane, where Cheval Calico is located, is a splendid place close to restaurants, cafes, shops with both a local touch or internationally well-known brands. What was most fascinating about our stay was the possibility to sleep without any disturbance despite being so close to those attractions. Finally, I would love to add how well-equipped the place is. They have considered each detail for your stay. If you are someone who enjoys being sure that you are in the comfort of staying in a place like home, Cheval Calico is the place. We would like to thank them again for their hospitality.

Brilliantly located, easy walk to Borough Market, Shard, South Bank and West End. Very clean, spacious, nicely furnished, beds very comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Very nice welcome from the concierge. Housekeeping service which we hadn’t expected, so beds perfectly made and apartment tidied for us which was lovely to come home too.

This property was outstanding ... over and above what was expected. The reception desk was very friendly, courteous and professional and the apartments were roomy and spotless. An added bonus is that the property was less than a five minute walk from a tube station.
There was nothing to complain about at this property. I have only good things to say about this property.

Great location in central London so provided good access to Underground trains and small grocery shops. Nearby a big shopping mall too and St Paul's Cathedral (could see this out the window). Apartment was very spacious and well-suited for our needs for a grown-up family unit. Great to have a washing machine too as well as cooking facilities. Housekeeping were wonderful and left us towels and other supplies. Front desk staff were helpful and polite.
We stayed when it was a particularly hot week in London so the air-con struggled to keep the apartment at a comfortable temperature. It was also quite noisy and not very adjustable for fan ouput. Also it is in the middle of a popular area for socialising so there is some street noise at night (but you get used to it).
