Friendly staff and accommodating to requests, also organised early morning check in. Fresh apples 🍎 available for guests was a nice touch (excellent tasting too)

Our bed was just ok , we slept ok but it’s in need of replacement, I notified the staff of this. This is nothing unusual in high traffic hotels. We stayed here last year and our bed was great.

The location is great. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was lovely. The rooms are small but fine for our requirements and are good value for money.

Our Television did not work and despite telling the reception team, it was not fixed during our stay. We did get a complimentary breakfast which was a nice gesture.

The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location.

The queues at the reception desk at peak times were disorderly and unorganised, two people checking people in and out whilst two other members of staff stood watching. Staff were minimally polite, water was never replenished in the room and we were charged when we asked for another small plastic bottle water on the second day of our stay. The Club Lounge was like a GP waiting room. Windowless and not worth it. The young girl behind the bar barely spoke any English and clearly had no idea how to make the most basic drinks but was left alone to struggle. The arrival was impressive but it felt like once they had you, there was no need to keep impressing you or caring for you as a resident. The windows didn't lock.

Fantastic location close to Notting Hill, Hyde Park, underground stations, many restaurants and so on. The room was tiny but comfortable and enough to have a good night's sleep at the end of a long day, although not necessarily comfortable to spend a lot of time in it. Even though the room was quite small, it was still alright if you don't have oversized luggage. The breakfast was of medium quality but the staff made up for the lack of quality and variety, especially the two Romanian sisters who were both lovely. The common areas were stunning and screamed old luxury.

The room was quite run down and was desperately asking for some renovations. The renovations that were attempted in the past must have been given to the cheapest contractor they could find as even an amateur would do a better job. On the plus side, things seemed clean. Showering was an adventure as half of the shower water came out as there was barely any protection, resulting in a mini flooding every morning when taking a shower. I didn't hear much noise from neighbours or from the hallway, but the window facing outside was paper thin and you could hear every car going by, even though the room is on the 8th floor.

Room was small but comfortable. Great air conditioning. Shower worked well with plenty of hot water as needed. Bed was a single but comfortable. Front desk area, lounge and bar were what I had hoped for -- nice to feel the history. Great neighborhood with 5-10-minute walk access to both the Circle Line and Central Line via 2 tube stations. Plenty of choices for eating, with varied cuisines within a 10-minute walk. The nearby high street includes shops and fast food, with other restaurants as well and includes a small Tesco, a Sainburys, and one other grocery store. The edge of Kensington Gardens is walkable and went to the pond one pleasant evening. Will stay again.

Be aware that the single rooms are small, typical of London. Also, there will be stairs required in several areas. Hallways are very narrow.

The location of Grand Royale Hyde Park is excellent. It's location near two Tube stations within walking distance made it easy for me to get around London. There are plenty of restaurants in the Bloomsbury area - and I enjoyed several meals there. Also the access to Kew Gardens via the Tube was very convenient as a first time visitor there. All of the staff did an exceptional job assisting me whenever I needed help or advice during my stay. I enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet as well. The food was of good quality. The hotel itself is an historical building - which is one of the reasons I booked it.

My room was small but clean and adequate. I booked the least expensive room to save money. If I stay again, I might upgrade to a larger room.

My son and I enjoyed every second of our stay. The hotel is very well located and 100 meters from the next tube station. The staff was very friendly and polite. We had a small problem with the shower, and 5 minutes after we had informed the staff about it, there was already a technician taking care and fixing the problem. The beds were very comfortable, which is a must for us, as we've walked around 25 kilometers per day and needed good beds to be able to rest. Thanks for making the London trip being a wonderful and unforgettable one.

The room where the breakfast is taken was a bit too hot on certain mornings, but that was just a small detail.

The location is wonderful close proximity to Kensington gardens and tube stations. The great room is wonderful to sit and relax after a long day exploring London.

I would have loved to give this hotel 5 stars, except they advertised a bar but the bartender wasn't knowledgeable at all and they didn't provide her even basic drink garnishments like olives. The drink pricing was inconsistent, their list of featured cocktails for $11.50 included a Long Island iced tea but a basic martini they were going to charge $28+ Also I believe there was a restaurant but I didn't see any menu or times listed in the lobby. Also inconsistent ambiance. Music playing in the lobby but not in the great room and on one evening the music was some sort of techno pop which really doesn't suit the vibe of the hotel.

We didn't knew much about London and we chose the location based on a map's view of the main landmarks we wanted to see. It is smack on the middle between some great places, and has great public transport access. The Hotel itself has agreeable accommodations, and even at its weakest, it offers clever solutions to most of its own problems. The personnel was cordial and helpful at every instance.

Access to the lowest floor is difficult, specially with heavy luggages. The room's window and roller curtain were mutually obstructed by poor frame design. The room's corridor was also very tight I would recommend some other arrangement for the entry closet. Nonetheless, for a small room at its price range, it had great AC and ventilation, and we could have expected worse. The personnel assisted at every issue we faced.
