The service was great. The people working there were very kind. I went travelling on my own and felt safe in the hotel and in the area. I would recommend.

This is out of pure laziness, the room was at the very top of the hotel and there are no elevators. I got used to it immediately but after walking around London the last flight of stairs were often a struggle. However, the place is clean and original.

This is a great place to stay for a weekend in London. It is located in a nice neighborhood, right next to Hyde Park and very close to the tube station on the Central line. The street is quiet and the building in general is silent, I had no problem whatsoever with potential noise. The room is small, but has everything one needs for a solo trip. The fact it has a sink is very helpful. I was concerned with the shared bathroom just because of comfort considerations, but actually didn't have any problems with this aspect. The bathroom was super clean, right next to the room, and I didn't have to wait or queue for it at any moment of my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, a really lovely stay in London, at a great price for the central location it has.

The only thing I would add to make this place even more nice than it already is, is a little bit more variety in terms of breakfast options. I don't want to be picky or spoiled, it's just that I don't eat fried foods in general as I have a sensitive digestive system, and the only option was the English breakfast. If they could add some vegetables, nothing fancy, maybe some cucumbers, tomatoes and some cheese, that would have been more than enough. I did try the yoghurt and the cereals and it was okay, but once again, I would have been happy to just make some sandwiches out of the toast already available with some basic toppings that they could add to the menu.

My friend and I stayed in a room with two single beds which was the perfect size for our needs. There was a sink in our room and the shower/toilet were just a few steps away down the hall. The facilities were very clean but my only complaint was it was quite cold in the room and the radiator wasn't working (or at least I couldn't figure out how to turn it on). The breakfast that was included was awesome. I loved that the hot items (eggs, bacon, etc) were freshly made to order. Probably the best part of the hotel was its location -- just a few blocks away from Kensington Garden and multiple tube/bus stops.

The property is close to Paddington train station, bus stations, and also multiple tube stations, so it’s easy to get from there to anywhere you want. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming. I was too early to check in, but came in a bit of a messy state, and was able to freshen up in a bathroom. I stayed in a single room with a twin bed and a shared shower. Although it seems daunting to share a shower with others, i think the staff intentionally space out guests based their check-in times, as I had the whole shower to myself during my stay until my last night, as someone else had checked in. Overall, a lovely communal guest house for a decent price! Definitely recommend for solo travelers looking to meet new people or just a place to lay their head!

There is no lift, and I was on the third floor, so it was a bit of a struggle to get up and down the stairs with a suitcase. As there is no AC in most buildings in England, with the window open to let in the breeze gives leave to hearing commotion on the streets, so bring earplugs.

The location is awesome, steps away from Kensington Palace. The staff were really kind and being on a super short trip, arriving early on the first day and leaving very late on the second, it was a great help that I could leave my luggage there for free before check-in and after check-out. Everything was clean and I also really appreciated the delicious breakfast that was included in the price.

I was staying in room 4 and whenever someone was using the bathroom, that resulted in quite a bit of noise. I was not bothered by this, as I am a heavy sleeper, but if someone is not, it might be a drawback for them.

Accommodation: 8 Location: 10 Breakfast 7 Service: 10 Value for money: 10 Located in a great place for accessing tourist attractions either by bus, taxi, underground or cycle. Run by a lovely Latvian family, who were very attentive and tried to make everything a memorable experience. The rooms were standard but ideal for a base to explore the city and we had our own private bathroom; some rooms had to share. Our room was cleaned to a high standard. We had our windows open at night and it was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was a bit disappointing in quantity but served lovingly by the family. Would definitely go back again and we’re now looking at going to Latvia for a break next year.

The bed was the big letdown; extremely hard with a mattress so thin we could feel the bars on our backs as we lay down. I only slept for four hours each night and kept waking up in pain (due to health issues mind). Our television wasn’t working and although a member of staff attempted this couldn’t be resolved, she apologised and that was fine. The other issue was the toilet in the bathroom; it was a bit wobbly and sometimes precarious! Looking forward I hope you can resolve these issues.

This turned out to be just great. Loved the location in Central London. Very, very good value. I had a single room, which was warm and cosy. Nice view out on to the back of the property. Having a TV with many channels in my room was really nice. Room cleaned and tea and coffee replenished every day, if needed. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Plenty of food. Shout out to the lovely blond lady who took care of all the guests at breakfast time. She always was so cheerful and hardworking. Bayswater nearby has everything you need including Tesco, Sainbury's, M&S, Waitrose, restaurants and bars. Tube station nearby, too.

Nothing. Frankly, I'm amazed that some individuals on here are complaining. You won't get anything nicer than this for the price in Central London. No pleasing some people.

Lovely room facing the courtyard breakfast area. Ground floor was great for a change. The hotel is operated by Latvians and is the centre for their l Latvian events. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us genuinely cared we had a good time. It is the best stay we've had in London ever. As it was summer solstice they were celebrating in their restaurant area with a special traditional meal which was wonderful to experience new dishes and great service. Our breakfast was perfect a choices of hot drinks, fruit, yoghurts, cereals and a choice of.cooked breakfast to order which could be eaten indoors or in the pretty internal courtyard. A peaceful break with a run I Hyde Park in the morning. We slept well and all the home comforts in our room including a fan as its been a heatwave in London and a lovely work space for laptops. The reception desk staff were amazing full of useful information amd well organised. There didn't appear to be any ensuites and shower rooms right opposite which were super clean and an extra toilet. If this is important to you then do not.book this hotel.

Whilst it didn't bother us at all it may put you off not having your own shower facilities. That's the only downside if you're reading this review. It didn't affect us at all. We were told this from the outset to actually booking and reminded again so ots perfectly clear if you book what you are going to have.

Otherwise everything perfect - personal, location, clean rooms.

The only two things missing and it would be 10/10. First one breakfast, you are getting the same each day and if you don't want eggs and bacon you have just one option - yogurt. Adding bread (real no just sandwich one) and some ham and cheese would be great. Second one - TV - but I agree you're not traveling to London to watch TV. There are just basic channels, no Sport ones or music. Shared bathroom really is not an issue.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Ace location – very near to the Tube station. Breakfast was spectacular. I hadn't remembered how substantial a hearty English breakfast can be. Enough of this Continental breakfast bs!

Rooms have very thin walls. You can hear when your neighbours get in late at night ... or wake up in the morning. No air-conditioning; but the fan was a reasonable substitute and adequate. No mini-fridge. The shower head holder was faulty. Shower head kept flopping down; which meant you had to use one hand to hold the shower head, the other hand to lather yourself and bathe.
