The decor and relaxed atmosphere. The high standard of the food and the service. The comfort of the bed, and location of light switches and plug sockets. The over bed table was a useful touch. The shower room with toilet was well laid out and very clean.

There were some confusing things: Nowhere to plug kettle in except by bed, as the power brick on the table seemed unlikely to be rated for a kettle. Nowhere to put the hairdryer down, except on the floor, which was awkward. I didn’t need this, but the pillow alert for a deaf person to recognise the fire alarm had been left under the bed, with it’s cable trapped by a bed leg.

We had to walk several blocks from the train and arrived when it was dark out. We were a little concerned about safety and the location but we later came to appreciate being within walking and bus service to most tourist sites and the borough market that is close by. The rooms were quiet and we had all the amenities needed. They served a great breakfast and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The bathrooms are very wheelchair friendly for those who need it.

The rooms are dark. I would have liked more light. The hallways and the hotel are a bit dated but we did appreciate the updates to the rooms and the breakfast area and lobby.

The theme of the hotel was interesting. The breakfast buffet was fresh and complete. The room would have been smallish for two people but was fine for one person with limited luggage. The location is excellent - plenty of good food options near by (Borough Market, DanDan, Casa Franga, etc.), straight subway access from St Pancras International, walking distance to Thames boardwalk and a lot of attractions.

The room had a few issues which were dealt with rapidly on the same day - safe wouldn’t lock, tv did not turn on. I had a hard time adjusting the temperature and opted to open and close the window instead.

The location was brilliant, short walk to the riverside and and a short walk to the London Bridge underground, the view of the shard was amazing. Even from the room! Very close to borough market and lots restaurants. The staff were very inviting and helpful throughout our stay. They allowed us to go to the room early in the day- which was helpful for our luggage.

The breakfast, it was a continental breakfast. Lots of pastries but not too much variation. We ended up having to buy breakfast elsewhere- which was an expense we didn’t allow for. Some minor things in the room, holes in the blinds and very dusty hairdryer.

Super eclectic hotel with movie theater themed decor. The free popcorn in the lobby was nice! The location was great. The breakfast was superb!

Rooms were on small side , especially the bathroom. No one greeted us when we arrived so it was a bit confusing. I asked a lady sitting by a baby grand where we were supposed to check in and she said- Oh I can check you in. I didn’t realize she was even an employee until that moment. It was 1:30pm when we arrived and we were told to come back at three. I asked her if we could leave our luggage and she said, “Well I’ll need to see if I can find a space to hold it, because these people(pointing to other man) have eight bags and I have limited space.” Not sure why that was my business? Um yes- you’re a hotel- there’s luggage involved- 🤣😘 I also felt the employees were underdressed given the beautiful lush velvet chairs and antique furniture.

The hotel was stylish and very welcoming. It was very clean and well-kept. The room was exactly what we wanted for the price we paid The location was excellent, being very close to borough market and a short walk to London Bridge underground entrance, but was very quiet at night

There was an issue with booking when we first arrived which I think was an issue with booking.com, however it was resolved quickly with the staff at the hotel. The breakfast had linited hot options but was very good continental breakfast, and there were plenty of gf options. A very minor criticism, the corridor outside our room was quite cold at night, this did not affect our room itself. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would return any time

Breakfast, location, quietness of room, comfort of bed

Room was very dark and due to the black walls it stayed dark even when we turned all the lights on. It was pitch dark inside the wardrobe where the coffeemaker etc. were, so seemed very impractical to attempt to use. The desk/table area were also dark. Overall, the lighting level was gloomy. The temperature in the room in mid-December was slightly too warm for us even when we kept the heat off all day and night. There was no flexibility to open a window or lower the temperature with A/C.

Location Ideal for what we had planned in London, a short walk along the river from Borough Tube station to the hotel. Hotel & Room Exceptional service, greeted by the staff with great enthusiasm and explained all that we needed to know. We had a room on the 3rd floor which was clean, tidy and the beds were very comfortable. Had coffee/tea making facilities and also a hair dryer to use. The decor is fantastic being theatre styled, colours and additions excellently thought out. Breakfast Wow, what can i say for a continental breakfast it had it all. You did not want for anything - cereals, cheese's, ham, salami, fresh fruit and much more. Great value for money.

We could not find anything that we did not like.

Location is excellent, abundance of good restaurants, attractions, and transportation methods. Staff is really nice and the hotel is clean.

"Room with view" on 1st floor shouldn't be called that, to be honest. I did technically see The Shard, but most of my view was roof of the bottom level of hotel, and walls of surrounding buildings. That was a bit of letdown. There's nothing warm to eat during breakfast - in UK I'd expect at least warm beans in sauce and scrambled eggs. Quality-wise though the food that was there, was pretty decent!

I needed a comfortable hotel in this area and this met our requirements. We were close to the riverfront and the Shakespeare globe theatre. There's a lot of attractions walkable and its a zone 1 ticket from major stations. I appreciated the fact that a wide variety of cold breakfast food was available up to 11 and checkout at 12. Liked being able to get a drink at the bar before bedtime.

Rooms are basic given high price. No fridge only one milk satchet for coffee. No toilet brush but otherwise liked our room!
