Excellent location, friendly staff

Our toilet worked intermittently. We reported it and maintenance came. It worked for a couple of days but then would work on and off. We often used the toilet on the basement level.

Great location a street away from Hyde park, lots of restaurants, cafes, shops all around, including a laundromat. A few different metro stations nearby and short walk to bus stop for a direct bus to Piccadilly Circus. Staff were friendly, bedroom was clean & spacious.

Bathroom was small and dated, toilet was very hard to flush & no hand soap was provided.

Fantastic location close to Tube and Bus. Close to Queensway. Breakfast was great. Comfortable bed, room size was perfect for our requirements. I can see it could be hard for people with limited mobility for some stairs on each level and using shower over bath but we were fine.

No complaints. Loved it and would stay again.

Breakfast could have been better in terms of provision . It didn’t have full cooked options . One of the coffee machines was not working hence a long queue . We experienced a wait to be seated for breakfast ( it was 9am) but the manager did his best to seat us as quickly as he could

Great staff working there. Very helpful and nice people. Helped with early check-in and a later check-out time. They also looked after our baggage until we needed to leave for The AirPort. Aircondition in The room. Comfy beds. Good continental breakfast. I would stay here again. 3’rd time staying here. Peaceful area near Hyde Park and good communication with buses and The tube nearby. Also pubs, restaurants and small shops nearby. Short walk and/or busride to Notting Hill also.

Well, it’s old rooms, but it’s typical of english mid-range hotels, carpet on The floor and a bit uneven floors. Shower in The bathtub and The handle to The toilet was a bit hard to use for flushing, so i needed to pull it 3 times and a special thouch, then it flushes. But this is not a 5 star hotel and The hotel is nice and clean.

The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety.

The room needs renovation, the bathroom was really old and had a few cracks here and there.

Great Location , great receptionist Dina . Always will to assist been using this Hotel past 30 years . Just a pity Mohammed the day Manager left .

All Good , maybe paint the front entrances , maybe an update can work .

The room was comfortable though a little dark. Excellent location for Hyde Park and Lady Diana's fountain. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage which was verey helpful.

Multiple sets of stairs to the rooms making access difficult expecially for my 87 year old mother who needed to wait in her room to be picked up to leave the room due to maze to find her way out of the room. Not ideal should there be an emergency and it made exit with all our luggage difficult. In future we could also ask for our rooms to be closer to each other to alleviate this issue. This would hav e been challenging as we booked the second room a week before we left.

Staff engagement and service

Continental breakfast was litteratur with poor assortment. Two coffee machines were down to one in morning making a significant cew line.

It’s my hotel of choice in London. Location superb - near Hyde Park / Kensington Gardens which is a lovely place to come back to relax in after a day’s sightseeing before heading out to a show in the evening. Central line gives easy access to central London from a quiet residential area with restaurants and food shops at hand. Rooms are good with cotton sheets and towels changes regularly - rooms serviced daily. Staff really are helpful and friendly. There was no noise at night. Air conditioning good and safe useful.

We couldn’t open our window for fresh air. There is no restaurant or bar food during renovations - but not really a problem.
