Good location Very clean rooms

There was a constant stale odour in the kitchen. The staff there discouraged all my food deliveries. I had to go all the way down to pick up.

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Marlin Apartments. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. When I mentioned I’d be staying in to study for an exam the next day, they kindly upgraded my room to ensure I had a quiet, comfortable space—even throwing in a great view to help me focus! What truly set them apart was their genuine care. Not only did they make sure my father and I had everything we needed, but they also checked in on my studying, asking if there was anything they could do to make my stay more comfortable. On top of that, they wished me good luck on my exam—a small gesture that meant so much! This wasn’t just about providing a place to stay; it felt like they truly wanted us to have the best experience possible. Thank you, Marlin Apartments, for going the extra mile. I’ll absolutely be back!

Nothing to fault.

Location is the main USP of this property, with walking distance from Borough tube station and proximity to major tourist attractions, the commute becomes easy. Highly recommend for people who want to avoid wasting time in commute.

Since this is a service apartment, you will get any service if the stay is more than a week. I would recommend a more frequent cleaning atleast. Additionally there should be some flexibility for early check-in, it’s paid though. But since people are already paying premium pricing for location, there should be some flexibility.

No false advertising - it really is an apartment. The moment you step in, so many doors! Spend a few minutes exploring it. Clean, no loose fittings. Plenty of storage, a kitchen much more well equipped than I expected (unfortunately had no time to really use it).

Really specific, but I asked the front desk to change the invoice recipient to my employer (legal requirement where I'm from). They told me I had to do it through Booking. I did so, and it did go brilliantly. However, Booking doesn't control this, I was still in direct contact with the company. So if their services team can meet my request, why can't the front desk?

I was in London (Tues 29 April 2025) for an operation at London Bridge Hospital the next day. This was a last-minute booking for a one-night stop over after a self inflicted cock up with my original, cheaper booking. After being pretty rudely left high and dry by them, luckily I found the Marlin Apartments. Despite the £237 cost - a bit bougie for me what with being out of pocket already and this just being a quick overnight stop for one person - I decided as it looked really nice, why the hell not treat myself as I was due for long-awaited neck surgery and wanted to be within easy walking distance due to my early 6am check in time the next day. Upon arrival at Marlin Apartments, the desk staff were welcoming and polite (it's staffed 24hrs too). Access is very easy with key to your apartment and fob for the main entrance. My apartment, 123 was on the fifth floor. I'm fine, but for those a little nervous of lifts, these are efficient, smooth and quiet. The apartment was spotless . Nice kitchenette with all the facilities and utensils you'd need in a flat with complimentary tea and coffee provided. There's a table and chairs for four and nice-sized lounge with TV, sofa and small stools. The bathroom has a bath/shower and everything you need towel wise, all clean and new with shower gel, soap etc. Shower worked well. Cupboard next to it has an iron and ironing board and fan which suggests apartment may get hot during height of summer but this was not a concern. It was warm the night I stayed but I opened windows and it was cool enough. The bedroom was also a nice size and enough space for two to hang their clothes and sockets by the bed but bring your plug for phone charging. Sheets, duvet and pillows were fine, mattress not so great and my only quibble (see below). All in all, it has everything you'd need if staying for a few days. Rubbish disposal facilities by the lifts too. All in all easy and no hassle to get settled in.

If I was staying for several nights at £200 plus a night, a more comfortable sofa and mattress would have been appreciated.

Good size. Clean. Good location. Close to Borough Market, train stations, coffee shops, restaurants.

With that said, if you're looking for party/bars scene, this is the best place for you. Ridiculously bars everywhere, esp borough market area. About the apt, nice and clean. Didnt really needed the kitchen, but fridge was useful. From the reviews, I knew it didnt have AC, but damn it was humid and hot in London the days we were there. Only 1 fan was available in the room, had to ask for another for the other room. Didnt get it til the next morning. Even with windows open, no air seems to come in.. and you'll just hear the noise from the street even after midnight. Even lobby was hot.

Reception staff friendly, efficient, flexible. Received a courtesy call about an hour after we'd checked in to see if everything was ok - never had that before! Sofabed already made up for us. We were at the back of the building so really quiet. Spotlessly clean. Everything worked. Comfy beds. Really good value for money. Tesco Express just at bottom of building so really easy to get supplies.

Borough Station is not quite so handy as some (we ended up walking a lot to get to the South Bank as it was easier), but not too far away. We thought there was only one set of keys but another was available when we asked. A common niggle with apartments is v minimal glassware, plates, cutlery etc (only 4 of each) which means you're constantly washing up and don't get so much benefit from the dishwasher! But that's a very small niggle and something I mentioned when we checked out, otherwise everything was perfect.

The apartment was very clean. Had a little trouble getting the car in but it was because of the staff not being regular workers there. So were slightly confused themselves. There were 4 double beds made in our two bedroom apartment, but it was no trouble asking housekeeping to take the extra ones down. Kids then had plenty of spaces to run around. Good appliances in the kitchen, however they’re wasnt enough toilet paper for our two night stay! And no soft tissue or kitchen towel in the apartment, Tesco express is right next door so that wasn’t too difficult to sort out. Car parking was secure in the basement which was reassuring at £15 per night, decent for London prices! And borough station is less than 5 minute walk, wouldn’t recommend with prams though, as you need to carry them up and down the stairs. We walked to borough markets, which was great! Lots of food options and great markets. Definitely worth a visit if you stay here.

Difficult getting checked in due to staff not know where things where, can’t fault them though other than that our trip went very smoothly

Full time reception was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful when we had a small issue (quickly sorted). The room was a good size, plus a good kitchen. The location was particularly convenient for our needs. The nearest tube is only 3 minutes walk away, and Borough Market was also an easy 10 minutes walk away. Having a Tesco supermarket right next door was also very convenient.

If you are using the couch as a fold-out bed it would be helpful to have one other comfy chair in the apartment.

Our 2-bedroom/2 bathroom apartment was very spacious with lots of room to spread out, even with the two large double sofa-beds in open plan living-room/kitchen opened-up. Full-kitchen included dishwasher, washing machine, full-size fridge, lots of counter-space etc. Location convenient for London Bridge station (30-min fast train to Gatwick) Borough Market etc. Tesco express on ground floor of building. While there were five of us, the apartment could accommodate up to 4-couples (with two couples sharing the open-plan living room). Balcony also nice plus.

While apartment could officially accommodate up to 8-people, there were only 4 chairs and a small breakfast table that was too small even for our family of 5 - although there was plenty of space in the apartment to have a big dining table with 8-chairs. Yes, we ate dinner out, but still nice to be able to sit down together for breakfast or a cup of coffee... At the end of the day, the apartment was very expensive for our family of 5, but probably better value for 3/4 couples.
