Loved the bedroom

Feel very risky to not have phone in bedroom and no phone on reception for emergencies I was told any problems go to bar. That is not good enough at night Also very bad that one cannot phone the hotel. For example if my phone had broken or lost it and someone needed to contact me that would be impossible Could be someone in corridor causing disturbance and guest can’t get to reception Likewise have to leave room to make a drink.

This is the classic, false hipster trendy place, which is actually a mix between an hotel and an appart hotel with no management but bartenders. Honestly, it's fine, the bar lobby is really cool, and the location is great. But the bedroom is really cheap, all white, the bathroom area is way too small, the toilet intimacy is limit. And the bedding just ok. For the area, it's nice to have something alright. But just alright, not more...

Staff were really friendly and nice, hotel was clean and comfortable, good area and the bar and seating area in the lobby were very nice too.

The shower being in a glass tube next to the bed was a little weird, but I didn't mind it that much. You can't open the windows, so a ventilation system runs. I slept significantly worse, felt like I was on a plane.

Modern, great location, and kind service

1- No kettle in the room 2- Windows designed to be sealed glass an not openable for ventilation or getting fresh air 3- Bedsheets were never replaced during my five nights stay even after I extended my stay from 3 to 5 nights 4- At the breakfast restaurant, only one person serving all people in the restaurant. This made it overwhelming for him and sometimes my orders of coffee or tea skipped/forgotten 5- Carpet in the rooms corridor requires to be vacuumed as it has some dust and dirts

Modern, easy to check in, free cocktail for waiving cleaning service nice staff, ice water with cucumber in check by in, nice lounge. If two people go for a bigger room. Also liked the tea and other service area on every other floor.

Actually I liked pretty much everything except London prices. Maybe some discount for multiple days….or something! The shower was big (for London) and a bit odd but pulled curtain and that was better (shower is not in separate bathroom it is in the main. Broom but can pull a curtain which I kept pulled)

Lovely hotel. Had already read that there was no kettle in the room (although (good quality) tea and (instant) coffee is supplied at refreshment stations on each floor) so I brought my own. I also brought a mug because I don't like hotel sized cups. As it turned out the cups at the station are paper so if that's important bring your own. There's also no fridge in the room and as I was staying a week and did not want to eat out at every meal I bought a small portable mini fridge to keep bits of food cool. Air con was great. Bed and pillows were super comfy. I also had a whicker armchair which didn't look comfortable but was - not all rooms have this. I was in an accessible room which meant it was larger than average but do note basins are low and the loo much higher but the size of the room and the fact you have a proper bathroom door (no shower inside the room) more than make up for it. They don't clean your room every day unless you request it but you do get a clean every few days (and a drinks voucher) which suited me fine. Products in the bathroom are a nice quality. I left this hotel feeling great.

Very little. The wardrobe was comically short though - so short that you couldn't even hang a standard tee-shirt in it. There was a shelf underneath that technically could be removed with a drill but it would still only suit jacket and trousers. They did supply me with a rail on wheels which was perfect. Lavatory had a leak that was reported but not fixed but they may have forgotten. The floor of the bathroom was a greyish cement that looked as if it stained easily. It was pretty marked.

Excellent breakfast and service. The location is great. It is a short walk to Holland Park which is great for a walk in the morning and very close to Hyde Park. Easy to commute to the rest of London. Very nice idea the cocktail vouchers.

I did notice that there was a spillage of coffee on the left-hand side of the bed. Maybe someone could double-check before they give the room to a new customer?

This lovely jolly environment gives itself away immediately you walk onto its space. There’s no formal reception, just a bar area with wonderfully polite and helpful staff so you don’t feel that you have to be formal and that you can pop in and out and always be recognised and welcomed back when you return during or at the end of the day. I,sadly, was there for the last days of an immediate family member who resided in a care home nearby. I was able to come and go and be by his side and as the days went on, I had to add on an extra night. The staff were so accommodating, particularly Bianca in whom I confided the reason for my visit and at the end of each day she was a great comfort and would be waiting with my favourite cocktail! On the last day when he passed she was just lovely to me and I felt that I could go to the hotel and not be amongst strangers. I really like the set up with the informal decor and interesting cosy corners, being able to also see out into the street and watch the world go by. I had booked a Wow room on the 6th floor which was spacious and light. Super comfy bed and surprisingly quiet for a London location. My only beef, as with most hotels, is that the pillows are very thick. I’m a weird one, I love a thin pillow, and pretty much the only ones like that are feather pillows and I totally understand why hotels don’t provide them due to allergies, but this is such a minor point it’s not even worth mentioning! I didn’t get to try the breakfast but I’ve been told it’s fab. If the cocktails are anything to go by, I can imagine it’s good. Value for money in Notting Hill, is 10/10. I was back in my old haunt where I used to live for almost 40 years after having moved to the country 18 months ago. It was the perfect place to stay for me in familiar territory.

On the positive side, the hotel has a lovely atmosphere and is beautifully designed, staff greeted me warmly every time I entered the hotel, located in a great neighborhood with plenty to offer. The rooms are well-insulated and soundproof, which I truly appreciated for a good night’s sleep.

Although the room was generally clean, I noticed dirty fingerprints on the bathroom and shower doors and even found fake eyelashes near the mirror, which detracted from the overall experience. Also, while I think it's fine and a good idea that the room isn't cleaned daily (the staff almost makes you feel guilty at check-in if you don't opt for this), the cost savings should be reflected in the price rather than a free drink at the bar.

The room was super clean and the staff were friendly

The rooms doesn’t have a phone in it which was hard when we wanted to request something from the reception, didn’t provide bottles of water or slippers
