This is the 2nd time that I've stayed in the hostel - great location in quiet Holland Park (closest tube station is High Street Kensington, circle - yellow - and district - green - line). Very close to the Design Museum. The hostel was perfectly clean. The dorm had triple bunks with curtains all around the bed for privacy. Bed was comfortable and the en suite shower had good hot water. Would happily stay there again
A UK plug couldn't fit in the socket by my bed (faulty) - fine for USB use, but my devices weren't compatible with that. No towels for hire so could only buy a dry towel for £6 (better to bring your own!)

The price The staff The fact that it's located in a very nice place, and that it is a castle
Some people are very noisy and dont care about the others. But it depends on the people, and they are often very quiet and respectful.

come on the hostel is very nice, clean and tidy, the staff very attentive yes .. the rooms are very good to spend a few days ... now what I see wrong is mixed rooms ... when they should be FEMALE rooms and MALE rooms a woman feels comfortable with other women and not in a room with men 10 women in a room will feel comfortable among themselves but in a mixed room I imagine it must be very uncomfortable since a man can be in his room however he wants to sleep however he wants but with women inside he can't ... also women with men near them looking at them is uncomfortable for a girl ... I think it should be FEMALE and MALE rooms ... the breakfast is good for something but it would be nice if they added other things of the 5 days that I was there I only had breakfast twice because day after day it was the same ... otherwise the hostel is very good quiet .. would I come back YES .. but my opinion regarding the rooms is that remember that there is a lot of abuse by men to girls and I think that There shouldn't be mixed rooms.
What I mentioned before about the skills, they should take into account that women alone in rooms would be comfortable, however in rooms with men they would feel bad... since women have their things among themselves and being in a shared room with men might be uncomfortable... otherwise everything is fine for me, I would come back

Holland Park Tourist Hostel is a fantastic accommodation option, perfectly situated in the heart of Holland Park. The hostel's proximity to local shops is incredibly convenient, with a short 5-minute walk getting you everything you need. This charming hostel is an ideal spot to unwind and recharge for a couple of days. One of the highlights is the delicious breakfast served every morning, providing the perfect start to your day. Additionally, the hostel offers laundry facilities, making it easy to keep your belongings fresh and clean during your stay. With its impressive amenities and lovely atmosphere, this hostel is sure to make your stay in Holland Park memorable and enjoyable

The location in the park and close to transport possibilities is very good. The room was quite spacious considering it was a dorm. It is nice to sit in the small garden, have something to eat and listen to the outdoor opera.
I missed the curtains around the beds that were there on earlier visits, to a degree they shut out latecomers in the dorm. I got lots of emails both before and after (!) the visit, saying that the payment had not gone through (though it had), it seems that they need to look through their digital systems.

Location, Closeness to Holland Park Tube station( 10 min walk) and Kensington high street station tube stn, , spacious garden / Park atmosphere of the hostel, premises inside/within the vast London Holland Park . Luggage storage facility , big reception hall .
No Microwave oven to heat outside bought food / No common kitchen for guests . To quite a mention, the route from Holland Park Tube station/ Main Road to hostel is quite difficult to locate for the new comers ., and we need to walk an uphill and down 15 mins approx ., to reach the premises. But , subsequently, will be used to. On one occasion for two or more days , the toilets (flush overflow) at first floor in the castle quarters weren't working properly , it was a very bad experience. Anyways , as its a Hostel with lots guests , its bound to happen , at times .

Reviewed many times in the past. Nothing has changed. A beautiful property in a beautiful location of west London. An outstanding & reasonably priced place to stay & get around from. It is quiet & peaceful with close proximity to Holland Park for walking. Shops are nearby(10 mins walk) at either Holland park or Kensington High street. Public transport also at both locations for access to London & Nationally from Paddington station incl heathrow airport by Heathrow express or Elizabeth line. I would not hesitate to recommend it. Staff are friendly & helpful & recognise frequent visitors.
No problems whatsoever.

Beautiful and unique. So full of charm and near the beautiful park. We could hear opera coming from the nearby music hall as well. Employees were so nice.
The beds need another laying to make them more comfortable and less noisy. The plastic makes a very loud noise every time you roll over or adjust to get comfortable. The shower button wouldn’t stay on so you have to push it to turn the water back on every 15 seconds. Each time it got hotter and hotter. Made for a difficult time showering.

I've stayed here countless times. It's one of the best hostels in London. I love walking through Holland Park. Last I checked, this hostel had a low rating. Chances are these ratings are from people who just love to complain, or they have unrealistic expectations of a hostel. The only annoying thing is that people in the dorm sometimes keep the lights on and chat after 11pm. The hostel should just switch all dorm lights off at 11pm, because it's not fair to people who trying to get some sleep before they wake up early. On one night, we had someone walk in and switch the light on at 1:30am.

The setting was tranquil and calm, It really looked like a place to relax. It was also set within a park which oozed elegance. Breakfast was continental and self serve. The phone charger wire usb was cheap to buy Carpet in the rooms kept the under bed wheeled cage lock ups quiet
Just rails on the bunk steps were a bit narrow for bare feet. The repeat push button showers but this saved water when you learned to rinse sud up then wash in the lull then rinse again. A small table in the bedrooms, nothing to organise on.
