During my recent stay at The Queen’s Gate Hotel, I encountered an unexpected and stressful problem — I had accidentally left my passport at the hotel while travelling to Manchester for a flight the next day. What followed was an extraordinary display of care and professionalism from the hotel manager, who took full personal responsibility for assisting me. She spent several hours of her own day helping to arrange an urgent shipment via UPS, communicating with their service team and following up repeatedly to ensure the passport would reach me in time. Her dedication, calm handling of a high-pressure situation, and willingness to go far beyond what is normally expected of hotel staff made a huge difference. This kind of genuine support is rare to find and deserves special recognition. My sincere thanks to the manager and the entire team — your commitment to your guests is exceptional. Highly recommended hotel not just for comfort and location, but for the people who truly care.

Our stay at this hotel was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and spacious everything was. The staff were incredibly welcoming and courteous, making us feel right at home. We were also delighted to receive a free room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise! Our room was spotless, very spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The mattress was amazing, ensuring we had a wonderful night's sleep. Location-wise, it was perfect for our needs – very close to the subway and conveniently near the concert venue we were attending. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and would absolutely love to return in the future.

Breakfast price is fixed at £20 per head. I would have liked another lower priced option for a quick, small breakfast e.g. just a coffee and pastry.

We were a party of three, staying just one night as we were going to see a show at the Royal Albert Hall, we booked one room with 3 single beds, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, although one of our party found the pillows a little hard, the other two of us were fine with the pillows, otherwise we all slept really well, only two of of our party wanted breakfast the next morning and that was very enjoyable, a very good choice of fruits, cereal, cheese, pastries and full English, all of which was buffet style, the two of us who ate said that it was the best breakfast we’ve had in a hotel and we have stayed in a good few hotels between us over many years, the location of the hotel to the theatre was only a six minute walk which was a main factor in booking this hotel, all the staff were very polite and helpful, it was a pleasure to stay here even though it was only one night for us! We would recommend The Queens Gate Hotel to anyone and would definitely stay there again ourselves especially if we were going to the same theatre again at anytime in the future.

I can’t think of anything apart from one of our party feeling the pillows were a bit hard!

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location for London, a short walk to Hyde Park, the National History Museum and The Royal Albert Hall. Also very close to Kensington Palace and high street so plenty to do in the area. London has changed in times but we felt very safe in this area and had no concerns, it was very easy to hail a cab or uber too. Staff are wonderful and attentive, so helpful and welcoming. Room and bathroom were spotless, smaller rooms but expected for london we still felt we had plenty of space. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant so can’t comment here.

Only thing I would have liked would be a kettle in the room for tea, a lovely coffee machine but can’t make a decent tea with that and not everyone is a coffee drinker. Mini bar was well stocked but very pricey for the items inside.

Liked the space, desk/vanity area and the extras in the room like the little bag full of lotions, pillow spray, etc. It's those extras that make a stay stand out above other hotels. Having coffee in the room is lovely and enough bottled water to use as well as tote around town. That was very nice. Plenty of storage space. Bed was comfortable too, but overall, the staff stood out. They were professional and friendly at the front desk, concierge was helpful with booking a taxi, the bag porter was wonderful with information explaining the thermostat, coffee area, snacks in the refrigerator, and offered to suggest some sites to see. We didn't eat at the hotel but went to Wagtail Rooftop Bar (pictured) on the terrace and guests will have this view of London if seated outside.

Not much we didn't like other than better access to the tube, but the walk is pleasant. Maybe better signage for guests for the lift or navigating all the stairs, but again, we found where we were going just asking staff around the hotel.

Location was excellent, great sized room recently renovated so spotless clean and modern technology for operating lights, AC etc. charging points beside each of the three beds. Bar in hotel very expensive. They are still renovating and this hotel but other than a note under the door to say water would be off fir a couple of hours one day and the lift stopping on a wrong floor where we could see extensive renovations being done we never noticed or headd anything. Staff were very friendly particularly the porters at the front door who were ready to assist with luggage, umbrellas and directions. Will definitely stay here again .

Price in the bar very expensive

Classic, comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. Room was lovely and comfortable. We liked the bed (on the soft side if that's of interest). Everything impeccably clean. Royal Albert Hall, V&A and other museums nearby. Bus and underground are close. We would stay here again certainly!

Nothing really to complain about. A few more hooks or rails for towels would be useful, but that is minor. Note (nothing to do with the hotel, obviously) that the nearest subway stations have no elevators or ramps. So if you leave with more and heavier luggage as we did 😉 you might want to consider taking a taxi or Uber to one of the stations listed as handicapped access.

The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful areas of London with safe and elegant surrounding. The room was big and very bright, with a modern style and new appliances. It looks like just freshly renovated. The beds were very comfortable and the isolation with respect to the other rooms was very good. Water was provided every day. The bar was also cosy. The personnel was very kind and helpful, a particular mention to Joshua. Around the area there are some of the most important museum and beautiful hide park. The area is wells served by bus or metro (10 minutes walk). It is not in the most central part of London and therefore you have less restaurants but still enough choices in several directions, some very close or maximum 10 minutes walk. Overall I would definitively recommend it.

The floor was not cleaned perfectly or up to the standard of the hotel up to me. The windows are not isolating very well with respect to the traffic. We did not take the breakfast, so I am not judging on the quality of it, the main reason was the price per person that we considered too expensive. Maybe the possibility of reduced formula for breakfast can be considered.

The hotel is at the Queen's Gate which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the South Kensington tube station on the Piccadilly and the District and Circle lines. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets around the station therefore we didn't have to worry about food. The hotel is also surrounded by museums and the Imperial colleague is right opposite to the hotel. Walking to the National History Museum is just 10 minutes. The area is generally safe and quiet. We were booked into their triple room where there are 3 single beds which is super rare for hotels in London. The room is extremely spacious and we still have a lot of rooms to move around even with 3 big suite cases lying on the floor.

The bathroom is definitely not set-up for 3 people as it is small and with no efficient towel hangers and racks to put stuff in the bathroom. The design of the shower glass door is also a failure as the bathroom floor would be entirely wet as it pushed outside the shower to open hence the bathroom floor mat couldn't be placed properly as it obstruct the shower door to open. Our group of 3 girls stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and our toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner were never replenished.

Beautiful looking building set in Kensington and Chelsea district.Great base for lots of attractions Albert Hall Natural History Museum Hyde Park etc.Staff were brilliant very helpful and very smart.Breakfast was very good a big variety of choices

It’s not a complaint but pillows were very hard and weren’t comfortable so didn’t get any sleep.I did say this and was told I could have got soft pillows at reception but at 2am I didn’t want to venture out the room. Also as we were going to a concert at The Royal Albert Hall prices are always double or more normal rate so you are paying for the area and location of the property.
