Quinn and the bar staff impeccable, checking in and out with the girls 10/10, the staff are a real credit to the place

The manager.. having stayed a few times now, he talked down to staff, belittling In front of us all to see, very poor management skills, when actually didn’t really seem to know much himself, Also wasn’t helpful on my previous stay, but left it, but was rude and obnoxious to me and worse my wife and little boy, Better just to deal with the great staff and perfect location, If you wish to follow up more than welcome to give more detail

Breakfast was good, room was spacious and clean (apart from one sticky patch on the floor near the window). They had a little cabinet where you could buy toiletries etc that you'd forgotten which was useful. Really close to the centre/river. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Having to pay for parking at a hotel you've paid to stay at is a rip off in my opinion. We were also asked to leave the breakfast area once we'd finished eating. We were sat drinking our coffees and having a chat and it wasn't busy at all and still had 20 minutes left before breakfast finished. They obviously wanted to get a head start on cleaning up but it felt rude

The 2 ladies on reception when we arrived were absolutely brilliant. Really welcoming and professional and very helpful.

Our biggest disappointment was that there were no privacy curtains. The window looked out to an office block across the road and they could see directly into our room. This meant that on a warm and sunny day, I had to have the curtains closed when getting ready. This meant the room was very dark - no large over light - and not really practical. I couldn't even relax on the bed without closing the curtains at all times.

The location of the Leonardo is excellent with a short walk to good restaurants and the city. The night views of the bridges were great. The room was spacious and comfortable with a high level of cleanliness. On site facilities are good, there is a pleasant seating area with river views.

It was very slow checking in, the staff were very good and patient but overstretched. The breakfast was somewhat chaotic with items frequently running out, there seemed to be too few staff and the young man we saw was very busy. The bar area is not inspiring with very basic tables and chairs and only one sofa area.

Staff were efficient and happy to help. Room temperature was perfect, had everything I could want in the room and the bed was fresh and very comfy. Loved having a bath too, which ran hot and fast! Breakfast spread was fantastic, potatoes, mushrooms, watermelon, crumpets, nice fruity toppings. Nice view of the river.

The room looked super clean, but I did end up with a mystery hair and some mystery gunk on myself I couldn't attribute to anywhere else. I got the key card stuck in the door of my first room. I had to ask someone to go out of their way for oat milk even at breakfast time and there was no vegan labeling. Adding an alternative milk and veggie sausages to the breakfast spread just seems like an obvious easy thing to do to be more accommodating, I already felt awkward asking for the milk so I just guessed at what else I could eat.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel. We both had a fantastic time. We had a beautiful room with a view of the millennium bridge and river tyne. The staff were amazing, polite, and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great and good value for money. My 6 year old daughter wanted to order her own dinner, to which she wrote out her order on paper and gave it to the bar staff they were fantastic and so good with her. Breakfast had a great selection of food. The location was perfect for us. The millennium bridge and Tyne bridge were a 5-minute walk away and made a beautiful backdrop for an evening scooter ride. Highly recommend a visit to the Baltic art centre which is next to the hotel free entry and you get some amazing views of Newcastle. The life science centre is also a must visit, especially if you have kids. Kids get a goody bag on arrival, which my daughter loved. Upon leaving, the manager gave her an extra bag so she could play hotels at home. This was our first mother daughter trip, and all the staff made it one to remember. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Newcastle, and we will definitely be back.

I booked a king room and when we arrived we got an executive room which was lovely with huge kingsize bed, fridge stocked with bottled water, 2 cans diet Pepsi and 2 kit kat chocolate biscuits which were all replenished daily. I asked for Riverside View and that's exactly what we got looking out onto the millennium bridge lit up every night.Also received 4 vouchers for a free drink of my choice at the hotel bar and a voucher for 20% off all food and drinks too.Buffet breakfast was lovely every morning with the choice of a cooked breakfast also if you wanted it.Very clean and tidy hotel and reception smelt amazing everyday

The pillows were not very supportive when sleeping other than that I loved it

It was in a great location right on the Tyne away from the hustle and bustle of Newcastle town centre. Just a short walk to the town over the bridge. Great view across the river. The beds were so comfy, we had a great nights sleep The food was lovely. We had food on the evening and breakfast the next day. The food was great especially the breakfast. Lots to choose from and well presented. The barman on the evening was very polite and very helpful

If I had to be picky the bathroom needed a little tlc. There was some black marks on the walls and the side panel on the bath had marks on it. The air vent was very dusty and there wasn’t any fan to take the steam away. There wasn’t any onsite parking for us at the time and we did have to park about 10 minute walk away which was £8.00 for 24 hours. This wasn’t a problem for us but might have been a problem for immobile people. There is another car park just next to the hotel but this is very expensive.

I’ve stayed here for over a week and one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. Typical North East warm, friendly hospitality. The staff are just so nice, with tons of friendly advice and superb local knowledge and so easy to approach and talk to if there was any problems. So thank you to Isabella, Charlotte, Ann, Regan and Monica for absolutely superb five star service. The view I had was great as well and the food is nice as well as a good selection of drinks. Superb location too right next to the Millennium Bridge and easy connections to Newcastle and Sunderland and the wider North East. Will definitely return.

I really don’t want to find I can’t book next time if others find out how good this place is! The truth is I have stopped here before and liked it, but more so now. From the Staff down to the cleaners nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very good quality, well cooked, plenty of everything for everyone. The beds are out of this world plus the pillows! My partner at this moment is ordering the same pillows for our home. Plenty of hot water with the right pressure in the shower over the bath. We will be back.
