The location is very handy, it always has rooms available when I’m booking, good car parking, breakfast is generally readily ready and available, staff always pleasant and friendly , room fine for a couple nights stay, beds comfy

Carpets do need a clean Bathroom needs a bit more of a clean, and really needs more ventilation. Cups available for coffee machine, and may be a bit more attention to filling up breakfast trays, though think not many staff on to deal with kitchen🤷‍♀️ I use this hotel a couple of times a year, it’s handy for family visits, will use again 😊

I stayed for one night the room was clean and comfortable and decent value. However my stay was ruined when I received a parking ticket for £100 two weeks later. Apparently I should have put a voucher in my car to show I was staying at the hotel. Why did no one on reception offer me a voucher or mention this to me when I booked in. It's unlikely that anyone staying at this particular Hotel would not arrive by car. Needless to say I was not at all pleased. I wanted to phone the hotel or your head office to complain about the incident only to find none of your hotels have a customer line and your head office is in France. I am unlikely to stay in another Ibis Hotel.

The bed was comfortable, room was a good size. Good to get your head down for a night but not much more. For what you pay it isn't a bad night's stay, but it could do with updating.

I booked an accessible room only to be told on arrival they didn't have any available. Luckily they have a lift as all I could have was a room on the 2nd floor and I cant do stairs. The bathroom floor behind the door was filthy and there was a puddle of dirty water on the floor. The mattress topper was curling up at the edges and the carpet made my socks black. The corridors smelt like old kebabs.

For a budget hotel it exceeded all my expectations. The room was warm, clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. There was no noise at all during my stay so was able to concentrate on doing some computer work.

Receptionist asked me if it was the first time staying at an Ibis but failed to explain how the lighting in the room worked, so was back and fro trying to sort out. There was a profound stink of cannabis in the lift and corridors but I suppose the staff cant control this.

You have cctv cameras in the car park, which gives confidence about leaving your vehicle their. Each room has its own tv shower & toilet, which is very good. Also there is plenty of room & you don't feel cramped, the location of hotel is also very good, just off M18 & supermarket opposite if needed. So all in all everything just about right, if I had to be picky, I would suggest that paying £12.00 for a breakfast, to be on the expensive side.

My bathroom had hairs all over the floor, other than that, besides hefty charge for a breakfast, everything was perfect.

The staff we encountered I believe names were Karen on check in but I'm sorry I can't remember the lady in the mornings, Sally or Debbie comes to mind, both were phenomenal, excellent customer service. I previously worked as Hotel Operations for another brand, and I have to say, these ladies do your site and brand proud. If I still worked in hotels, I would without a doubt want them!! Keep them happy, they clearly enjoy what they do. Intact they deserve recognition! Hospitality is a hard, thankless job from within and people like these 2 should not be taken for granted! If it helps your search for who they are we checked in on the 1st April and out on the 3rd. It was the ladies that did your PM shift and your AM shift. Unfortunately I didn't encounter your night team as ofcourse I was sleeping peacefully, but I'm sure they are Stella employees too!! Please ensure that they get noticed! Our room was also very clean too (as I said, I've been in the industry a long time and know what I'm looking for!!)

Matress not as comfy but I still slept well!! So not a biggie, but could do with investment in the future!

Easy to find, quiet & clean… staff at booking in and also on departure were just decent lovely friendly people. The hotel itself is just value for the price paid, we shall stay again when visiting the Yorkshire area. There is an excellent pub/restaurant “The Sir Jack” only a stones thrown from the hotel, that we’d recommend… has a very good menu, the carvery is exceptional.!

There was nothing to dislike, we stayed in room 203… had a good nights sleep, a decent shower in the morning, as I said… nothing to dislike.!

I use this hotel as a stopping off point between London and Newcastle to break my journey. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the car parking is very easy. The hotel is basic and the rooms a little tired, but it is clean and does exactly what I need it to do. Very close to the M18 so back on the road in less than a minute.

As I visited after the snow, there could have been more done to salt/grit the car park and pathways. OK for me but could be treacherous for the elderly.

Room relatively clean, Close to other amenities. Good location. Friendly staff apart from one on reception when checking in. We booked 2 stays, one for 1 night, the other for 2 nights but all consecutive. Was told by receptionist that we may have to leave after the first night and then wait until the afternoon to check in again in a different room for the next 2 nights, another receptionist intervened and said that this wouldn't happen and we could stay in the same room for all 3 nights.

Some residue drink stains on the wall, shower could have been cleaner, radiator loose on wall. Hand towels would be good. As mentioned in other bit, receptionist didn't make things easy and made us feel quite uncomfortable.

Our dog was made welcome and stayed at no extra cost. There was a really good place to eat right next door. Despite being on a main road, and next to a motorway, the room was surprisingly quiet. The room was spacious. The hot water was great in both the tap and shower cubicle. No sudden temperature changes experienced.

The carpets were badly stained in the public areas. The room was tired; bathroom tiles repaired and mismatched, damaged wallpaper in the bedroom.
