The building and its grounds are exquisite. Our room was very comfortable and we very much enjoyed wandering around the Italian gardens, taking in all the flowers and water features. However, the best thing about our stay was the staff. Due to a family emergency, my partner and I had to cut our stay regrettably short and return to Scotland. The lady we encountered on reception was very understanding and communicated the situation clearly to Booking.com. I wish I had gotten her name. She was very swift in handling the changes to our arrangements; my partner and I very much appreciated her efficiency. Billah, who was on reception the night we arrived, was also exceptional and made us feel very welcome at the front desk. We’ll most definitely be back to make up for lost time.

There was no air conditioning in our room. Ultimately this wasn’t a problem for us—we were well equipped with two fans—but it’s something to note if you’re used to air conditioning in summer months.

The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds with paths leading up to walks through the hills and into Stratford. We stayed in one of the apartments which was modern, clean and well decorated. We had breakfast and dinner in the bar rather than the restaurant because we had a dog with us, but the bar is lovely with comfy sofas and wood panelling so we did not miss out! We sat in the bay window with views out over the gardens and the golf course. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and could not have done more to help - bringing water for the dog, bringing fresh pastries for our table and generally looking out for us. We also used the wonderful spa and gym every day - a fantastic break.

Nothing - I loved it!

I liked surroundings and how big room was, it was very surprising, I enjoyed how preserved the place is and efford to even refurbish the furniture, gives incredible feel to the whole property. the garden is absolutely stunning and incredible.

the rooms could use extra cleaning for lamps and dead bugs, also making sure ALL shelves are dusted. room was facing outside tables and unfortunately many smoked there and were talking till late which disrupts the rest if you want to keep windows open. Where and when to eat with dogs is also tricky, because we were told one information and situation was different when had to actually eat, especially at breakfast. wasnt clear how to get restaurant food with dogs, all was offered bar menu, which is not the best

You can’t help but be over-awed when you pull up to the hotel - a picturesque, long winding driveway opens up to a beautiful, imposing manor at the top. A stunning building and setting, with plenty of parking and a fairly short - and scenic - walk into the city centre. A wonderfully warm greeting at Reception and we were allocated one of the new ‘concept’ refurbished rooms in the more modern annex, which was quiet and pretty, with a very comfortable super-kingside bed. The impromptu birthday celebration that the fabulous team organised for us at short-notice in the restaurant was also very special!

Parts of the annex look a bit tired and could do with a refresh. But everywhere is spotlessly clean.

The 4-poster suite we stayed in was absolutely GORGEOUS - such a comfortable bed, beautiful view of the gardens, huge bathroom - really charming look and feel - very opulant and felt like a real treat! The breakfast was super good! Continually being topped up / refreshed and great variety of both hot and cold food and pastries. Sarah on reception, was lovely! Super helpful after there was some minor booking confusion.

There were some small attention to detail issues and the bar often felt a little understaffed so there can be a bit of a wait for service. But, the staff are all lovely. The quality of food in the restaurant could be higher, especially for the price. Though the setting of the restaurant / bar was lovely.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Views of the grounds were amazing. Good selection at breakfast. Comfortable beds, if you like a firmer mattress anyway. Spa was lovely and quiet. Beautiful period property

The wardrobe in our room was broken, the door was off its hinges. The TV remote was intermittent when trying to use. Due to the age of the property some areas are a bit tired and could do with cleaning and improving. Could have more lighting options as the middle of the room was dark and that is where the dressing table is placed. No lift up 2 flights of stairs so be warned if you aren't fit.

Our room was fantastic . Very comfortable, and so spacious. Also a really quiet room The leisure swimming pool, jacuzzi, and spa were lovely . Although the Sauna and steam room were too hot to stay in more than a few seconds

Unfortunately, due to a large group of golfers, we had to wait longer than expected for our meal. But the staff were very apologetic and gave us some free drinks. Also there wasn't a lot of choice on the evening meal. It was rather expensive and relatively small portions. The food was good. The hotel is lovely but does need some repairs and renovating. The garden area is quite dangerous in places. Uneven slabs, which I unfortunately tripped on one by the water fountain and fell to the floor hurting my knee. Not seriously but could have been avoided if more maintenance. Or at least some warning signs.

Coupled with the stunning scenery, every moment was a delight. Overall, this hotel provided a really nice experience that left a lasting impression. We're already planning our return!

The beauty of the hotel and grounds are stunning. Easy to get to Stratford-upon-Avon centre. Upon arrival we were dealt with extremely well, by staff member :Bilal. Settled into our rooms. There was an issue with a sofa bed in an apartment, but an excellent alternative was given by staff member :Mark. Breakfast was good, but made so much better with the attentive and friendly staff member :Muts. Spa facilities were great. The pool, steam room, sauna, and again the friendly staff. Made it a great few days away with the girls! Will definitely recommend and stay again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful They dealt with requests immediately. The starters and desserts at dinner were very good both nights.Breakfasts were excellent. The rooms are a very good size and the beds extremely comfortable.. The swimming pool is a good size and the water sparkling clean. We enjoyed a game of golf.So convenient to have this course right next to the hotel

We would have liked more choice of main course at dinner. On the first night the pork belly was unavailable and the fish was dry and hard. This was corrected the second night. Some of us would have paid a supplement for steak
