The rooms and lobby at Soma house are recently fully refurbished, really really comfortable, clean and fresh. The staff are welcoming and so helpful especially Naomi. A short walk to public transport, a grocery store, laundromat and the bustling centre of the city. 10min public transport ride to the waterfront.

Some of the new renovations are still ongoing such as the gym and restaurant. The area is in the heart of homelessness in SF which was confronting but I had no trouble.

Quirky, funky little property in what should be an ideal location in San Francisco just off of Market street. There are still a lot of troubled, unhoused peopled around and while they are generally not threatening they can make some people feel uncomfortable. If you are, like me, okay with that, this hotel is a fabulous find. Its rooms are large and safely tucked away from the street. The lobby is welcoming and cheerful yet protected by a guard.

Nothing not to like.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the rooftop heated pool. The staff at the hotel was excellent and very accommodating. Free parking with security watching your car 24/7.

The neighborhood is pretty rough with homeless people, plus trash and filth on the streets. You are literally going to see homeless people, if not trip over them from time to time. The front desk gave us safer alternatives to reach the cable cars and Union Square, but when the sun goes down I recommend Uber to head downtown.

I would rather they just increase the room price $20 rather than adding a $20 per day amenity fee.

I like the smooth process of checking in and the place was cozy and comfy.The locality was accessible to go to different areas and explore San Francisco.

The water dispenser only gives cold water, considering the chill climate and the cold winds, providing cold water here isn't a good idea. Plus there are only 2 lifts to move around the floors.

The property was really clean and so welcoming ! I really loved how sweet the staff was especially Sam ! I will be visiting again soon !! Thank you guys !!

The only thing I didn’t like is that the WiFi was really on and off like the connection wasn’t that good so it was hard for us to connect to the tv.

Close to trolley. Staff was friendly with directions, much appreciated. Room nicely remodeled.

Breakfast little cheap on pastries. Parking pricy. Room did not have a fridge.

The fact that the parking was included in the stay and the staff were really friendly.

We could hear the people above us stomping around. Not that big a deal, but the breakfast pastries were on the stale side.

Location was great as we needed to be close to the medical facility where our brother was a patient.

Excessive fees added.

Room was spacious and clean. Area was quite. Ceiling fan was a plus.

Shower had zero to low pressure. Im hoping that was just an issue with this room specifically
