Room very clean, looked like recently renovated, big bed, very efficient A/C - top notch. The place sits on the ocean so beach is adjacent to the building and there are some sunbeds for guests. This is a motel type building with gallery entrance. No matter where you get the room you always feel like being on a beach with this ocean breeze around you. Check-in was fast and check-out as well - all done in a surfer style - which matches the surroundings and we liked it.

We usedB&B offer and Bed part was absolutely as expected - very good. Breakfast part on the contrary. Bar/restaurant area needs decent cleaning and sanitation. Food selection and quality very poor. Totally no gluten free options so to me it was only two eggs and coffee. Even though the chef came out and was looking after the guests having dinner this is not what a 21st century place should offer to customers. Frankly I wonder how is it legally arranged that dining place like this gets certified.

This a nice place in a great location, centrally located in the Keys so easy driving distance to most places (we definitely recommend visiting the turtle hospital nearby). The staff, especially Maurin, were very friendly and helpful in resolving any issues that we had with the room. The rooms are a bit older and not really logical in terms of layout, so we had a few issues with 2 of the 4 of us needing separate beds, but everything was resolved to our satisfaction with hardly any hassle. It has a heated pool with towels available, and a very nice little private beach area to chill and enjoy the sunrise/sunset.

If you've been on the road and had Denny's-sized breakfasts for 2 weeks, the included breakfast at the café might disappoint a bit, but in reality it was quite OK, just a normal portion. It's also at a nice location to start the day with a view over the water.

This is a funky/cool little place, and we liked it here. Wonderful beach, pool, and hot tub. The owners are wonderful & accommodate if they can. We liked the location near Curry Hammock, but be aware it's at least 6 miles into town. The restaurant has an awesome chef, but is small and limited hours. They're open roughly 5pm - 9ish and closed Tues & Wed. You also MUST make a reservation, and you might not get in the night(s) you're there, as it's the 'nice dinner out' place to go for locals. Order the duck, it's awesome. Although everything else is too! Breakfast is not fancy, but it's cooked to order!

Booking's "do you want to upgrade" email told us we'd get a room w/ a view, which isn't what we got. When talking about this w/ the office, this seems to be a pretty common issue, and IMO needs to be worked out. This is an updated 'old Florida' place, right on Rt 1 so road noise is an issue if you're not facing the water. Also- just be aware - there isn't a bar or restaurant available onsite (other than the Thurs-Mon, reservations-only restaurant mentioned above). Like I said, just be aware.

We stayed 5 nights in a one bedroom suite in May 2024 and just loved it. Rainbow Bend is a real Keys experience; super relaxing and laid back. To be honest I wasn't sure about booking here because of the mixed reviews, but for us the property was just perfect in every way. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Kayaks are provided. Staying right on the waterfront is fabulous and there's lots of space for all the guests. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was great. The staff are friendly and helpful, and we would definitely stay again. There are not many of these properties left in the Keys and I'm so glad we found Rainbow Bend.

You can't really swim at the beach here because of the seaweed, but we weren't expecting to. We visited a lot of nice beaches nearby.

The location, views and outside amenities were great. The bathrooms were wonderful and very clean, which is important. The living space could have used a little more attention to detail but the longer we were there, we said it was perfect because you are not there to sit inside, you are there to be outside and explore the area! We said we would definitely come back to this spot.

Just small little things that could have used attention in the living space but overall great stay

It was great for the price. Our rooms weren't necessarily close but they were two different types of rooms. And the property is so small that it was still close in proximity. The rooms were clean enough. The pool was clean. It was a nice stay and we would definitely return.

It could have been a little cleaner. The outside deck from the kitchen and laundry, above the pool area was an eyesore. The coffee pots on the rooms could use some updating. All rooms could use a broom seeing as there is no cleaning during your stay. Our pancakes weren't cooked all the way 2 days. But it was one guy trying to do it all. I would rather wait a little longer though and have cooked food. All in all, it was a great stay and will definitely keep them in mind the next time we are in Marathon.

The seclusion was amazing! Felt very safe there. The view, especially from our large 2nd floor balcony... I can't even express how beautiful the sunrises were and to watch the various boats go by. Our own little home with separate rooms was perfect. The rooms were clean & neat. Beds in bedrooms were comfortable. Made to order breakfast was small but was tasty! Even with a few hiccups.. it was a great place to stay! We'd definitely stay again!

We had to walk by a bees nest every time we went up or down the stairs to or from our room, which was quite often. 2 of our kids are very fearful of bees. Not allergic.. but very fearful from past experiences. We were told Florida laws forbid the owners to do anything with them. The bees were damaging the property. I'd lose the bees before guests. Also, the hot tub needed more water. Couldn't sit in it without water splashing in your face & such. Couldn't relax. My son said the folding couch bed had a bar going across & he had to sleep on the cushions.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had room number 13 which has a fantastic view from the deck. The rooms looked very new and updated and were very clean. The kitchen was well supplied. Swimming pool with warm jacuzzi was nice and the breakfast was delicious each morning. Marathon is only a short drive away where you can find plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. We chose this location because it is half way the Keys.

The interior of the room was recently updated we could see, but the exterior could use a bit of paint and updating after the last hurricane, but that was probably work in progress.

Great location, great staff, good sleeping arrangements, nice kitchen in the room. Good service. Nice pool and hot tub.

Only minuses was the kitchen could have used a little bit more dishes, pans, and silverware, etc. The breakfast was poor as it tasted like it was cooked on an old grease stovetop or something. It had a grease taste in a lot of the food that was not suppose to taste like that.

The resort had a convenient location and an amazing view. They let us use the kayaks at no additional fee.

The booking was for four guests with two rooms in our suite but one of the beds was a twin, which was very inconvenient for two adults to try and sleep in, there was also only one small TV in the main space. There were no TVs in the bedrooms. Our breakfast the first day was very good and we had a very small wait time the second day we had been seated for over 35 minutes before we were even offered a beverage.
