It was clean comfortable great view to the river and pleasant stay in the balcony in the evening. The location of the property is exceptional within the riverwalk and close to the Alamo

when I checked in the receptionist told me that my order didn’t include a balcony and a view to the river. I Insisted and he continued claiming that they don’t have such room available and he emphasized that such problems usually happens because I ordered my room through Booking. I approached the supervisor and she offered me to call you and ask you to cancel my order through you and then they will accommodate me with the room that I want that suddenly was available. I followed her advice and indeed your customer service canceled my order and I finally received the room that I ordered.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was clean and I loved the decor. My room was very big and spacious. I will definitely be staying there when I'm in San Antonio again. I love San Antonio, I was born and grew up there.

The breakfast was mediocre at best and they were always out of coffee. They really need to keep both options of dark roast and light roast. Lately I've noticed they only have light roast if they have any at all. I love San Antonio but was very unhappy with the Atmosphere of the River Walk. I asked why it was the way it was. I guess COVID killed the river walk. I remembered it pre- COVID. That was a big disappointment.

Valet parking. the staff were friendly enough. Problem happened after check out when I called for my car. A valet parked my car outside of the valet parking area. Instead they parked my vehicle just in front of the hotel, but just outside of the valet parking area. This is totally unacceptable. to add insult to injury, They park my car on the street in the NO PARKING ZONE in front of the hotel. While parked in the do not park zone SOMEONE HIT MY CAR AND DROVE OFF, LEAVING GROSS DAMAGE TO THE LEFT CORNER OF MY BUMPER. The area is grossly dented, deeply scratch and scared with black of dark gray paint, and the left side of the bumper is pushed out of alignment with the body, and is hanging from the body.

Location was great for everything we wanted to goto and see and walk to. We were actually here for a Masters National Swim Meet and wanted to stay on the Riverwalk.

Didn't find anything that I really didn't like. Unusual to say about a hotel stay but you hit the spot for why we came to San Antonio. Fun and Relaxation. The only thing I didn't like and you could not do anything about it was our view. Room 830. Someday everything will be beautiful in San Antonio.

So clean and well kept! All staff greeting us each time they went by. Great breakfast every morning and chocolate chip cookies awaiting us in the lobby each evening upon our return. Conveniently located near everything-we didn’t have to drive one day once we got there but instead walked either on the river walk or above ground to all of our restaurants, coffee shops and our chosen tourist attractions like the Alamo, mall, etc.

We love this place! Every time that we vacation in San Antonio we always stay here. The staff is so friendly always greeting you and making you feel welcomed guys from valet parking are excellent and kitchen staff is also very friendly and helpful. Love the breakfast and that there is always coffee in the lobby. Rooms are always clean and very comfy beds to rest and relax after a long day of sight seeing. Can’t say enough about this place. Thank you Hampton staff for always making us feel at home and making our stay enjoyable.

The breakfast was great!! The staff were great!! On Easter Sunday morning, the hotel hid plastic eggs filled with candy and some with tickets for the kids to go pick prizes!! Very family friendly. When my 77 yr old mother stepped out of a shuttle at the front door, a valet noticed her shoe was untied. He not only assisted her out of the shuttle, but he also got on bended knee and tied her shoe!!! By no fault of the hotel, the general area of San Antonio has its share of vagrancy. The hotel had plenty safety and security measures in place. Our rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The decor throughout the hotel is beautiful.

That it doesn’t have any parking . And the only parking the hotel provided was a 50$ dollar a night parking. That’s a 30% increase on the price of the room , so I felt tricked , I thought I was getting decent value for my price and when I got there I realized I was ripped off . I even had a talk with guests in the dining room and they said the exact same thing. The hotel across the street had very similar prices including parking …. So most likely, next time the guest and me will just go to the hotel over the street and save 30% ….

The balcony over the river walk was nice in the morning to drink my tea and chill. The rooms were clean, the location was very good and convenient to the River Walk itself.

The bed felt like bricks with a pillow laid on top. I have terrible back, hip, and shoulder pain after my 2 nights there. I really hope they replace the beds for something that actually moves when you touch it and doesn't cause as much pain as it caused me. It was truly miserable.
