The location was great

I called before hand to see if i could check in at 12 instead of 3 and i was told that i could and that there would be no extra charge and when i got there i was told that0 no one spoke to me and that i had to pay a extra $30 dollars so i had no choice so my total went from $93 to $145, which i was not prepared to pay that amount. And that was very aggravating. And besides the fact that it said smoking rooms available (i booked thru booking) and there were none, not really that big of a deal tho. But the extra i had to pay definitely was a big deal. But other than that there were no issues. Staff was great!!!

Really close to downtown San Antonio, perfect for walking into the city. Parking is included, which is a huge plus since it’s not cheap in this area otherwise. Even on departure day, we could park until 3 PM, which was super convenient. Breakfast was okay—unlike some reviews, we had enough space. It might depend on timing since it gets busy when everyone goes at once. Tip: Go earlier, and it’s much quieter.

Not much to complain about, except that the lights from devices (like the microwave clock) brighten up the room at night, which isn’t ideal. But oh well, you can just cover them up.

Great location, walking distance from Market and rooms were clean, no bugs/roaches in sight! I did have an issue with the mini fridge in the room rattling too loudly to be able to sleep comfortably. I notified the front desk and they were able to get maintenance to switch out the fridge for me and I had no issues after that! I appreciate the friendliness of all the staff I spoke with. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it.

The restroom area in the room was a little small for my liking, and I wish there were outlets available near the bed to charge my phone.

Location is right across the street from the event we went to -- we couldn't have asked for a more convenient place to spend the night! Thank you. My husband said he liked the pillows on the bed! He was also happy to see a good assortment of "amenities" such as iron, ironing board, hair dryer, luggage holder, refrigerator and microwave.

The hot water volume to our bathtub/shower was very low. The water itself was hot enough but in order to get the water hot enough, the handle had to be turned to the maximum point, which reduced the water volume down to a trickle. Could you please have a plumbing professional look and see if the issue can be fixed for future guests? (Room 111.) Thanks.

It is an older hotel but the staff keeps it very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and very nice. Staff was very knowledgeable about the area and gave my mother lots of places to go and see. She loved the tour guide she was able to hire that the hotel suggested. The hotel is across from the market and restaurants which was a plus since we got there late and needed some food. I would definitely come here again!

I liked the location. It was close to everything. I liked that the inside of the room was well kept and the complementary shampoo and soap provided was dove. I paid the same amount previous week at another hotel that was horrible. This experience was waaaaay better. Front desk staff at check out were awesome!

Outside was very trashy. Beer bottles and trash was everywhere and I know it was due to Fiesta. Would have been a good idea to have a employee specifically picking up trash to maintain a better appearance outside to match the great appearance inside the room.

The location was excellent and parking was included (and plenty). We had easy walking access to the city, so we didn't have to worry about parking. We could easily visit the River Walk, go for dinner, etc.

The breakfast was well served and had everything you would expect. The staff was very attentive and ensure you never run out of anything. However, there were never enough tables. If you arrive early, this is not a problem, but in the peak hour, you'll have to take your breakfast back to the room. Not a big problem! All things considered.

Perfect location for us. Excellent service by Front Registration and entire Staff. Very clean in rooms, breakfast buffet area, and pool area. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay.

One hiccup: I was feeling bad one morning and after breakfast buffet we put out the Do Not Disturb sign. Unfortunately that was during the midmorning Housekeeping schedule and that department did not clean our room that day. The Do Not Disturb sign was no longer out by 4pm. I wish the Housekeeping Department had a protocol to provide follow-up cleaning service before they stopped service for that day. Next time I will stop by Front Desk & request room be cleaned on same day after Do Not Disturb sign taken off in afternoon.

After my stay at the Austin La Quinta I was ready to wash my hands of ever staying at a La Quinta again. One night at the San Antonio changed my mind it was that much better. Clean room, well maintained interiors, clean pool, towels for use at the pool, hot water the list could go on forever. Also, huge props to the staff they were excellent and helped with everything.

After racking my brain to try and come up with anything I guess the only little thing (this really doesn’t matter) was the toilet paper holder being behind me.
