The hotel's location is excellent in relation to most of the downtown area. That more than made up for the fact that the room was typical of an '80s built facility which gave less space than more recently built hotels. The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfasts, advertised as continental style, was good even if there was not the room in the facility to have a large selection of items.

The downside of a smaller room space is that the bathroom was quite small. The biggest issue is that the toilet was very low, which is problematic for someone in my situation of having had hip and knee replacements wish for an ADA accessible room, even though I do not think of myself as disabled.

Really close to downtown San Antonio, perfect for walking into the city. Parking is included, which is a huge plus since it’s not cheap in this area otherwise. Even on departure day, we could park until 3 PM, which was super convenient. Breakfast was okay—unlike some reviews, we had enough space. It might depend on timing since it gets busy when everyone goes at once. Tip: Go earlier, and it’s much quieter.

Not much to complain about, except that the lights from devices (like the microwave clock) brighten up the room at night, which isn’t ideal. But oh well, you can just cover them up.

The location was great

I called before hand to see if i could check in at 12 instead of 3 and i was told that i could and that there would be no extra charge and when i got there i was told that0 no one spoke to me and that i had to pay a extra $30 dollars so i had no choice so my total went from $93 to $145, which i was not prepared to pay that amount. And that was very aggravating. And besides the fact that it said smoking rooms available (i booked thru booking) and there were none, not really that big of a deal tho. But the extra i had to pay definitely was a big deal. But other than that there were no issues. Staff was great!!!

The room was exceptionally clean. A/C ran like a dream. The free parking was a plus. The Market Square is literally across the street. A 20 to 30 minute walk will get you to plenty of sites worth visiting. The pool was clean. Pool towels were provided. Free breakfast. If taking breakfast to your room is a better fix for you, the staff provided carry out containers. Staff was consistently making sure breakfast ran smoothly. Replenishing and tidying up often. We enjoyed our 3 day stay. We will come back.

Great location, walking distance from Market and rooms were clean, no bugs/roaches in sight! I did have an issue with the mini fridge in the room rattling too loudly to be able to sleep comfortably. I notified the front desk and they were able to get maintenance to switch out the fridge for me and I had no issues after that! I appreciate the friendliness of all the staff I spoke with. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it.

The restroom area in the room was a little small for my liking, and I wish there were outlets available near the bed to charge my phone.

The location was great!! The people at the front desk were really helpful and kind. Also a plus is that most of them speak Spanish. The breakfast is good! I would choose this place again.

The bedsheets were a little bit itchy, but maybe it is because I have sensitive skin! The room looked a little bit old (some lamps were not working). It would require renovations soon. Overall this hotel worked perfectly for my plans as it was a good reasonable price with an excellent location and I only used the room for staying the night!

Location is right across the street from the event we went to -- we couldn't have asked for a more convenient place to spend the night! Thank you. My husband said he liked the pillows on the bed! He was also happy to see a good assortment of "amenities" such as iron, ironing board, hair dryer, luggage holder, refrigerator and microwave.

The hot water volume to our bathtub/shower was very low. The water itself was hot enough but in order to get the water hot enough, the handle had to be turned to the maximum point, which reduced the water volume down to a trickle. Could you please have a plumbing professional look and see if the issue can be fixed for future guests? (Room 111.) Thanks.

It is an older hotel but the staff keeps it very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and very nice. Staff was very knowledgeable about the area and gave my mother lots of places to go and see. She loved the tour guide she was able to hire that the hotel suggested. The hotel is across from the market and restaurants which was a plus since we got there late and needed some food. I would definitely come here again!

Everything about this particular hotel is excellent. From front of house excellent customer service and welcome, the hospitality staff, security, breakfast and facilities do not disappoint. The location to the Market Square and downtown to the River Walk makes for a historic visit you will never forget. This is our go to hotel when we visit San Antonio every year during our family reunion in the Hill country
