5 star quality...we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here at the Melia Vinpearl. We booked a room which allowed us access to the Executive Lounge level on Floor 32, I'd strongly recommend anyone booking to do likewise if it fits the budget. No better way to finish a busy day of sightseeing than with a nice glass or two of wine, a cocktail or a G&T, with a lovely selection of canapes / cheese & meats to see you through until dinner. Our corner room was on the 30th floor, with great views to both sides. The room itself was excellent, more than large enough, great bed, great shower & bathroom area, and a nice desk to allow any bits and pieces of work to be done comfortably. All furnishings and fixtures have a high quality feel, we were very pleased with our choice to stay here. We utilised room service each night for some late evening drinks and the service was excellent, and prices extremely fair for a 5 star establishment. Our 2 other main highlights were the quality breakfast offered on the 7th floor. The elevator poster advertisement said it's the best breakfast in Hue, and I can well believe it. One floor up is the leisure area, with a very nice pool, large and kept at a lovely temperature, and with some open views out to the city. The lounger beds & towels were top quality and we enjoyed spending time here on a few occasions, enjoying the poolside bar also. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. Great location too, very central, and a short 10 minute walk down to the riverfront. Staff throughout were excellent, super attentive, particularly at the Lounge on the 32nd floor.

No negatives whatsoever.

Hands down the best hotel in Vietnam we stayed so far. Usually not impressed by those big chains hotel but this one was perhaps a true 5 stars. Great bathroom with a strong water pressure, clean and spacious room, beautiful view, comfy beds. But overall the most important was the great efficient staff! Special Thank you to Noel as we had issues booking our flights tickets and she took the time to help us.

Flawless, absolutely flawless from the time we stepped in to the time we left. Loved everything about this stay, so much so I considered cancelling my next hotel reservation to switch to another Melia Vinpearl in the area. I only didn't do so because the location was better at my original choice. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a proper range. Staff were delightful - everyone we crossed paths with greeted us kindly. The pool was amazing. Room was lovely, calm, clean and bathroom was spotless. Aircon that actually felt like aircon, not like the other Vietnamese hotels where it was only slightly cooler. A special shout out to Dillen at the Zenith bar who was so kind to my nervous son who doesn't cope well with heights - Dillen tried to find a seat that would make him feel less uncomfortable and was clearly invested in making sure our experience there was a good one. I'd go back to Vietnam just to stay here again. This experience has put Melia Vinpearl hotels on the map for me, and they will be my choice of accommodation for any future stays.

Nothing. It was perfect!

The breakfast was insane - like, I cannot imagine having more options or stations. There was an enormous variety of Asian foods as well full Western options. There was an omelette station, pho station, juices, coffees... Simply amazing. We had a hiccup with our flight and Tin at the front desk was wonderful by calling the airline for us and getting it straightened out. The view from the room was super cool and the steak restaurant was world class. Definitely not a local feel if that is what you are going for but if you want to be pampered, this is the place.

There isn't a lot to do within walking distance - but I am not sure there are better options. The hotel is fairly centrally located.

Proximity to major attractions in Hue was really helpful. The staff were very friendly and the facilities within the hotel were amazing! Absolutely loved the water pressure in the shower. The sky bar / rooftop bar had some amazing views of Hue and the food and drinks were delicious.

Everything about the property was fine. One challenge we did encounter was drop off/pick up for taxi. It would benefit having a dedicated taxi rank /drop off zone to make this process smoother as we had to rush out of the vehicle when we arrived. We also experienced a slight hiccough with the door between rooms being left unlocked. Understandably this is for the benefit of guests who book two adjoining rooms at the same time, however, perhaps future single room guests would benefit from a clearer explanation of the purpose of this door.

Great modern hotel with every amenity. Well equipped gym (which is one of the reasons for booking) Rooms are good size, would highly recommend the Level upgrade as a great view from the 33rd floor and free canapés and drinks from 3pm-6.30pm. The only disappointment was the limited food options for evening dining, there only seems to be the spanish steak restaurant with a small-ish menu. (The steak was great though) We had room service food which seemed the only option for anything else for dinner - they could improve by having some other options for evening dining.. other than that we really enjoyed our stay!

Great hotel with many options

The checkout girl that went to to exchange currency was rude and she ripped (about a millimetre) of the brand new $100 bill that I gave for exchange and then accused me of giving ripped one which she said would not be acceptable!. I called for the manager, showed her the new notes I had and also pointed out that the girl purposely ripped the note I gave, it was a minor tear (1-2mm). The manager accepted the note and exchanged it. She then apologised to me on behalf of the girl. I hope some lessons have been learnt and the girl, whose name I did not get, has been educated to not rip notes !!

A fairly new property that is centrally located a short walk to all the night-life and loads of restaurants. Very clean, great room, bedding and bathroom, and attentive staff that were happy and prompt to render service on request. An excellent breakfast buffet covering all Asian and Western options. The Sky Bar (with a very good Happy Hour) and Alma restaurant had good drinks, quality food, unsurpassed views and a pleasant five star ambience. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to this lovely city.

The lifts were a bit slow at busy times, but this is understandable with a hotel that has so many levels. An irregular and minor inconvenience really.

We were given an upgraded room on the 12th floor and the room was fantastic. Absolutely huge with the biggest bed we've ever slept in. The swimming pool was excellent too. Breakfast was also excellent, with a huge selection of things, so something for everyone.

Location could be better as there's not much nearby to do but it served us well and for visiting the old Citadel, which was the main reason for our visit. Dining was a bit all or nothing. The main restaurant was quite upmarket and expensive and the alternative was bar meals in the SkyBar which was a bit limited. We feel something in the middle would appeal to a wider audience but everyone has their own opinions.

Liked that they truly care for customers, liked that they have an indoor heated pool, liked that they have a playroom for kids, liked their clubroom on L32, breakfast spread was really good... Liked that they have laundry service too.

Unexpectedly, someone knocked on our door at 7+, so I told them to come back later on, when we were up and ready to be out of the room for them to clean, I called them back at 750am and they told me housekeeping starts at 8am... I was like what??? Who was that at the door? Ok so small issue, then we were back but the room was not cleaned... One other thing was steak at the steakhouse was done poorly but we did not want to have to wait for them to make another so we did not notify at that time. We asked for a chef to recommend doneness, and outcome was a frozen steak that wasn't seared properly and the middle part was still rare.
