The location of the property was excellent, a really good size with magnificent views from all rooms. The beds were very comfortable as was the large leather couch in the lounge. Kitchen was well equipped. The pool area was well maintained and generally quiet with plenty of sunbeds. Although we didn't use it the BBQ area looked well equipped and very clean with comfortable seating for you and a few friends. WiFi was good, both in the apartment and around the pool. Karen the owner/manager was charming and nothing but helpful.

Nothing that really affected our stay but it is an older building and a few parts of our apartment were in need of a tidy up. Karen did explain that the updating is ongoing and it is obvious that this is the case.

The location and view were amazing. We were on the fifth floor The size of the apartment was perfect for our family of four. The apartment had plenty of cutlery and crockery and appliances to allow us to cook for family and guests. Beds were comfortable and linen was of good quality. Dene and Cara (on site managers) were friendly and happy to assist with any requests.

King bed (two singles) needs a king size mattress topper so you don't fall into the join. Two of the bedrooms only have shutters which do not block out the morning light. Woken up around 0600 each morning. Suggest blockout curtains the same as bedroom two. The dishwasher didn't work upon arrival (informed management)and didn't get repaired during our 10 day stay.

View was great with whales passing by! Pool was great and fun with the family. BBQ worked well. Closeness to the beach was especially nice.

These comments are not dislikes but rathe just observations. Car space was a bit squeezy and one had to be very careful especially with using a rental car - not a major issue. Closeness to the beach has caused some corrosion issues - 1 balcony door was not able to be opened.

Fantastic location!! Close to restaurants, shops, no need to use the car. View was unbelievable, able to capture the coastline from the spit, to Coolangatta, and the mountains in the hinterland, all from the comfort of the apartment. Bonus was seeing numerous whales. Standing in the kitchen, cooking etc, was enjoyable with the incredible view. Plenty of room with 3 spacious bedrooms, and bathrooms, plenty of cupboard space.

There were a few things, that understandably deteriorate, due to the salt air and living on the beach, some of the windows didn’t open, and the floor locks, on the 2 sliding doors leading not to the balcony were corroded, it would have been nice to be able to have locked them, as had a very adventurous granddaughter with us.

What a wonderful place to stay, a real hidden gem. The apartment was wonderful, very clean and the views were outstanding. It located a 15 minute walk from the main town but you can hire the bikes for a faster journey. The pool was quiet and the beach was right on our doorstep. Would highly recommend. We had one allocated parking space for our apartment. We did have a second car which we managed to park on the road outside the building or down the road, for free.

I recently stayed at this accommodation, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff (Karen) was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had all the information I needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. I’ll definitely be back!

The apartment was spacious and well equipped with super comfortable beds. The location was absolutely perfect (on the beach is right!) and our apartment had stunning views right along the Gold Coast. Karen was an absolute gem and couldn’t have made our stay any more wonderful! We would recommend Dorcester on the Beach to anyone visiting Surfer’s Paradise.

The location was excellent, unfortunately big SUVs don’t fit in the underground parking. But there were cheap parks a block away. Karen’s customer service was outstanding and definitely goes above and beyond to make you comfortable. The view was outstanding and felt like you were almost on the beach when in the living area…it was so beautiful!!

Can’t say there was anything I didn’t like enough to mention.

Right near the beach. Great view. Clean. Good beds. Hot showers. Good to have a bathroom for each room. Spacious. Security guards where very polite and helpful. Loved the open set-up.

The car park was very pokey and small. The driveway was difficult, as right on the corner. We had 2 cars, as 2 guests came from a different destination. Parking for 2nd car was hard to find nearby.

We were fortunate enough to stay at The Dorchester through cyclone Alfred. With front row seats to the beach and the inbound weather, the Staff and building stood up to the test. Great personal service, and the room was a great retreat for the 4 days of rain and wind. Thanks Karen, look forward to seeing you on our next GC holiday

The only thing the apparment needs is a Coffee pod machine.
