Lovely place to stay! The pool was a little on the small side, but the benefit is it opens early - and didn’t close until 10pm. They also provided floaties and toys so that’s a bonus. They’ve got a large banner/covering across the fencing of the pool area so it’s nice and private for a swim. I also enjoyed the check out system, where we could just leave the key in the room instead of going to the reception. Aircon works very well in the room too.

The bed is on wheels so it moves whenever you try to sit in the bed and lean on the wall- which is fine however was a little annoying- but understand it would be easier for the cleaners to make the bed. The milks in the fridge were also expired- so double check before putting it into your coffee. There’s no microwave (which we knew) but good to know if you bring home takeaway.

The staff was very helpful even though I was not able to meet them in person. Had called managers number before start time due to early checkout but was assisted and helped appropriately and professionally.

I didn't like that I did not stay longer but will stay longer next time if I'm in town.

No breakfast on site but walking distance to major eateries/shops and especially to the beach. Restaurant food was delicious and the staff in there, fantastic. From my daughter who was in the family room: " "Hello mother dear 😬 Okay mum top marks everywhere for this place. Staff were lovely and attentive. We did visit the closest beach and loved the fact that it was just a short walk away. The property was homelike… if that’s a thing 😂 Beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean and I loved the shower, great water pressure. The only downside was the wifi not reaching the rooms but it is also good thing as we were able to spend quality time together without internet. The property was better than the photos that I saw. The question ‘what did I like’ - I liked the food from the restaurant and all the staff in the restaurant and reception and housekeeping were all lovely ☺️ We traveled by van/bus that was hired. And obviously travelled with family 😬 Here’s some photos

It's a good old fashioned hotel motel. And great central location to access all areas of the coast. Simple for those who don't want to stay in and actually get out and explore. And a good pool for a quick dip is so handy. Definitely be back as good value for money. 🙂

A slight privacy issue through certain windows. The bathroom could use a wall exhaust fan, instead of a open window locked open with a screw. Nearly units can look in easily and a side window also the blind doesn't close and open view to neighbours.

The pub itself is very charming and has a great atmosphere. Pool and a spa, although far to cold to enjoy it in winter. Location is a couple steps to the beach, the train or Northcliffe surf club. The room was clean, very basic, and the bed was comfortable. The bed did move across the floor a lot , which was a bit of an issue Undercover parking and they lock the gates over night, which i found good All in all , a good spot.

Hot shower was a bit of an issue. No water pressure at all in room 12. The little fridge was not stable and when you would open the door , it would come out the cupboard.

Wonderful little place in a great location, having the Irish bar there was just amazing, the woman on the front desk (I didn’t catch her name) is the highlight of our stay, from the moment we arrived she was up chatting to us, you can really tell she cares about how everyone is enjoying their stay! We would come back just for her 😊 great value for money, tasty food, best Guinness in Australia according to my partner! 10/10 stay

We just wish we could have stayed longer!! Will be back

I stayed at Darcy Arms Hotel Motel to visit Sea World for Spooky Night. The location was perfect with a tram and a bus station nearby. We had no trouble to walk from the bus stop to the motel in night. Staffs were lovely and very helpful.

There was only one window in a room which was located near walking path for other patrons to go to their rooms and only one light for the room, so it was hard for me to do what I wanted to do after my daughter slept. I wishes there was a floor lump. Also a window over toilet was unable to close.

It was great value for money, and the location was superb, a short walk to the beach

The food was amazing! bedroom was very comfortable and great to have clean towels everyday and bathroom/shower was a great size. Staff were lovely very accommodating, Would definitely stay again

The laundry wasn’t easy to access’s had to find a worker each time and there’s only 1 washer and 1 dryer, someone took our washing out before it had finished in the dryer so we had to pack damn cloths which was very frustrating

Stayed here with my mum, we both really loved it. It's quite the hidden gem, brilliant spot. Only a block away from the beach, and public transport is a 5 minute walk away (including lights). Room was really clean. During our stay there was a wedding party, if you were outside the room, sure it's loud, but the rooms are incredibly sound proof. Can't wait for the opportunity to come down and stay here again!
