Apartment was lovely. Clean and comfortable. Looked out over the beach and just a two minute walk away. Staff were so, so friendly and helpful during our stay. Couldn’t recommend enough

Excellent direct view to ocean, although Apartment 5C doesn’t get enough sunlight for most of the day at this time of year.

Apartment 5C is due for a refresh as we were able to get a look in 5B which has been updated and the difference is stark….Go 5B if you can get it.

Great unit, particularly for the price. I stayed here while in town for work, and then my wife and baby joined me. The apartment had a great view of the beach and was metres from the oceanfront boardwalk and beach, and only a little bit further to a patroled beach for swimming. It was a further to the business heart of Surfers, but close enough that we walked there several times (and it's a nice stroll along the oceanfront). There's also a really nice surf club just a couple hundred metres away that was convenient and nice for meals and a drink. Tania was lovely and very helpful and the arrangement for an after-hours check-in was very convenient. Thanks for a great stay!

Our family recently stayed at Emerald Sands Hotel on the Gold Coast, and it was nothing short of amazing! We stayed in 2A-Deluxe Apartment. The apartment itself was immaculately clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a holiday. The kitchen was well-appointed, allowing us to prepare meals with ease, and the views of the ocean were simply breathtaking—you could even hear the waves from the apartment! The bathroom was modern and the shower had great water pressure. Again, it was well equipped and had the basics to get us started on our holiday. The location was ideal: close enough to everything, yet just far enough from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a peaceful retreat. It was a leisurely 10-minute walk to Cavill Avenue, while being only two minutes away from great dining options and you could just walk down to the ocean. The air conditioning kept us cool and comfortable, and the pool and heated spa were a lovely treat after a day out. The secure, free parking was an added bonus, giving us peace of mind during our stay. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, providing excellent communication—especially as we were checking in quite late. They made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Emerald Sands Hotel truly exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect base for a memorable family holiday. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay on the Gold Coast. We would 100% book there again.

We had a fantastic short holiday at Emerald Sands! Loved how it’s just a short walking distance to the Surfer’s Paradise and the tram/buses. And the beach is just on the opposite side. We loved the pool and bbq area, it was very clean and heated. The apartment was great too! They had everything we needed, complete kitchen/cooking facilities, air conditioning, free wifi, tv with netflix, comfy bed with balcony ocean view. Thank you so much Tania and Darren! We had a great stay, will definitely stay here again!!

Location and service

I thought this property was a great place for 2 people. I got the deluxe apartment and it was great for a weeks stay. It was perfect distance between the hotel and beach, shops, trams and Ubers. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming - including letting us know the hotspots to go to.

Literally the only thing I can fault if I’m being picky - was the lack of providing of simple things (toilet paper and bin liners) and were only provided 1x of each item - we were only there for a week and didn’t need to spend MORE money on literally 1 extra bin liner and toilet roll. I also did find some dirty spoons in the cutlery draw (I happily washed it up - it was not a real problem). There was also no vacuum which made it harder when we check out as I felt like I left dirt on the floors which I didn’t know how to clean up. That’s if I’m being REALLY picky (we loved the place)
