We lived the location and what the resort offered for facilities however the property was being renovated at the time and used a different laundry off the property to wash our clothes as the laundry in the property didn't appear to be usable. In sys that the staff were awesome and the beds were so comfortable.

Whe. I booked there was no mention of the property being renovated and after we checked in we discovered the majority of it was under renovation. As it was the weekend it didn't really impact us but a heads up would have been good.

we were upgraded to a superior king room which looked to be recently renovated and was really nice.

The restaurant was advertised as open until 9:30pm however in return to the resort at 8:45pm from a sports carnival, the restaurant was closed. had we known it wouldn’t be open we could have got transport elsewhere. The pools are quite small and the pools look like they could do with a good clean Staff were a bit non plussed there was no real welcome, and it seemed more like we were a hassle when checking in, stopping them browsing the internet

The gardens were amazing, the pool was amazing, the restaurant was amazing. Position position position, It's quiet a long aged establishment that gave it an authentic dated feel with character rather than modern flawless perfection I really enjoyed Seagulls. Huge room, fantastic shower.

Major renovation was being carried out, and workmen woke us some mornings but the cost was so drastically low super bargain to balance this inconvenience I would not complain.

The location was perfect, not too noisy but close to everything we needed. The pool and gardens were very relaxing & well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a great place to stay but it didn't quite provide everything for 3 adult guests in our room. They are renovating so hopefully they will accomodate for these issues.

Room was advertised for 3 adults. While the bedding was comfortable and clean, it really only catered for 2... only 2 chairs, 1 extra blanket, 2 soaps & shampoo, 2 mugs, 2 glasses and 1 set of cutlery. There was a fridge, kettle, microwave & toaster but no plates or bowls.

The surroundings in the hotel felt like I was in a calming forest with waterfall flowing into a stream. It was peaceful. I enjoyed my stay it was relaxing and heavenly. Front staff was excellent that day and helped out with a few problems I needed to fix. Everything was good even though the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday, their are walking distance places where you can get essential for the day. All in all, I had a good rest.

The heat. On late arrival, the hotel should provide complimentary refreshment in the room, e.g, water, juice, and cans of fizzy n maybe a snack or fruit basket with cheese and crackers upon arrival just a small one. I had a very late flight, and having to arrive in Townsville at 11ish isn't an ideal for restaurants, takeaway places to open at the late hour except for McDonalds. Something for hotels to look at.

Standard of room fittings was very good. Cleaning staff were excellent.

Only a toaster and microwave, expected full cooking facilities. Wifi didn't work, even after I went to management, very disappointing as I had to use my own data at my expense. Not good enough in these days where everything is streamed. Pool was quite dirty, a lot of refuse on the bottom. BBQ was very dirty and unusable, doubly disappointing because the room didn't have a cooktop.

it was lovely, peaceful and a rather enjoyable stay. we didn’t really try out the extra facilities but we took a walk around and everything looked very well maintained and very nice, would love to stay again.

the reception didn’t seem to be on the same page as the booking system on the price we were given when booking. tried to charge us $175 and went on to say all theses rooms are this price, and have a bit of a rant about it. He did eventually charge us the booking price we were given when booking through the app ($157.50) at the time of booking but wasn’t exactly impressed by it, seems like maybe it happens often with the reaction but I could be wrong, either way maybe need to stop accepting bookings from this app if they don’t agree with the prices 🤷🏻‍♀️ but other that everything was great

The gardens are beautiful, the pools are lovely, pretty, comfortable night swimming temperature, the statues and fountains are beautiful, wonderful bird life all around, a very peaceful outdoor landscape. The room was lovely, good size, the bed is so so comfy, spa bath was wonderful and so was the shower size and pressure wise.

I would have preferred a kitchen sink and larger fridge, or perhaps more freezer space.

We got one of the refurbished rooms. I'd read some ratings about beds being uncomfortable, but in the refurbished rooms they were fantastic. The two pools were great. Location was only a 10 minute walk from the Strand. And excellent value for money.

Not the resorts fault but some other guests are inconsiderate. Someone took a dump under one of the pool chairs.

The location was central to my needs,the staff were great always kept everything clean.thw water pressure was exceptional. The two pools were certainly well used by myself.they kept the aircon going which to an out of towner was a godsend to come back too

They were doing upgrades at the time but we were warned of these and it didn't really effect my stay
