Check in staff were absolutely amazing. Malcolm was absolutely beautiful and meet us with a smile and was so accommodating. Best service I’ve had. Breakfast staff were Terrible. Didn’t speak, rude, didn’t explain anything, rolled eyes, just plain rude. Thanks to Malcolm and front of hotel staff on Checkin for their excellent service. However your restaurant staff need to work on their manners and hospitality. Food was nice but could be better. Thanks Malcolm for your wonderful service.

Restaurant staff at breakfast

There were a number of problems with the room. The sink in the bathroom was very slow to drain. It took two maintenance visits to get it properly fixed. The clothes, washer in the kitchen, continually spat out an error halfway through the drying process. Despite reporting this, it never got fixed properly, so I ended up with wet clothes twice! There was a drawer in the desk that was sticking out about 3 inches and wouldn’t close properly and the lock on the balcony door from the living room didn’t lock properly. I got so sick of making complaints that a couple of these things I either didn’t report until I left, or just didn’t bother reporting at all. Basically, it was a lot of little things and it was disappointing having to deal with them.

Spacious and exceptionally clean suites. Lovely view. Comphy bed. Nespresso coffee machine, very quiet. Beautiful continent breakfast with good coffee.

As we are in late 60s I rang ahead and asked, if possible to get early check in, was told they would do their best. I even offered to pay. After leaving our bags, girl at reception promised to ring or email as soon as our suite was ready. Again, offered to pay extra. My husband and I walked around in 30 degree heat for 5 hours, waiting, no phone call came. Finally I rang an hour before the 2pm check in in and they said room was ready. I can understand why this happens, but to have an option to pay extra, would be great.

The facilities were great, buffet breakfast was good and the coffee was delicious. Lovely pool and we liked that it was open until 10pm, allowing us a late night dip after being at an event at Rod Laver for 3 hours and not returning to the hotel until 9pm, an hours swim in the magnesium pool to wind down was very much needed.

There’s no baby change rooms/change tables, must change your children in your hotel room which doesn’t come in very handy when in the middle of breakfast. Our patio/balcony door did not shut fully which meant we were unable to lock it (not a major issue unless you have a toddler/young child like us and they’re trying to escape.)

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Quay West Melbourne. We particularly loved the staff, who were so lovely and welcoming and were able to help us with any little request we had. It is in a great location and we were able to walk to everywhere we needed to go. Our room was spacious and so clean. Also good to note the shower pressure was great, beds were comfy and guest amenities were good quality. The pool and spa was also great. We will be back!

The only thing that we could have improved was to book the river view room

Staff were extremely lovely, great location, fantastic service, room was great and in particular very comfortable beds. The pool was being repaired at the time but we were given access to the pool and spa at the hotel just across from them which was excellent. Lovely big balcony. So many eateries and everything you need in the near vicinity. Breakfast buffet in the morning was amazing. Great coffee!

Would have loved to have had a bath in the bathroom. There was no Screen door on balcony. Had issues with the smart tv but am sure if I raised this with staff it would have been fixed! Room service until 8.45pm seems a little early. Lack of hotel information, QR code only gave access to the room service menu and no hotel information.

Location is brilliant. Everything you need in walking distance. Short walk over the bridge from Southgate to Flinders St where you can access trains and trams etc to take you around the city. Would like to mention the brilliant Reception staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Also a special mention to the night manager who looked after us so well on our very late arrival from the UK. I think his name was Remin ( apologies if this is I correct)

Location excellent, just minutes walk from Flinders Street railway station. Lovely spacious apartment with gorgeous nighttime views of lit up city. Full kitchen if you want to cook yourself, but with so many restaurants to choose from one Southbank and across bridge looking over Yarra, you don't need too. And my rate included breakfast.. anything you could want and staff there very friendly. Best hot shower and bathroom size. Front staff were friendly and helpful too.

Couldn't be faulted.

The location could not be better, located on the Yarra river in Southgate and being a very pleasant walk across the Princess bridge to the CBD. The rooms were very good and appear to have been recently refurbished, with the added benefit of a balcony and open windows for fresh air. We had a separate lounge area along with a kitchen area off the lounge. You did not feel cramped in and had lots of space to move around. The staff were very receptive in all parts of the hotel.

The buffet breakfast could have had more choice. The bar and beer garden needs an upgrade. Though it is clean and tidy, it is out of date (early 2000's). It would add to the hotel's overall ambiance.

All but one staff were super friendly. Pool is glorious and the hotel is close to everything. They kindly surprised me with an upgrade for which I am very grateful.

Most of the staff were lovely one bloke was incredibly rude and hung up on me when I inquired about room service. I rang at 10pm. Apparently it ceased at 8.30pm. I wanted to ask if there were local options but he was very rude and hung up before I could ask. It's a lovely hotel but feels very sterile.
