Modern and funky hotel in a great location. The bed was amazing and the staff were helpful and always friendly. One unusual aspect was the hotel doesn’t provide hand towels. It may seem minor but it should be changed. Drying one’s hands on a washer is just strange! It was great to have a washing machine and the kitchen facilities as we were there 4 nights. We only used the kitchen for breakfast though as we were out for lunch and dinner every day. Great location. Easy trip on the tram to the city or elsewhere and we parked the car in the hotel carpark (extra cost). Rooftop pool is wonderful.

Located in buzzy Collingwood, close enough to the CBD, but not in amongst it, with a wonderful community vibe. Multiple transport options are on your doorstep, making it easy to get into town. Alternatively, it’s an enjoyable walk via Fitzroy or Carlton Gardens if you prefer to explore on foot. Yes, the standard suite is compact, but it’s thoughtfully designed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and always happy to help where they could. The pool was a great bonus—perfect for a refreshing dip. Despite a party outside one night, the glazing did an excellent job keeping things quiet inside. There are only two elevators that could be a problem, but I never had to wait longer than its return from the floor it was on. One of Collingwood’s best cafes is right next door (get in early if you want a table!), and you’re spoiled for choice with fantastic dining options on nearby Smith Street. Being in a lively suburb with a strong sense of community made the experience even better—great food, great atmosphere, and a real local feel. Highly recommend it—I'll stay again!

Nothing. But to note - the hotel is relatively new, so everything feels fresh and modern, but the rooms may show wear over time. While the essentials are provided, the cooking utensils aren’t the highest quality, so keep that in mind if you plan to self-cater.

Veriu is in an excellent location, in the heart of Collingwood - with trams bringing you to the city in 10 minutes. The room was compact but well equipped and I used the dryer/washing machine which worked well. The gym is small but big enough for a workout. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I used one of the hotel bikes to get around - it's free of charge.

I couldn't connect with the wifi in my room on my phone, but it worked on my computer (and in the lobby on my phone). Not a major issue but I couldn't resolve it.

We loved the friendly staff, amazing amenities and rooftop pool and hot tub. Room was very clean and well laid out with a very comfortable bed. The bathtub was heavenly and a perfect way to unwind after a day of city exploring. Location cannot be beaten in Melbourne in our opinion, located right in the heart of Collingwood with amazing cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Links to the city with public transport make the location very accessible for tourist attractions and trips to the wider suburbs or downtown. Rooms are very fairly priced and we recommend the room with bathtub. We absolutely loved our stay at Veriu and will definitely stay here again.

Veriu hotel is very clean, modern and smells good. Yes, the whole place smells very good, I don't know how but there's this beautiful scent in the entire building including the lift. The room is actually a decent size, I was worried that it may be too small based on previous reviews but I was glad to find out it's perfect for me as a single besides if you are not in the room most of the time, it's not so bad. I liked the jacuzzi after a long day out, nice way to relax before bed but it shuts at 10pm. Great location too of the building, in the heart of Collingwood with lots of restaurants, vegan restaurants, cafés, bars, unique boutiques and supermarkets. You can never run out of option. Tram 86 is only 3 mins walk away and it takes you directly to Carlton gardens and the city in like 15 mins. Staff were friendly and room service was great. Overall I highly recommend Veriu apartment hotel.

Location of property was great! The well appointed rooms had all the amenities required. Kitchen was well stocked. Bathrooms are modern and well maintained. Washing machine with a dryer option was a great choice for our stay.

We had a two bedroom apartment which was small with no sit out or balcony area. We had to close the main door to access the fridge and laundry facilities. Parking could have been included in the room for the prices charged.

Amazing place to stay and everything was to a very high standard. You guys didn't cut any corners and covered all my needs. I especially like how well equipped the room was with coffee and washing machine liquid.

I didn't like the lack of ability to visit my friends on other floors. Even with emergency stairs, we couldn't access the other floors without them meeting us on the ground floor. For convenience and safety I felt that change would have been the only thing that I would change.

We were delighted with our stay at Veriu. The location, the design, the room size, the rooftop (amazing views, fire pits at the centre of round couches, pool, and spa made this our fave hang out spot in the evenings) and the staff made the whole experience an absolute delight.

Lots of leaves, branches and debris collected in our outdoor courtyard area, it wasn't often cleaned up so we spent more time on the rooftop, but it's a small quibble.

Location was excellent, ease of parking, staff were helpful and courteous and the reception area was cool and welcoming. The room was compact but had everything I needed for an overnight stay including a large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine with pods and the bathroom which was highly functional, without wasting money on incidentals I didn't need. Washing machine would be useful for longer stays but without a seperate space to work/sit, I'd opt for a larger room for 3+day stays.

Some criticisms 1) Noise from the fridge actually woke me up repeatedly (cheaper brand and fridge proximity) 2) Heating/cooling which was so noisy I couldn't use it and think at the same time. The room was a reasonable temperature anyway but in summer......... 3) Noise from the room above, as no carpets/noise absorbing flooring. 4) No USB charging ports on the sockets, which I'd expect from a modern, newly built/renovated hotel.

I lived the hotel layout. Suite was compact but cleverly designed & it included everything I needed & more (washing machine/dryer). Roof top pool area was lovely & gym very adequate.

I had to wait twice at reception for over 20 minutes to get a pool towel whilst receptionist was on a call (with clients). I tried to swim at 10am but there was a cleaning hose in the pool which wasn’t moved until after 3pm at which point I had missed the sun
