4th floor room facing the street was very acceptable, with large comfy bed and more than adequate shower and bathroom. Had a small window that opened for ventilation (most hotel rooms do not) so did not have to rely on air conditioning. That said when used the conditioner was easy to operate, switched itself on and off at the correct temperature (and did not run continuously like some) and was relatively quiet i.e. was able to sleep through it. Our room cleaner was excellent and the staff on reception were very helpful. The Park Pub was very good for breakfasts and evening meals.

Bed very comfortable. Staff very helpful. We were upgraded to a King room due to availability and it was a very good size.

There was no electric jug for making tea - had to use the microwave. There was no milk in the fridge for the tea - in New Zealand milk is always provided. The room was a bit hot at night.

The location was amazing. We could walk everywhere. The area is safe. The ocean is just a short walk to the end of the block

The hallways smell like cigarette smoke. Having said that, the rooms did not. The lobby is not inviting at all and the entrance is confusing. We found the front end staff to not really know what they were doing. The told us we did not have a reservation, when in fact we booked & paid months ago. They found it eventually. They told us one day 1 that our breakfast was included. The second day, they said it was not and we needed to pay. They were short with us, almost like we were interrupting their personal conversations.

Early check in was greatly appreciated, room was a very good size and room was clean - front desk people was welcoming, neighborhood was good near places to visit and seems safe area - bed was comfy - nice window views , very close to the ocean - you can hear seals in the morning And lastly toiletries was very much appreciated and smells pretty-

Elevator was scary 😟 needs to give at least 2 bottles of water for coffee in the morning Carpet in hallways seems clean but looks dirty because of the color and design Front entrance appeared old not very inviting needs repaint and all more arts or plants and seating… some repainting on the front of the hotel so it will look fresh and new and clean Little expensive hotel for a best western

The location is excellent, right by the beach and the park, with lots of good restaurants nearby.

The bed was really comfortable in terms of the mattress / topper, but what was not comfortable was the way the bed was made, tightly and rigidly fixed in such a way that meant anyone taller than 5ft 4in could not fit in it, and would need to either remake the bed themselves or sleep diagonally, which is what we did, but it still felt like being strangled by the covers and still got cold. The bed needs to be made so the quilt and the cover can reach nearer the top of the bed, or preferably why not just provide quilts with covers and don't bother with fixing the sheets and quilt to the bed.

The location was good near English Bay and there was plenty of parking (at an additional cost). Lots of places to eat nearby. The room we were moved to was clean and comfortable, the hotel itself is quite tired. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly.

Our main issue was the small furry creature that ran across our original room as we entered!! I’m glad we saw it straight away so that we could be moved to the top floor and a new room, which luckily looked like it had been more recently renovated. It was expensive for what it was, but I think that is Vancouver prices.

Great location. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. No Frills and Safeway supermarkets were a few blocks away. The beach was a block away. Bus stop right outside the hotel. Nice room (#211). Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, fridge and microwave in case you wanted store and warm up your food. More than sufficient for a solo traveller.

I didn't like the raised sink in the bathroom. It caused water to splash out onto the countertop. The hallways were a little messy, but the room itself was fine. The price was a bit high, though Vancouver is expensive.

Super location in a trendy, lively part of Vancouver. I actually could see the harbor and bay from my room window. Numerous interesting restaurants and shops within a block or two. Short walk to the Hudson Bay shoreline park. Since the price was lower than most places, I was expecting a fairly rundown hotel, but was pleasantly surprised by the excellent condition and cleanliness. The staff was friendly and helpful. For example, my friend rode her bike over to see me, and they said it was fine for her to store it in my room while we walked around town.

The room was very small for having two king-size beds. Not much room to move around in. The bed was too soft for my taste (I had requested a hard bed). The room was pretty noisy as it faced the street and had old 1960's single pane windows.

We had a great experience here! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating—they even held onto my bag for a few hours after I checked out, which made it so much easier to get to my appointments without lugging it around. The place itself was clean and nicely updated, which I really appreciated. I also grabbed a free breakfast at the pub and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. I had booked a city view room (mainly because it was more affordable), but I ended up being able to view the English Bay as well!

The washroom is kinda tight and the shower the shower head just had one setting/wasn't working properly so kinda spraying hard.

We arrived at 1am due to flight delays. Staff were helpful and took our cases for us. Quick check in. The location was excellent. Local shops and restaurants. A two minutes walk to the beach and then into Stanley Park. The room was comfy and spacious. Cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Staff very helpful or any queries about locations to visit.

The ac unit was very noisy so couldn't have it on during the night. Kept it on during the day so was cool enough to sleep.
