Vintage style hotel with a beautiful atmosphere. Many hotels with this style feel somewhat old and are run-down. Not the Savoy as everything was in perfect condition. Everything is cozy and feels somewhat luxurious (considering the affordable price). Room was extra quiet (and dark - Junior Suite with separate bedroom) and had a very relaxing sleep. Spacious bathroom as well.

Parking has a hefty price tag. Extra charge for additional services is also fair as the base price is good but the total price then if you book also the sauna, etc. is very high. Massages too seemed a bit too pricey for me. The bar on the other hand is priced appropriately (I am Swabian/German, hence talking about costs so much...).

The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were a really good size with heated floors and separate bath and shower room. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. The whole hotel was very hot, although you could control your room temperature. The beds were comfortable, although the duvet was small for the bed and the pillows are very soft. There is a little kitchenette in the room including a nespresso coffee machine, but you only get 1 pod per person on arrival and then you buy them at €1 each. Rooms well equipped with everything you need, although ours could have done with another light, there is also a mini bar which is reasonable. The hotel is at the top of the hill near the monastery, but there are regularly trams from the door to the town. Breakfast was lovely and varied each day.

Pillows were very soft Hotel generally too hot Room needed another light

Location, close to Prague castle, by walk 10 minutes; tram stop next to the hotel; nice breakfast, bar and library.

Small selection and limited number of tea bags at room, missing shoehorn.

The hotel is immaculately clean and very quiet. Breakfast is superb with lots of choices. We were initially a bit dubious about the location as it's a 35 minute walk up a steep hill from the Old Town, however the walk down is great with lots of quaint shops and cafes and brings you past Prague Castle. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel which can bring you to and from the Old Town in 10-15 minutes so we walked down to the Old Town in the day and took the tram back to the hotel in the evenings saving our tired legs. Tram tickets are sold at the reception for €2.50 per 24 hours. A fast, cheap and effective way of getting around Prague and the trams go every few minutes. As the hotel is situated on a hill, the view is absolutely amazing and is also situated beside Strahov Monastery and 15 minutes walk from Petrin view point. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were mostly pleasant and spoke excellent English but they were not exactly forthcoming with information, we also had to ask for more teabags as there was only one and for more toilet roll another day which took a while to arrive so ended up going to front desk ourselves. A lady from housekeeping walked into our room at 8.30am one morning waking us up, she left just as quickly when she realised her error! These were only minor complaints and would certainly not put us off staying here again.

The hotel was very nice and the room (superior double room, 39 m2) excellent, a lot of space and two big opening windows to the Keplerova street. Bathroom was very nice with both bathtub and shower and room was well equipped (big closet's, water boiler, big separate sink, microwawe, minibar/fridge etc...) Breakfast was excellent and breakfast room nice with opening roof. Library room/lobby bar area was nice. All staff and service was top quality. But most of all, location was excellent, hotel and nearby area very quiet and tram stops directly in the front of the hotel. Excellent for a romantic holiday! All in all, very close to 5 stars experience with good "bang for the buck".

I got a notification from the hotel two days before departure that hotel AC is not functioning. But even this did not spoil our stay, luckily the evenings/nights were cool. We had two big opening windows and thanks to the spacious room, we could keep the other one open with curtains on top. And the way the hotel reimbursed this left no room to complain. One more thing, the tv could have been bigger but we hardly opened it!

Hotel Savoy turned out to be a gem! It is located within a stone's throw of Prague castle and in a beautiful locality full of shops and restaurants. The room was beautiful and spacious with a space where there was a basin with tap, water heater, coffee maker and crockery. The price of items in the mini bar is the same as their price in the market. The breakfast was adequate and varied and the staff was wonderful and friendly! While the Hotel serves only breakfast and has a bar for other times, this is not a problem as there are numerous reasonably priced eateries including vegan/vegetarian nearby.

An Indian problem! Toilets have no jets! But it is a solvable problem if you know what I mean! Bring bottles or plastic mugs!

The hotel is quite close to the castle, and the room is quite large (much larger than I expected). The staff are very friendly and helpful. Outside the hotel, there is tram and the ticket can be bought at the reception. Facilities in the room are also good, there is a mini bar with multiple drinks.

Everything is very good, I don’t have things that I don’t really dislike.

Booked a standard double for 5 nights. When I questioned why my room had a kettle but no facilties to make a drink. I was upgraded to a higher quality room for free. I found staff very helpful & welcoming overall. The bar man was very accommodating to my food requests also. Housekeeping was good. I used laundry service twice & whet I returned to my room in the evening. My clothes were washed, dried & folded on my bed waiting. Purchased a 72hr transport pass from reception (350CKR) which was very good value for money & tram stops right outside (no 22). I only went for breakfast twice. As I found the food wasn't too my to taste. But that's a personal preference to me. I didn't notice a few mantaince issues in the hotel. The odd cracked ceiling paint & my original room had a piece of skirting board missing in the entrance area. The tv was not great. Most the channels didn't work. The bed I found was bad for me. I have MS in the spine. The mattress was very firm & the pillows were soft to a point where you head sank flat onto the mattress. This agitated my condition. So I had a bad back most days due to this. The bar doesn't seem to be open in the week. Which I found unusual. On a whole. Very good stay with very helpful staff. I would return. Thank you🙂👍🏻

My review is based on 14 days in Czechia staying in  different accommodation every night....Was the stay value for money & would i stay here again and recommend? Yes! Pre arrival messages from Reception and welcome where excellent and my request for a choice of room was exactly what i requested. The room was outstanding, beautifully carpeted with patio windows and control of the heating.

Sadly. Some one needs to do a ' 'mystery guest' at breakfast. At 07.05 i took a photo of breakfast room. The only eggs were fried and all 30+ were solid and I could not eat them. Clearly cooked some time ago. No scrambled eggs which when cooked in butter stay edible for some time. There are approx 40 tables seating 4 on each=160 placements and one coffee machine! At 07.05 there were only 4 people and all queuing for coffee! So pleased I did not come any later!! 4☆ breakfast!?
