Romantik Hotel U Raka is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay in Prague. The hotel has a cozy, old-world charm that makes it feel really special. Each room is unique and full of character, with a mix of historic details and modern comfort. Mr. Paul and Magda are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Magda's breakfast is delicious and served in a lovely setting. The location is perfect—quiet, yet just a short walk from Prague Castle. If you want a stay that’s charming, relaxing, and full of personality, this is the place.

Having the facilities to make coffee in the room would have been appreciated.

Very unique 6 room property steeped in history with a lovely garden area and kind and accommodating staff. Daily breakfast was wonderful and included home baked goods. Special shout out to Kate! It’s a little hidden ( behind the castle) from the center but a 7 dollar uber gets you there or back. We enjoy walking and exploring so we would walk the 30-60 minutes pass various cafes etc. It was a restful retreat after a full day of sightseeing. If you don’t have an accommodation you can still stop at the cafe/restaurant to enjoy a small bite or refreshment while visiting the castle and nearby area. Great place for couples but I was traveling with my adult daughter who thoroughly enjoyed it too. This place is for you if you enjoy family run, beautiful and unique properties.

Nothing at all. If you have difficulty with ambulating the nearby streets cobblestone streetsmay pose a problem although easy to contact a taxi if needed.

The welcome at the peep hole by our host, to our Boutique location. The Ambience, having a quiet courtyard just for guests to relax, Especially after a Touring walk throughout the day. Suprise candle lit breakfast, with personalised service., & freshly made specialities . Quiet location close to some of Prague's hidden gems & iconic attractions. Every where you looked in the establishment there was something you hadn't noticed before, Antique memoriablia from yester year. ( memories 4" me ). Photos of how the building was restored, amazing.

Everything was excellent, arrived early and was able to leave our bags and go sight seeing until the room was available. Staff very friendly and always happy to help with anything that we needed. The Hotel is at the edge of the city, this did mean that walking into the city center meant that we walked passed almost all of the major attractions without having to look for them. Walk to the palace on Sunday morning and happened to see the changing of the guards at 12pm which was an additional bonus. Walking into the center is no problem as mostly down hill, walked back once and then decided to use Uber (+/- 6 euros) to return to the hotel on the following days to avoid the hill :)

It was fabulous. So quirky. Amazingly clean and fresh, fabulous food and friendly, welcoming staff. Lots of thought and attention to detail.

I rang to say our flight was delayed and was told if we weren’t there by 7.30 we couldn’t check in. After contacting booking.com helpline and a very stressful flight worrying about it, we arrived an hour late and to our relief were welcomed and checked in.

Most beautiful, magical and secluded hotel located just steps from Prague Castle but feels like you’re in another world and away from all the tourists. Short walk to public transportation too! Amazing service, fresh baked goods daily and made to order breakfast. The staff is wonderful and attentive but also leave you alone to enjoy the property and truly relax. I can not recommend this highly enough. My partner and I had the best time.

You can't beat this place for atmosphere. It's a remodeled 18th-century house and stables that is still decorated with rustic gardening and farming decor. It provides the right mix of updated features and old world charm. There are thoughtful touches everywhere, like chocolates on the pillows. The staff were very sweet and accommodating to my sister and me, staying late to help us get checked in after our train to Prague got delayed in a snow storm. The breakfast was phenomenal. It's just the cutest little place.

Location-wise, it's a bit far from the Old Town across the river where most of the touristy sights are. We did not have a car, but luckily, Ubers are cheap in Prague and we were able to get around that way with ease. You can also walk about 15 minutes to get to Prague Castle. There is a tram stop about a five minute walk away as well, and Prague public transportation is easy to navigate. As a minor note that's not really a negative per se, the place caters to couples (as suggested in the name), so my sister and I may have been a bit out of place staying there, but the staff were still as sweet as can be. Because the house is old, you CAN hear every little noise (including, ahem, some of the more romantic couples), so bring ear plugs if you're sound sensitive.

Lovely small hotel near the castle on a quiet street. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were a treat each morning with different home made specialties. We enjoyed sitting on the lovely garden. The tram was not far ( did have to walk up some steps), and it took you to the prime tourist areas downtown. The Prague Castle district was in easy walking distance. We would recommend a restaurant Kychyn, near the castle with a wonderful view but best to make reservation. The staff recommended it and we had a great experience there. Also would recommend a walk in the Deer Moat (Jeleni Prikop) park. It was a nice way to avoid the castle crowds.

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at the Romantic hotel U Raka, and we were blown away by the experience. The hotel is situated in a charming old part of Prague, close to the Prague Castle and other attractions. The room was spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a lovely view. The staff was amazing, they were always friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. They made us feel very welcome and special. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romantic getaway in Prague.

The character of the hotel was lovely as it felt like we were staying at an alpine lodge. I loved it. The team there were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Place spotless, food 1st class and beds so comfortable 😊

Not a complaint but simply a suggestion. Ability to make a tea or coffee after 7pm either in the dining room or room would enhance a stay but that is my only Point
