The location is superb and we had an upper floor room with a balcony overlooking the cathedral. Staff were great and kindly stored our suitcases after checking out as we had day of exploring Cologne before moving on.

The pillows were probably the worst we have ever experienced in a hotel. Someone thought that making them 900mm square gave you the option of folding them to get double height but that didn't work. They had virtually no firm filling in them and were just empty bags. Most hotels struggle to get pillows right but this was the worst we had ever come across. Many hotels give you two pillows but lots of people find one is not high enough and two is too high. If ony someone would invent the half pillow thickness!

Great location right next to the Cathedral and a short walk to the river and other key tourist sites. Our room offered a great view of the Cathedral. Would recommend as a business trip hotel as it is exactly what is required for a business trip.

Beds were 2 single beds to form a double and the duvets were the same. Our visit coincided with a gaming convention which resulted in hotel prices being increased significantly so would not say it was the best value for money at the time (though was much more affordable than other hotels so perhaps they should be forgiven!)

Location is excellent to city attractions. The cathedral is a stones throw away. We wnet for the Christmas Markets and there was a small market right across the street that was open a little later and great for a late night snack. The train station is about a two minute walk. If you are approaching from the station, walk around the back side of the Cathedral, walk down the ramped area, stay to the lower sreet level cross the street to the right and walk under the museum. Take a right at the next corner and you are there! It is up on the left. Really close.

The entrance steps are a little daunting with heavy luggage. I saw several folks struggling to get their bags up and down. Seems trivial at this point.

Comfortable and clean room in excellent location. Our balcony had a great view of the cathedral. It's worth asking for or booking one of these rooms. Fantastic breakfast can be purchased if it's not included in your room. It's worth doing at least one morning of your stay.

Our room was smaller than it seemed in the photos. It was still comfortable but just a little squeezy for the person on the window side of the bed and you had to be careful not to kick the step leading to the balcony if you get out of bed in the dark at night.

The hotel is very close to the train station, and is in a relatively quiet location. We walked to all of the sights, and there were so many restaurants nearby. Shopping district is also within a two or three minute walk. Never had the need for public transportation (we even walked up to Flora Botanical). It was very a nice hotel - clean, updated, etc. We didn't expect much, but were very surprised by this hotel - absolutely loved it.

No complaints, we were all very happy with our stay (three rooms).

Absolutely loved the location of this hotel! (exceeded our expectations). Our room had a view directly facing a Christmas market which was so beautiful and festive for our Christmas stay. You could hear the Christmas music playing from the room which was delightful. The room was a great size and the beds were very comfy. No faults with the bathroom either. The location of the hotel was really close to a range of Christmas markets and the Rhine river.

The hotel breakfast buffet was more on the expensive side

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent—close to everything and with a beautiful view of the cathedral right from the window.

The overall experience was great, but there were a couple of small drawbacks. The shower area felt a bit cramped, and it could get a little noisy at times, possibly due to the central location. Still, these were minor issues and didn’t take away from an otherwise pleasant stay.

Now we can call it my home in Cologne. The location was very nice. After a friendly and quick check-in process, I went to my room. I booked a room with a view of the Dom. Only my room was in a separate section from the other rooms. in an area such as a stairwell, exiting from the corridor section of other rooms. But I don't know whether this is good or bad. That's why I didn't want to give any negative rating. The room was very nice in terms of comfort and cleanliness. See you again. Best regards.

The location was superb. Friendly reception staff. Especially David on front desk. The room was clean and comfortable.

The pillows were awful. So soft and made sleeping really difficult. It was a large square pillow & even folding it in half was not enough. We asked for a firmer pillow via reception. We were given another square pillow the same. On check out we did tell reception and David informed us that firmer pillows were available. He was very apologetic that we didn’t get what we asked for.

We loved our room with a beautiful view of the Cathedral and a balcony. The breakfast was exceptional and the service was excellent. The location was right next to the Cathedral and many good restaurants and shops. The front desk allowed us to check in a little early and was very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable hotel in a great area in Cologne!

I would recommend not allowing smoking right outside the front door. It is so unpleasant for non smokers to have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get into the Hotel.
