Staff at breakfast were excellent but greeting staff member miserable. Excellent breakfast and good location with good public areas.

Light control in room 555 was broken so could not use bedside lamp unless we left the wall lights on - hence when I got up in the night for the loo it was a case of fumbling in the dark.

Location, ease of check-in, friendly staff. :Large comfortable room. Aircon worked this time! Brilliant customer service when my partner left something behind in the room -- they located it within minutes and have kept it for our next visit.

Shower head attachment wouldn't screw up tight so head flopped around -- impossible to stand under the shower. Not enough light -- needs reading light on other side of bed. STUPID new light switches -- no switches AT ALL beside the bed! Only three little switches by the entrance -- black on black so impossible to see anyway -- so you have to grope around when you get up in the night. 4-way power socket extension is a good idea but has a VERY bright blue light on it -- had to cover it up at night.

we had a rubbish breakfast first day because they didn’t tell we were I executive breakfast. instead we we offer dreadful room no amenities on your table and cardboard cups did complain. dreadful

Stayed here a few times and it’s location is amazing but it is getting very tired and dated aircon in rooms was old and didn’t work very well

A Memorable Stay at Copthorne Tara Hotel, London We recently stayed at the Copthorne Tara Hotel, London, from 7th to 16th November 2024, and our overall experience was exceptional. The hotel’s central location in Kensington makes it an excellent choice for tourists. It is conveniently located near public transportation, with easy access to buses and the Underground, making it simple to explore London’s iconic attractions. Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity offering diverse cuisines, complemented by the hotel’s own in-house restaurant, which is a great option for dining in. We were warmly welcomed by Ms. Afsha at the reception, whose exceptional hospitality set the tone for a pleasant stay. She went above and beyond to provide guidance on must-visit attractions in London, creating a lasting positive impression. Upon our arrival at the hotel entrance around 4 PM, we were greeted with a warm smile by a security team member whose name we unfortunately do not remember. His courteous demeanor added to the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel and made us feel immediately at ease. The housekeeping team maintained our room impeccably each day, ensuring it was always clean and well-prepared with essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and towels. However, tissues in the bedroom were notably missing, which could be a small area for improvement. Additionally, closer attention to replenishing tea and coffee supplies in the room would enhance the overall guest experience. On the day of our departure, we appreciated the convenience of storing our luggage securely with the concierge until 5 PM, allowing us to make the most of our time in London before our onward journey. Mr. Maaz, who handled our checkout process, was courteous and efficient, offering helpful advice on nearby attractions and encouraging us to make the best use of our remaining time. Similarly, Mr. Gulzaar impressed us with his kind and professional demeanor during our stay.

Friendly and helpful staff, rooms very clean although a little dated. Good breakfast, excellent area, attended Royal Albert Hall for a concert and only 15 minute walk to hotel. Also option to use buses and trains both within a 5 minute walk from hotel.

Often had to wait a considerable time for the lift to take us to our room on 11th floor. There was always at least one if not two lifts continuously out of service. Those that were operating would be overloaded with people by the time they got to our floor so we could not enter the lift and would have to recall and wait for another lift. Rooms are quite dated and could do with a makeover. New windows are required as gap between outer and inner windows of approximately 6 inches and there are strips of carpet which are covered in mildew between the glass panes which is not nice to look at.

Hotel's location is great, 3 min walk from High Street Kensington Underground station and 10 min walk from Earl's Court Underground station, situated in a peaceful and quiet area of Kensington. The check-in process was good and hotel was kind enough to separate the double beds into twin beds in our room, as requested during the booking process. Hotel offers you a 24/7 self-checkout shop with various amenities and goods, including umbrella rental, which you'll definitely need in London.

The hotel's furniture and general design is a bit outdated and worn-out, but it still offers value for money.

The spaciousness of the room. The lavish dining room facilities. The staff. I wonder why it’s a 4 star when I would grade it 5 stars.

1) This I shall keep to myself as I’m sure it will be attended to. The front desk staff are top of the top. Special thanks to Devi and Kayam who are a definite asset to Copthorne Tara Hotel, Kensington, London. 2) The 10 minute walk back from the Underground - HighStreet Kensington - can be a bit tedious for senior citizens but definitely will still recommend this hotel. 3) I have a question: how come Copthorne Tara was lowly graded at 6.9 while another certain place I stayed at, through Booking.com, got graded 6.5? These two hotels are worlds apart so someone is not being very fare. (I’d have graded that hotel at 3 - it was awful in every respect).

It was close to Kensington high street tube station which was very handy . Holland Park and Design museum were within walking distance , Lots of staff there as it was extremely busy when we went. We checked in and receptionist said would we like breakfast, told her it was included but she said not. Went back later with our booking and she said they hadn’t updated the system, (Booking.com or the hotel I don’t know) The manager came and said the same but he did say I will let you have the breakfasts. The room was comfortable and well kept. The shower was over the bath not a walk in one but was nice and clean. Breakfast was help yourself buffet and was plentiful, Had a meal in Bugis which was very nice and tasty,

So close to everything my kids love, parks, shops, and am looking to RENT property for my family to move in while in London

The proximity of all my locations, The rooms, The beds, i liked everything However the pressure of the toilet was very low, couldn’t flash the loo properly, SO we had to go use the loo at the ground floor near the reception, we were scared of blocking the loo, We didn’t mind. The engineer came and explained the type of the toilet it is (i forgot the description of it) housing keeping girl so so lovely. I am going back, Oh! its affordability suits me, o can’t afford more than a double room they charge, it works for me. We like a lot
