Air con was good, as it was very hot outside; good sized, comfortable room that was nicely decorated; very quiet room and corridor; lovely beds, large TV screen; plenty of lifts; nicely designed building, quality carpets and furniture throughout; large reception area with cafe; busy, seasoned hotel in pleasant location of Kensington near restaurants// cafes with good transport links to West End, Hyde Park, Chelsea etc

A very intense curry spice smell in one section of our corridor (top floor) that lingered for the whole of our stay. Breakfast was disappointing for such a busy hotel, with unpleasantly cooked food and poor choices of cereals and fruit. Although the hotel was pleasant, it was a little dated and originally must have had a colonial theme.

Staff at breakfast were excellent but greeting staff member miserable. Excellent breakfast and good location with good public areas.

Light control in room 555 was broken so could not use bedside lamp unless we left the wall lights on - hence when I got up in the night for the loo it was a case of fumbling in the dark.

Location, ease of check-in, friendly staff. :Large comfortable room. Aircon worked this time! Brilliant customer service when my partner left something behind in the room -- they located it within minutes and have kept it for our next visit.

Shower head attachment wouldn't screw up tight so head flopped around -- impossible to stand under the shower. Not enough light -- needs reading light on other side of bed. STUPID new light switches -- no switches AT ALL beside the bed! Only three little switches by the entrance -- black on black so impossible to see anyway -- so you have to grope around when you get up in the night. 4-way power socket extension is a good idea but has a VERY bright blue light on it -- had to cover it up at night.

Very good location. Room clean quiet and comfortable. Good air con and WiFi. Nice to have chocolate left for me and also water. Essentials taken care of so I would stay again.

Cleaners knocked on my door last day at 9 to see when I was going even though checkout wasn’t until 12! I didn’t appreciate the long queues at concierge to leave and collect my luggage and now I recommend leaving it in room until checkout at 12, thereby also avoiding concierge fee. I was trying to not do this so that cleaners could start work in room. I also felt that staff on desk could have been a bit more friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.

Awesome location in Kensington and only 3 mins walk to the tube. Plenty of shops and places to eat around. Hotel has seen better days but still well-presented and it doesn't take away from quality 4-star hotel stay. Rooms are well-cleaned, well-equipped and provided for. Beds are good size and comfy. They provide plenty of pillows!

- Hotel slippers was missing in the room so had to ask for it (was present in the other rooms). - Breakfast was very plain and basic I regretted signing up for it. Eating out in the shops and cafes around would have been better value. - Self-laundry facilities would have been a plus. Hotel will not assist with using external laundry services which was a pain.

Well as my daughter told me the cereal was great , the bacon was good but the scrambled eggs were shocking which she was right and if I'm honest the food was not hot because the food was on a hot plate and the coffee I got with my breakfast was not good it was not hot at all

How I asked to check in a hour earlier than 3pm and the hotel said to check in early I had to book a room for the night before which to me I wasn't spending over £320 to stay 1 night and then the morning we was leaving got a text to get me to tell them when we was leaving which I didn't go on to the link they sent me and If you go in to the bar get a ready for a heart attack at the price £12:94 for a pint of madri and a j2o , so we only had 1 drink lol

we had a rubbish breakfast first day because they didn’t tell we were I executive breakfast. instead we we offer dreadful room no amenities on your table and cardboard cups did complain. dreadful

A Memorable Stay at Copthorne Tara Hotel, London We recently stayed at the Copthorne Tara Hotel, London, from 7th to 16th November 2024, and our overall experience was exceptional. The hotel’s central location in Kensington makes it an excellent choice for tourists. It is conveniently located near public transportation, with easy access to buses and the Underground, making it simple to explore London’s iconic attractions. Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity offering diverse cuisines, complemented by the hotel’s own in-house restaurant, which is a great option for dining in. We were warmly welcomed by Ms. Afsha at the reception, whose exceptional hospitality set the tone for a pleasant stay. She went above and beyond to provide guidance on must-visit attractions in London, creating a lasting positive impression. Upon our arrival at the hotel entrance around 4 PM, we were greeted with a warm smile by a security team member whose name we unfortunately do not remember. His courteous demeanor added to the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel and made us feel immediately at ease. The housekeeping team maintained our room impeccably each day, ensuring it was always clean and well-prepared with essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and towels. However, tissues in the bedroom were notably missing, which could be a small area for improvement. Additionally, closer attention to replenishing tea and coffee supplies in the room would enhance the overall guest experience. On the day of our departure, we appreciated the convenience of storing our luggage securely with the concierge until 5 PM, allowing us to make the most of our time in London before our onward journey. Mr. Maaz, who handled our checkout process, was courteous and efficient, offering helpful advice on nearby attractions and encouraging us to make the best use of our remaining time. Similarly, Mr. Gulzaar impressed us with his kind and professional demeanor during our stay.

Convenient to Albert hall

Stayed here a few times and it’s location is amazing but it is getting very tired and dated aircon in rooms was old and didn’t work very well

Friendly and helpful staff, rooms very clean although a little dated. Good breakfast, excellent area, attended Royal Albert Hall for a concert and only 15 minute walk to hotel. Also option to use buses and trains both within a 5 minute walk from hotel.

Often had to wait a considerable time for the lift to take us to our room on 11th floor. There was always at least one if not two lifts continuously out of service. Those that were operating would be overloaded with people by the time they got to our floor so we could not enter the lift and would have to recall and wait for another lift. Rooms are quite dated and could do with a makeover. New windows are required as gap between outer and inner windows of approximately 6 inches and there are strips of carpet which are covered in mildew between the glass panes which is not nice to look at.
