The location was fantastic and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Our room key stopped working and they were so good getting it sorted for us. Valet parking also made life easy not having to navigate to find alternate parking. The concierge staff were also very friendly and efficient.

The bed & pillows were really soft which isn’t great for everyone, my husband has back issues and a little firmer mattress would’ve been more comfortable for us. After 2 nights on the extra soft mattress he is feeling some discomfort in his back. I also didn’t sleep well with the pillows feeling lumpy. One night would’ve been no problems but 2 nights left us feeling unrested.

The location was excellent, with a tram stop right out front, DFO just across the water, and the Crowne Casino within a stone’s throw. Plenty of dining options along the river and nearby food courts made it very convenient. The staff were attentive, friendly, and provided seamless service throughout my stay. The breakfast offerings were fantastic, and the schnitzel from room service was honestly the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable experience! Good for couples.

We stayed at the Crowne in September 2024 and became aware of the construction of a multi-story building next to the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool. There was some slight noise from Monday to Saturday, starting at 7 AM, but the room’s soundproofing was very effective, though not completely noise-free. Thankfully, this disruption is temporary, as it’s only due to the ongoing construction. There was something biting us in the bed that left small red dots and the staff promptly changed all the bed linen.

The Beds are amazing, soft fresh crisp sheets after a long day walking the city of Melbourne. Wonderful. The concierge were always very helpful with city information & directions. The Room was well planed out & the curtains blocked out all the sun if you wanted a sleep-in!! Very Happy & will stay at the same hotel next time. Thank you!!

Some of room service meals were sold out... but was a busy week-end. So we understand. Would of liked a late nite snack, something light & simple... eg...croissant with ham & cheese toasted .

The bed was comfortable, and the room was set up nicely. I like the style of the bathroom it was spacious, and the shower was very relaxing. I loved returning to my room after being out in the city to re-energize. I made a call to the hotel from New Zealand with a few queries about parking etc and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I loved the views from different points around the hotel. Stunning! Melbourne City is gorgeous at night.

Very minor things: I think the tea and coffee drawer may not have been re-stocked properly. There was no raw or white sugar and only decaffeinated coffee sachets. The mirror in the closet area was a little dusty.

As soon as we walked in, we felt very welcomed! Everyone was lovely and greeted us as we entered with their beautiful smiles! The hotel was very clean and smelled great too! We loved that they have buffet breakfast available there, as well as a bar (the woman there made one of the best amaretto sours I've ever had to be honest!) There's an outdoor pool available there too which we got to dip our feet in for a bit which was lovely. Room was comfortable with a clean and modern bathroom. Great vibe overall.

It would've been nice to have a bottle of water available for guests in the rooms. I understand that the mini bar is on-request, but a complimentary cold bottle of water especially on a hot summer day would definitely be appreciated! That's the ONLY critique really!

I love staying at this hotel. Its in the perfect location just down the road from the casino. Has lovely views from the higher floors. Its clean and has the most comfy beds and pillows. The breakfast is awesome with lots to choose from and a chef that prepares your eggs on the spot. Such a luxury! I also like the bar where you can have a cocktail, snack and play a game of pool before going out. The gym facilities are perfect. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay.

The swimming pool is outside and faces towards all the rooms. There is no privacy out there and no cover and not enough seating for everyone in the sun. Its quite cold out there atm being end of October. If only it was undercover. This is a minor thing though.

How accommodating the staff were as I was travelling on my own with two children (6 and 1). Friendly, kind, understanding and so helpful. The buffet was a great addition for us and the kids club which operates during the school holidays was also a wonderful bonus. More hotels need to be this considerate of families.

That the Dive Bar bites weren't an option for room service. I was craving the buffalo chicken wings and the babe's were asleep. I'm not upset about it, but some warm olives and wings would have been amazing.

The service was excellent, from concierge, dining to housekeeping - all staff provided timely and professional services. The room amenities were comfortable and the location perfect for attending the convention centre. In particular, the staff at the Concierge desk and valet parking were very prompt. Michael who manages the restaurant on the dinner shift made our evening far superior - he was friendly, professional, chatted to our family, and made us feel happy, well fed and energised at the end of a long day. Mel, one of the staff on the breakfast shift, was also a stand out. She was incredibly polite, helpful and efficient in her role.

Finding the entrance to the hotel if driving is very confusing amongst ongoing construction work. Better instructions and a map would help. Didn't like the bedding configuration of 2 double beds. One queen and a double/single would be ideal.

Great location and so good to have all facilities on site. Small cafe, a bar, a restaurant so that if it's cold outside, you needn't leave the hotel. Rooms were modern and clean and spacious with large TV and decent size bathroom. Staff were super efficient. Would stay here again. Concierge staff also super helpful in getting you taxis etc.

Only negative were the roadworks going on at the entrance however I'm sure once all complete, it will be even better than an already excellent hotel.

The counter staff were wonderful and very kindly let me check in quite early. The room was lovely with a beautiful view of the river. The bedding was especially comfortable and the room was well cleaned.

A misleading sign pointing to ‘Crowne Plaza Acess’ sent me through a dirty and noisy building site. When I mentioned this to the concierge, it was quite clear they couldn’t give a damn. Two other times I asked a concierge for help or directions, their attitude was unimpressive. It seemed they were more interested in looking important than helping the paying guests.
