Our first rooms were far from the lifts but after requesting ones nearer to a lift due to mobility problems we were moved to ones only a few doors from one. All the staff were wonderful, polite, friendly, helpful and very hardworking. Special mention to Abi, Amelia, Liam and Manuel for being interested in us and for making our stay so pleasant. Breakfasts were excellent and plentiful. The location from the old town is just a few minutes walk to the Abbey and surrounds

The restaurant menu choices could be improved if like us you don't like spicy food although the Charcutier platter was excellent We didn't like having to pay £18 for 24 hrs parking and think maybe the Hotel could come to some arrangement with Waitrose The music in the public areas was rather annoying sometimes

When we booked via Booking.com we were sure we selected a room that had breakfast included. The booking confirmation we subsequently received from Booking.com stated that we had booked on a room-only basis and no breakfast was mentioned. We were careful when we did this booking because we got caught earlier this year (different hotel and location, also via Bookng.com) in the same way, when we arrived to be told that we had booked on a room-only basis, so no breakfast was included! There is obviously something amiss here with Booking.com and we will avoid this booking site when looking to book hotel accommodation in future!

As staying as two Disabled guests I did first park right outside hotel which was brilliant but was told I would need to keep putting a ticket every 24 hours so hotel said to park underneath which was ok until my poor mum had a very bad fall in the carpark on our second day in which she ended up in hospital for the next 3 days so we didn’t get to do our break away which was very upsetting. We paid for 4 nights and breakfast included but my mum only stayed 2 nights and 2 breakfast and was charged for whole stay and breakfast. Mum ended up with broken shoulder/ arm bruised head and bruised knees and we are back home and my mum is in hospital now with a bad heart too. Such a shame this happened as bath is a beautiful place and we was so happy the first day until my mums very bad fall.

Location is brilliant. Nice hotel. Had availability when other places all booked out. Have stayed here three times now.

Service was not up to scratch this time round. I approached the desk at 8:30am to ask for early check in if possible. Told to come back at 1pm, still no room yet, I witnessed them giving early check in to others. Finally was told the message never got to housekeeping so after a 5am wake up for me that day with 3 hours of driving, I finally got into the room at around 3pm ash, only 1 hr prior to standard check in time, despite all efforts for early check in and there being rooms they gave to others for early check in. Also a shame they don't have any affiliation with the car park under neath, like designated spots closer to access to hotel.

Room was very well placed near to the lift which was a help for my husband who cannot walk far. Bed very comfy and room spacious. Hotel was in a great location with disabled parking right outside the front door which was a real bonus for us.

The door to the bathroom was frosted glass and there was a large window in the bathroom with no blinds. This meant as soon as the sun came up (on a very sunny morning), the room was full of sunlight despite the bedroom curtains being closed and impossible to sleep. The wardrobe was tiny and difficult to fit anything in, especially with an ironing board in there as well

Extremely Comfortable. Breakfast buffet first class. Guy, who runs the Saturday morning session, was extremely welcoming. Offered a table in the sun. Was very engaging. Shook our hands when we left. Room very comfortable, nice and clean. Generous tea and coffees are offered with a warm cookie on arrival.Nice white towels, shower gels, and shampoo. All in anti theft containers. We had 351 good views up the street. Quiet position. Room nice and dark.

Although comfortable feather pillow caused allergy. It's no ones fault. Didn't realise until 1 a.m. ...... It's just a learning curve for myself. Not a complaint.

Fab location only a couple of minutes walk into the centre. Very friendly helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Lots of good choice for breakfast, something to suit everyone such as a full English or fresh fruit, meats, different types of breads, cereal etc. The weather was fabulous on the days we were there so it was a nice touch when we got back from sight seeing to find big glass jars full of iced water (one with fresh fruit in it) so you could help yourself and also enjoy some popcorn with it which was also free. The rooms had everything you needed, hair dryer, safe, air con. It was my partners birthday whilst we were there and they left some cakes and a drinks voucher for him again a really nice touch. I would certainly recommend staying here.

Checking in was at 4pm which I thought was a bit late but we arrived at around 3pm and luckily the room was ready for us.

The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable. Great location for walking to the attractions etc very central. The breakfast on both days was very good. Staff lovely.

Dont pull your car up at the front of the hotel, we got fined. We were told by staff at counter we could unload our bags whilst the car was out the front of the hotel. We then recieved a parking fine. The car would have been out the front of the hotel for 2-3min max, the car ran the entire time and only one of us actually got out of the car to get the bags out. This was very disappointing.

Amazing location. Hotel really nicely decorated. Rooms spotless and very quiet. Perfect for a weekend break in Bath.

When I was booking I wanted somewhere with parking. Whilst there is a car park under the hotel. Trying to get back to the car on the last day with a couple of bags was a bit difficult as Waitrose wasn’t open at the time. Whilst I know there is a parking facility to the side of the hotel outside, I felt this was more secure. Staff were ok, but didn’t have a lot of interaction as I went out for breakfast as Bath has so many lovely places.

We had a free upgrade via booking.com but the room we were allocated certainly wasn't an upgrade. We asked the receptionist when we left what the upgraded room should have contained and she mentioned things that were certainly not in our room. However she would not accept what we told her and insisted her computer was correct. If we had physically paid extra for the upgraded room then we would have taken it further. Quite simply, check on arrival what type of room you are being allocated to ensure it's correct. Just because their computer says it's a superior room it doesn't mean it actually is!
