Had a great sized double room with a good sized bathroom, both of which were clean and had facilities such as desk, tea & coffee making to suit my needs. The staff are always friendly and happy to assist with any requests. I have stayed here now on many occasions and feel safe in the area, which offers great tube access and handy restaurants/take aways. It was a warm week in London and my room had 3 windows I could open to add ventilation.

Extremely cheap for its location, great hotel staff. Perfect place to stay as solo traveller or working weekends, beds are comfortable with heated flooring in the bathroom. The TV didn’t have any channels which was a shame (GO4), plenty of bars near by and lots of lovely places to eat. The hotel is a stone throw away from the Oval cricket stadium, not that anyone actually likes or watches cricket.

Our main reason to book here was because its central, quick connection with the underground to sightseeings. Also it had good reviews and it was a real honest price. (London in general is real expensive). Check in and out was easy and we get all the info we needed. Friendly and helpfull staff and 24 hours open. The room is large. TV and kettle available. Beds and pillows good. Bathroom clean. Pretty soundproof. Outside hotel is a pretty living street with small kiosks, restaurants, shops and the metro station is just a minute walk, For breakfast Oval Cafe is recommended (Just next to the metro station). For fasfood Smash and Grill (Just accross the street). And for pub The Derby (Just accross the street).

It is useful that there was a person at the reception any time you arrive and he/she was very friendly and always ready to help with any question/request we had. The room is decent with good bathroom/shower. There is an electric kettle with some tea, coffee, sugar.

The windows of our room overlooked the street so it was obviously noisy, cars were passing day and night. Our room was on the first floor so it was difficult to open the windows as anyone on street could see inside the room. We stayed in London after a wave of heat and the room was rather stuffy, although tere were a fan that helped to cool up.

Had a twin room that my sister and I were staying in. The room was very clean, as was the en-suite shower room. It was on the ground floor facing the main road. When windows were shut you couldn't really hear any noise from the road. Some tea and coffee sachets with a kettle in the room. No air conditioning but knew this anyway. Fan was provided. The room is really good value for money. Staff at reception were very friendly. I would stay again. Lots of good restaurants / cafes in the area for food.

All good - I didn't expect any extras, for such a reasonably priced room fairly close to the centre of London, a few minutes walk from Oval Station!!!

This hotel has suited my needs on several stays for both location and cleanliness. The staff welcome me back each time and are extremely polite and helpful. I have stayed in a large sized double room with great bathroom for a London hotel. Location has good travel links, local cafes for reasonable priced breakfast and meals. The room is serviced daily, clean linen, tea and coffee making facility in the room at a great price. Highly recommend for a no frills hotel. I always feel safe here.

Staff were excellent. Special mention to Jay: excellent service: polite, efficient, helpful, happy. His messages & responses pre-stay were very helpful and timely; he more than matched that stance in person during our stay. The initial room allocated to us was fine but was on the lower-ground level. Jay helpfully moved us to a different room on a different level without any fuss - thank you, Jay. This hotel is excellent value for money. My wife and I attended days 1&2 of the test match at The Oval. It is 2 mins walk from the ground - so convenient. We left bags there before check in on day 1, so we didn't have to cart them into the ground; went back at check-in (1.30pm) to check in...all took no more than one minute...so back to the ground before the second session started. We also left bags there after check out on day 2 for the same reason: again, no fuss and made life very easy to nip back to collect after the game. The room is on the small side but it really didn't matter as (1) we were only staying there to access facilities at and around Oval / Kennington and (2) the price is very competitive. The bathroom was fine: clean, fresh linen etc. Will absolutely stay here again. Can't think why I haven't come across this place before, given how many times I have been coming to this area for cricket etc.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how much value the hotel offered for the price. The staff greeted us warmly, and the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. While settling in, we discovered that the steamer in our room wasn't working. However, as soon as we mentioned it to the front desk, they immediately offered to bring us an iron, which was delivered to our room within minutes—such thoughtful and attentive service!

The staff was very friendly and we were offered help with our luggage since the lift was out of order. The bathroom was very nice with plenty of towel space and a very good shower. The bed was comfortable and we had a fan provided as the room did not have air conditioning.

The windows kept the sound out fairly well, but they were very hard to open. The rules for room service are unclear with conflicting messages in the room and at reception.
