Excellent location with trams, train and buses within walking distance. Tours’ pick up and drop off locations are nearby. Some restaurants / eating places across the street are also open on public holidays. Needed assistance with using the washing machine on Christmas Eve before the laundry room was closed and Tim was so nice and helpful. He set an exemplary example for other staff.

There was only one washing machine and one dryer that were working so I had to wait for more than half an hour before I could put my clothes in the dryer. Only one lift was working too and it was very slow. There was a strange issue whereby other guests and I took the lift from the first floor but the doors wouldn’t open on the third. We were then brought back to the first floor thrice before we were told by a staff it’s because someone else had pressed the lift on the first floor. Might want to take these into consideration when you are checking out.

The location was great, 5 min walk to train and 10 min walk to bus station, right in the centre of the city, plenty of grocery shops within 10 min walking distance. I arrived early and my room was ready so they kindly allowed me to check in like 1,5h before the scheduled time which was great! It was quiet (I haven’t heard any noise in during my week at all), felt safe, bed was comfortable. Strong WiFi. There was an iron, an ironing board, a kettle and tea, coffees (decaf and normal) and sugar. Housekeeping was in almost every day (Saturday was skipped for some reason). The sink was a bit small but other than that no complaints really.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel, and the highlight was the stunning ocean view from my room. The large windows allowed me to enjoy breathtaking sunrises and the soothing sound of waves throughout my stay. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean, making it a perfect retreat. The comfort of the bed and modern amenities added to the relaxing atmosphere, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Overall, this hotel offers a fantastic combination of comfort, scenic beauty, and excellent service, making it highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable seaside getaway.

The location of this property was excellent for our needs. Just a 5 minute walk to Southern Cross Station. Trams in the free tram zone were just outside the hotel. Even though the room was quite small it had a king size bed with a large enough TV at the end of the bed. The bathroom was compact but clean and all that you need for a stay in Melbourne. The room is not luxurious but the price reflected that.

The building is an old building with sash windows and we did have 2 windows that looked into another old building but at least this allowed light into the room. If light is important be aware that some shoebox rooms will not have windows.

Nice and helpful staff. Good room service. Pleasant scent from the perfume around the hallway. Clean bathroom. Convenient location (the southern cross station is just nearby.) Affordable accomodation price.

The room layout is a little weird. The desk in the room is placed right in front of the door of the bathroom. When I sit in front of the desk using my laptop, it's possible that my leg will touch the bathroom door, which feels awkward.

We always stay at the Best Western Melbourne every year to celebrate my wife's birthday. They have always looked after us. We will always have the Best Western Melbourne as our first choice of accommodation whenever we are visiting Melbourne.

Nothing really for us but just a note for all others who are planning to stay -- the shoebox room is quite small (hence the name) and the ensuite is snug. Please be warned especially if you have mobility issues.

Bedroom: We stayed at room 106, The bedroom was very lovely to walk into and presentation was great. Bed was firm, I liked it my partner kind of did too, Iron board, hair dryer little fridge and other little goodies was convenient for our stay. Bathroom: Had the main essentials for our stay and was lovely to have fresh towels each day. Location: We were here for Pax 2024 / MCEC this was a great position for small walks for our long days of walking, nice spots for other good times like restaurants and casino. View: Nice overwatch of the street.

The only thing we did not like was the shower cubicle. The door is way too small for my partner to fit through, she had to squeeze in the door to get in and out. My partner and myself slept through this; the train nearby can be loud if you're a quiet sleeper.

I don't want to discuss what I didn't like. I booked for the price. Things I didn't like were on me for not wanting to spend more money on somewhere better. For the Price - It was an excellent hotel.

The staff was really welcoming and accommodating. I booked double room and got a ground floor room with no window. As I could not be in a room without a window, the staff was very kind and understanding and gave me a king room with windows and lots of daylight. The room was spacious and clean, comfortable bed and good shower. The location is perfect.

Some rooms don't have windows. This can be hard for some guests. I think the room description must mention that.

It's clean, simple, efficient, included kettle, teas, comfortable bed and excellent hot water and water pressure. Working elevator and easy stairs access, and super friendly reception. I would so stay there again, the value is incredible. I even got early check in despite my room not being ready! They were so accommodating. There was nothing I didn't need and nothing I didn't get. I thought it was cold but the staff explained that the air-conditioning can act as a heater too in the right mode. I should have asked sooner than the last day. I love this place and would 100% stay again. The location, 5 minutes walk to the bus and train station, is fantastic. Love that there was self serve laundry with free detergent, because I packed light and it came in handy.

The bed had a headboard, but the mattress didn't attach to it and so the bed kept rolling away. That's the only thing I can imagine to complain about.
