The location was really good

The booking in for the pool. It seems silly only one family can book in at one time. Having to ask every time we wanted to use the gym

The staff are very well trained. Very efficient and alert in all departments, without being over intrusive. The hotel felt calm, peaceful, secure, safe. The location is ideal for all central Liverpool events. Our twin room was a perfect size to move around comfortably and with all the necessary amenities. On floor 10 so we enjoyed wonderful views over Liverpool rooftops and of the Mersey and Wirral. Excellent free WiFi. Good bar area to meet up with friends. Very good breakfast with a variety of hot and cold food and very tasty croissants.

All was good on our visit. No complaints at all.

I stayed at Novotel recently for my sister’s birthday and we had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff really looked after us and made the stay extra special. We were given a lovely, spacious room with a beautiful view, and to our surprise, they had left a complimentary birthday treat which was such a thoughtful touch. The room was very comfortable, with a fridge, coffee facilities, hotel robes, slippers, and complimentary toiletries. The beds were super comfy too, which made our stay even more relaxing. The facilities at the hotel are fantastic – there’s a swimming pool, sauna, and gym. Towels are provided at the pool, and although you need to book a slot in advance to use it, the sauna and gym can be accessed anytime. It’s perfect for unwinding and having some downtime. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, including dairy-free and gluten-free options. I loved that they even had smashed avocado, oat milk, and strawberry milkshakes – not something you usually see in hotels. The continental spread included fresh mini croissants, pain au chocolat, and mini waffles, which were delicious. The staff were outstanding – a special mention to Jay, Lorena, the lovely lady on reception, and the kind women working in the restaurant. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, which made the stay even better. In the evenings, we enjoyed the bar (which stays open late) and even had a few games on the pool table – a nice extra touch. The hotel is also in the perfect location, close to shops, restaurants, and the docks, making it ideal for exploring. Overall, we had such a comfortable and memorable stay. I would highly recommend Novotel, especially if you’re looking for somewhere modern, friendly, and well-located with great facilities.

Swimming pool could have been more warmer.

This hotel had a very comforting atmosphere with great facilities for all the family. Its location was perfect walking distance to the town and Albert docks. Lastly, the room was well maintained and had very helpful/ polite maintenance and housekeeping. I would 100% recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Sadly, the only minor things that could have been better, was the refrigerators temperature as it wasn’t very cold. Secondly, it would have been nice if the receptionist asked us at the end of our stay, “I hope you had a nice time and safe trip home”. This would’ve made the customer service go beyond the basic standards.

Great place to stay in Liverpool. ! Ideal ! Excellent location near everything Upon getting there we were very hungry after the kitchen had closed but Thomas was very nice and did his best to talk to the kitchen who promptly obliged and made us an excellent pizza . Next morning there he was to greet us with a welcoming smile at the wonderful breakfast buffet , full of energy and willingness to accommodate . Mathias also at the reception was very good and helpful as well . Room was good sized and bed was comfortable . All the staff we encountered were excellent. Breakfast hash browns , croissants & pain au chocolate were superb Highly recommended

Excellent location for getting pretty much everywhere in the city. The staff were very helpful and couldn't have been better, they were excellent. Breakfast was also really good. The place was very clean and well maintained.

The pool is great but... the changing bit is not good, it's clean and well maintained but there is not enough changing space, nowhere to dry costumes (even just a little). When there are a few people in the pool and they all get out at the same time there are not enough places to change or at least get dry. The shower in the room had a bit of limescale gunk around the bit that unhooks. In the hotels defense though, I forgot to report it and it wasn't unclean. I'm sure they would remedy if they knew.

The hotel was lovely we really enjoyed our stay staff were very friendly. The room was clean the reception/breakfast area was clean although maybe a little dark but was fine. Breakfast was lovely a lot of choices to suit everyone. The hotel is in a great location 10 minutes to the train station right next to a bus station and a huge shopping centre and a 5 minute walk from the Docks so everything within walking distance.

The pool wasnt great we stayed 2 nights so potentially could have used it 3 times but was only in it for 20 minutes on our first night. There was far too much chlorine in the pool as soon as we walked into the pool area our eyes were nipping we didn't even put our heads under the water and still our eyes were really sore. The water looked cloudy so we didn't stay for our full time. I should have said something to the reception at the time but just wanted to get back to the room to take a shower then noticed the pool was closed for the rest of our stay really disappointed about that

Great hotel in a great location

Cashless hotel, On check in night my card providers system crashed and no cards were working. I had cash to pay but it wasn’t allowed. The man on check in was very helpful and understanding however we had to ring family to use a card for the 1st night and wait for our card to work the next day as we were staying for almost a week. Thankfully we could arrange for a card that night but if not we would have had no hotel. Cashless society’s won’t work if technology goes down. It will make me reconsider a cashless hotel again.

Lack of information on check in re 1)use of pool -ie how to return to pick up access card, 2) breakfast times & location, 3) what was on in the evening. We had asked for a city view, to which we received a confirmation email confirming our request. However we had no view, in actual fact our window looked directly at an empty building which was disappointing.

We’ve stayed here numerous times. Staff were brilliant and so helpful. My mum took ill and we asked for some help, they couldn’t have done anymore. Nice atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic. Reasonably priced but could put a promotion on for multi day stays. Love that it’s pet friendly.

I’ve stayed here numerous times before. I prefer Novotel but switch to Premier Inn Albert Dock or Aloft. I looked to book Novo for only 2 rooms, same headcount, the month prior. Cost was almost £1200. I booked the PI instead. I then booked Novo just a week out because I got 3 rooms for half the price I was originally quoted for 2 rooms.
