The room was very nice, about the size you would expect from a modern chain. Plenty of plug-ins, which can be a challenge sometimes. We stayed one night and left early, so didn't have breakfast. The location was perfect for our needs. We were able to walk to all the Fest activities throughout old town, within 15 min from the Hotel.

I'm adding this bit up front so it gets some attention. After finally getting into our room and relaxing on the bed, our door opened. It was another customer who had been given the same room number as ours. They quickly apologized and that was it. Shortly after, a member of the staff knocked on our door to confirm what had happened. They apologized, and that was that. A bit concerning though. Although they guaranteed the room to be ready by 3pm, we arrived about 1pm and were told to check back about 2:30p. By 2:50p it was still not ready, but waiting for inspection. We entered our room just after 3pm and everything seemed to be in good shape. We had a knock on the door by the room supervisor asking if everything was ok.

Im used to Redisson Blu properties being upmarket.This property looked washed out. The room was so basic ,old and dreary.There should have been two transparent curtains ,there was only one . The reclining chair made a harsh squeaky noise ,should have been replaced months ago. The bathroom does not have shower hook ,right outside the shower. There was insufficient cupboard space for husband & wife to set out their clothing. The fridge did not have sufficient cooling ,to to keep the diabetic insulin in a cool environment.This fridge is old & delapitated. Should be replaced immediately. I was allocated room 419.

Das Radisson Blu Basel ist unser Lieblingshotel in Basel-Stadt. We have stayed here many times since 2015. This stay was 6 nights in a quiet premium room on floor 4. Wir genießen das sehr reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet. The staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. Vielen Dank an Monalisa, die Rezeption, und an Igor, Taylor, Leandro und alle im Speisesaal! The complete fitness center, pool, locker rooms with showers, sauna and steam room with showers, ice water bucket, and lounge chairs inside and outdoors are very well maintained and greatly appreciated. The Booking.com offer of CHF 20 for breakfast instead of the normal CHF 32 is a help as staying in a quality hotel in the city center.Also, the included Basel transportation card is great and a tram stop is nearly in front of the hotel and another is at Theater, nearly next door.i enjoyed evening Walk to the Rhein when Marktplatz was very quiet. Actually, we liked everything! The remodeling of the locker room showers was at times noisy, but the deluxe new ones will be worth it.

The hotel is located between the Basel SBB station and the city centre where the main sights, restaurants and shops are located. All were a short walk away. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable. The room was in a quiet location overlooking an internal courtyard and garden. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold options. The staff were very professional and welcoming.

This is a very, very minor issue, but I would have liked more and brighter lighting in the bedroom.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and it was an amazing experience from the moment we arrived. The check-in process was very simple and easy. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and attentive. The rooms are spacious and have good air conditioning. The housekeeping team does a great job keeping everything clean. The hotel’s location in the city center makes food and transportation very easy to access. The swimming pool is clean and convenient, and the gym is well-equipped. Overall, we definitely plan to come back next time, and I highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent breakfast, centrally located, close to amenities, could participate in carnival activities etc…

Air condition rather noisy at night, observed in all rooms (4). Balcony top floor unable to access, possibly because of healthy and safety issues! Despite that possible reason, the floor could be cleaned and weeded, possibly put some pots of trees, shrubberies in place to make it look nice and attractive! The present state of balcony floor looked filthy, unclean and derelict, in need of attention and clean-up! This doesn’t reflect the rest of the indoor cleanness and tidiness! Lift floor and corridor carpets may need revamping! This is just a constructive criticism, hope you don’t mind us saying!

Small rooms when compared to cost.

The hotel was perfectly situated in Basel and a short walk from the old city and main station. The tram/buses were just outside the hotel so lots of travel options were available. The hotel was modern and welcoming. The room was well sized with excellent bathroom facilities. It was very clean with comfortable beds, so I got an excellent night's sleep. Being able to open the windows is always a bonus. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location, friendly staff, food in restaurant very good too. Compared to other hotels it’s good value for money. Beds very comfortable Free water, fruit and sweets available all day in the foyer which was a nice touch.

Room very dusty and really needed a damp dusting to pick it all up! We didn’t think the chairs in the room were that comfortable. Room also very dark even with the lights on. You do get tram noise if situated at the front of the hotel as we were. Best to ask for a room at the back which hopefully would be quieter.

Location, cleanliness, facilities.

There was a handful of request/contact housekeeping issues. We requested some milk to the room as the tea and coffee facilities hadn’t been replenished when we arrived and when someone brought some more they brought two little milks. Then I tried calling reception and room service one evening many times and no one answered, so in the end we went out for food. We went to the reception again for more milk/coffee and they said they’d send someone to bring some but they never came.
