Pierre, the proprietor, is my savior. He helped me with a dental emergency; by doing so, he went above and beyond. Both he and Claire make you feel welcome; they offer good advice and are all-around good conversationalists. Breakfast is basic French. The room was spotlessly clean, and though the walls were thin, the guests were respectful of one another; it was quiet. The hotel is located about 1.5 blocks from the Esquirol metro station, 2 blocks from the St. Etienne Cathedral—it’s a beautiful area, central enough—only about 7 minutes by metro to the main train station. It’s also reasonably priced, very good value.

Everything was good.

Staff was attentive, kind and very helpful. Truly wonderful staff. I cannot state enough, how exceptional your front desk attendant was. Great location, great staff, wish we were there another night.

Listing options for parking would be extremely helpful. Coming from the US, it's hard to understand how difficult it can be to find parking. We had to call to ask after frantically driving around Toulouse after being unable to locate the Carme carpark. Listing les carmes on the listing would have helped us tremendously. We also did not realize the doors were deadbolt locking using the key. We thought they might have locked whenever the door closed, and then went out for dinner, it was OK though.

The staff were excellent - knowledgeable, communicative, helpful and professional. Anastasiia made check in a breeze and Pierre was another gem. The pre-arrival transport and location info was very useful. The location was really great - right in the heart of the old part of the city with shops, cafes restaurants and sightseeing in a few minutes walk. It felt secure and accessible. We actually liked the building layout with its balconies and open aspect to the rear. The room itself was no frills but perfectly adequate. Wifi and aircon were both good. It was good value for money.

There are a lot of stairs to the third floor. We were aware of this in advance and packed minimally - good decision! People with mobility/health issues need to note this, especially with cumbersome or heavy luggage! The breakfast, whilst adequate lacked a special something and the products offered were very run of the mill, but fine. Some really great bread would have made all the difference, for example.

A good location, nice design, friendly welcome, very comfortable bed, city center. To the capitol around 5 minutes walk. Good restaurant in the first floor. The yard is closed to strangers.

It was quite cold in the room. No lift only stairs so if you have a heavy luggage it would be difficult to bring it upstairs. There was some smell from the restaurant that is located downstairs. But all these points are not so much disturbing.

The 2 rooms we stayed in matched exactly to the descriptions advertised and both were very clean and comfortable. Our request that our rooms be close together was facilitated also. The (same) receptionist we met upon both arriving and leaving was extremely pleasant and helpful. We didn't avail of housekeeping services due to our short 2-night stay but everything we needed was stocked well in our rooms. We also didn't avail of breakfast so can't comment about that aspect.

The ensuite didn't have an active extractor fan (albeit there was a physical extractor) that may be important given that there is no window in the ensuite. The shower was at a higher lever from the ensuite floor so you had to be quite careful stepping in and out etc, and as a result the shower head in its highest position reached shoulder high at best (but could be adjusted of course). Same with the toilet, it was on a raised narrow step so care needed.

The hotel, as well as the staff was exceptionally sweet. The small room had everything I needed and was very clean and cosy. The hotel is located in a very central area where most of the places I wanted to see were reachable by walking. The staff was very friendly and helped me with a number of things. All the places I went to they recommended to me led to a wonderful experience. When in Toulouse, I will for sure come back to this place.

Carpet in the hallway upstairs, but that's just my taste.

Excellent location and very welcoming

The shower room needs changing, in my opinion. It's quite dangerous for an elderly person. The shower and toilets are on a different level than the rest of the room with no space to stand when we have finished to shower. It's difficult to explain but should be at the same level with the shower floor, so probably raising the rest of the room would be better and safer. I would have liked a coffee machine in my room.

Great location with a large room. The street is quiet despite the roadworks outside. The hotel has a disclaimer about water pressure issues because of this work but I had no problems. Lots of space in the room. The hotel is located a street off the Carmes district so it's super close to great pubs and restaurants. Easy to get to with luggage since the metro line a street away.

No elevator. The shower is quite small. The room was right next to the breakfast area so it was very noisy in the morning (the main walkway door slams loudly. It could do with a soft closure mechanism). The room I was in had windows which opened right onto a balcony where people ate breakfast in the morning so opening them wasn't a possibility. Literally, a patron could have jumped over the window wall and into the room. Not the biggest problem since there is air conditioning but still odd. Could do with a tea/coffee area especially since the size of the room could accommodate it.

Centrally based in Toulouse. Close to all the shops and to many restaurants. The rooms were clean and very cool. The hotel was quiet and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. Breakfasts were simple and very tasty. Would recommend.

The climb to the top of the hotels to our bedroom!!! This was only a minor hiccup and certainly did not spoil our stay.

Location is superb. It's easy to get to the hotel by car or by using public tranportation. It's easy to move around round the city of Toulouse from hotel on foot. The staff is very friendly and attentative. Our room was small but comfortable and clean. The hotel overall very quiet and peaceful although very close to shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely surroundings.
