The highlight was our private terrace with fabulous views over the harbour (there were also lovely communal areas to relax in). We loved the historic building and location in the centre of the old town. Vasilis and his team were friendly and welcoming, and the hospitality was excellent. Rooms and communal areas were cleaned daily. Breakfast was delicious and there was lots of choice, including juice squeezed freshly as you arrived. We would return without hesitation.

No air con. We loved the atmosphere of being right on the harbour but light sleepers may find the front facing rooms noisy.

Very nice hotel, in the middle of oldtown. The old house was renovated in a lovely way and with love for details. It offers a very nice roof-terrace overlooking the old Ventian Harbour – perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the sights of Chania. The room was spacious, bright and comfortable, with pretty furniture. We had a perfect sea-view with morning sun. The breakfast had everything we wanted, including freshly squeezed orange juice! The hotel is located very central, in the middle of the old town, close to restaurants, sights, etc. As with all the old-town-houses you can not drive there directlnby car, finding a parking spot close by at the public square can be a bit tricky, but it is possible (just takes a bit of time).

We thought that the restaurants (close by) would be quite loud in the evening, but in the end, it was ok for us and we slept well even though we heard the music and the mumbling of people in the background.

Great view over the old port and private balcony to enjoy sunrise and chill evenings. Vasilis was really nice and available. He helped us with our luggage, provided us with recommendations for the beach, and also he arranged an early breakfast for us when we had to leave for taking our flight back home. Very nice breakfast as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel is right in the old town city centre which means cars are not allowed inside. There is a public car park just at 4 minutes' walk from the hotel, but it can be busy, especially during evenings. There is no lift to get to the room on the second floor, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs, but vasilis was really kind and helped us. Mild noise from outside during the night as we were right in the city centre but absolutely manageable with windows closed and A/C on.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The location was perfect, close to all the main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Excellent location on the old town harbour. Small, friendly guest house with personal touch.

Due to the location on the old town harbour, the noise from the Amphora Taverna below was intrusive, particularly as late evening became early morning and the traditional Greek music replaced by boom boom modern music, until 4am!

I loved this hotel. My room was large and beautifully furnished, with a wonderful view overlooking the port. The hotel was close to everything. I really loved the decor, and the old world feel. The staff and owner were lovely, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was very nice. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe. I would recommend, and would stay here again when visiting Chania.

The location was perfect and so was the view of the old harbour and the sea. You can hear the sea from your bed or enjoy the beautiful view from your balcony. A very romantic stay. Perfect was walking around and seeing the beautiful old harbour. The staff and Vassilis were very hospitable and we felt taken care of. The room is somple and absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful details. I loved everything about this place

I loved every minute in Chania and every minute at Captain Vasilis. Can’t say enough how wonderful this property is! (didn’t want to leave/will be back💕) Personal, authentic, perfect! a lovely old Venetian home remodeled into a wee hotel. The host is a prince—always available and helpful. (He arranged a rental car for me… too easy! gave me the keys and off I went to fabulous/famous beaches) Breakfast is a treat…the balconies overlooking the harbor bay a delight (any time of night or day) the courtyard picture perfect! Love the Nespresso in my room and the comfy bathrobe. Captain Vasilis is easily my favorite stay in Greece.

Everything. The service was brilliant and Alexandra and Vassilis help was valuable. Breakfast great to have each morning too. Only a 2 minute walk to the Harbour, where there were many many Tavernas. The accomadation was an original building, with so much character.

Really enjoyed the hospitality of the host. The breakfast was very good and the different fruits/pastries each day were a nice touch. The view from the room was amazing.

The outside shutters to the room didn't work (one did the other was incapable of working). Also, to access the patio outside our window I had to climb over the windowsill which was less than ideal.
