This was probably the best Airbnb place we’ve ever had. Sit back because I have a lot to say to help you decide that this is the place for you! The apartment was just right, small, but roomy enough for all of our luggage, our purchases, our food, places to plug in our phones, and for the two of us to move around and do whatever we needed to do. Was clean, beautifully decorated, wonderful shower. Comfortable bed, with four pillows! How did she know that I am one of those who needs extra pillows?! It’s always a bummer when we show up at a place and there are only two pillows. Best location! Less than five minutes from where the Taxi dropped us off with our luggage, into the pedestrian only portion of the old city. Within a minute, I knew I had been in the most charming and enchanting city I’ve ever been to in the world. We walked everywhere, every day. The quiet pedestrian alleyway where the studio is, is a dead end. So the only people we saw while we sat outside, enjoying coffee and breakfast, were the two women who live in the apartment across the way, and people exploring only to find out that it’s a dead end and turn around! And Despoina! She’s positively lovely. We had informed her that our flight would be late at night and we’d be arriving to the apartment at midnight, and there she was, waiting, with a tray of fruit, salted peanuts in the shell, chocolates, cookies, and a little bottle of Raki, the Cretan alcoholic beverage. We saw her almost every day because she would come into her office, and she even had housekeeping services, which is unusual for places like this. One morning, my husband woke up with an ear infection, and although she was out doing errands, she answered my text within minutes, and lined up an appointment for us with her family’s ENT doctor. His office was within walking distance. One day when we saw her, I asked where the best baklava was, because I wanted to try it since I was in Greece!

Nothing! I’m short, and had a little difficulty reaching the dishes in the cupboard. So maybe a little stepstool might be helpful. Nothing big, there’s no point in that, and that might be a liability… But just something to help someone like me have a little lift.

This has been my home away from home as I spend my second visit here. It feels like I’m with family and I just love the staff. In fact I am here again because the lovely owner let me know of a course she knew I’d love on another part of the island. She has become a dear friend! 💕I think it is so special the care and kindness you receive here. They now have a lovely gallery there. Gorgeous photos! The rooms are always being upgraded. And there are always lovely treats on the table and in the refrigerator. It’s in a perfect location and I don’t think I could ever stay anywhere else. I felt right at home and will visit again I’m sure.

The room was cleaned every day. the host left us snacks and raki which was perfect after our long travel morning.

it would've been helpful if they had umbrellas we could borrow since it seems like a lot of people who are visiting would want one for the beach but you have to buy them at shops which cost 17 euro or more and i assume most of those umbrellas get thrown away at the end of a trip which is so wasteful. That's not the location's fault but it's something that maybe they can add on in the future to help stop waste.

A charming apartment in a terrific location with a host, Despina, who is incredibly friendly, responsive and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the balcony was delightfully draped in bougainvillea vines. There was consistent free parking available in a nearby lot, which was great because the closest lot was generally full.

My only problem with the apartment was the shower. The bathroom is compact which was fine. The shower,however, was quite small and the curtain would billow inwards while showering.

The location of the studios is perfect, hidden in the streets of the old town, so it's quiet, but very close to the busy area with restaurants and shops. We had a really lovely stay at Iason Studios, the place was really clean, comfy and well equipped. We also loved the beautiful balcony full of flowers, a very good place to start and end your day by sitting and relaxing there. We want to thank the staff and Despina for being a very lovely host and helping us with everything we needed. She helped us book a boat trip to Balos, which was very nice of her. I highly recommend this place!

Our host communicated with us by what's app to ensure she was there when we arrived out of hours .She helped us with booking excursions and a taxi as well as helping with a hire car and suggested things to do . The apartment was perfectly located and had air con as well as a large fan . There was a daily room service with fresh towels , a fridge , plus a fully functioning kitchenette.

nothing at all .it was quiet clean and well located.Pethaps in high season it may be a little less quiet as Tavernas are about 100m away

Despoina is a really nice, kind and helpful host! She’s recommended us a few tavernas and restaurants and they all were great! At the apartment you have everything you need to – cooker, fridge, toaster, coffee machine, air condition and balcony surronded by beautiful flowers. Also a localization is excellent – near to old harbour, old city and the beaches with sand (from one to twenty minutes you find everything I said before). It was a pleasure to stay at Iason Studios.

The welcome and efforts from Despina and her team was exceptional. We felt like family ❤️. The location was excellent, so close to restaurants and shops and bars, it was perfect. Despina was so helpful with tours, advice, little extras and a big hug at the end. This was our first visit to Chania, we had a wonderful time and we will certainly be back!

Situated in a quiet, picturesque side-street but with all the benefits of being in the old town, with its historical charm and easy access to shops, restaurants and transport. Our landlady was brilliant, always responding fast to any requests we had and giving us excellent tips. We wanted for nothing and had a superb holiday.

Our entire experience was made brighter by Despina's hospitality and graciousness throughout our stay. Most appreciated was that she helped us arrange a taxi for when we arrived at 9 pm, which felt late for us arriving in a city and country we have never been before. Our flight was an hour late, but still there was someone there to pick us up and take us to the accommodations. As a couple who are slow traveling for 5 months, we do not eat out every meal and love having accommodations with a kitchen. Though, in Chania, the restaurants and food are wonderful. Our accomodations had a lovely deck, comfortable large bed, a living room and a kitchen to put together a few meals. The location was perfect for exploring the old town minutes away though it is located in a quiet, lovely area.
