We were extremely happy with the El Greco. The room was modern, clean and had a wonderful bathroom. The mattress was comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was quite varied but needed more fresh fruit. The roof top bar had a spectacular view and the location was perfect. The hotel was in a lovely street that is in the old town but still far enough away from the crowds. There are many bars and restaurants close by and it’s also very close to the waterfront. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A bonus is having a lift in an old town building.

The room we had was a double and there was limited storage space for belongings and around the bed. I know that not all rooms are like this. A small ramp at the entrance would be helpful for suitcases. Parking could be an issue for some.

I had a fantastic stay at El Greco Hotel! The hotel was spotless, the staff incredibly friendly, and the location simply unbeatable—right in the heart of the most charming city. I especially loved enjoying breakfast outside each morning, such a relaxing start to the day. The room we were given was absolutely lovely and made both my birthday and babymoon feel even more special. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, warmth, and the perfect setting.

The location is spot on, right in the center of the old town, yet it's a quiet and friendly street. The staff was nice and the breakfast was also good. The hotel is modern and clean.

Soundproofing in the room was poor. There's a rooftop bar that comes with a lot of noise, so we could hear people talking and partying until 2am one day (we stayed on the 3rd floor, directly below the rooftop). Especially when they came down the staircase, even though our room was the farthest from it. The AC was also surprisingly loud.

Brand new with excellent material and decorations. Very comfortable beds and super clean bathroom. Prime location right behind the old fortification and waking distance to all major attractions and restaurants/bars in the old harbor.

Being in the old city space is limited and the quadruple rooms were very tight for a group of four adults (not a family). The breakfast could be also improved both in quality of products (in Crete it's expected that good hotels offer a variety of homemade goods, such as marmalades and cakes) and quantity (things were constantly running out). For the cost of the hotel, the breakfast should have definitely been better.

My room was a the back of the hotel nice and quiet the windows opened onto the old and ancient walls of Chania! Great view of the city wall from my balcony I can almost feel I could touch it! Oh I can I wasn’t expecting that ( see Photo) The receptionist Eirini was particularly friendly, helpful and full of local information Breakfast was lovely and set me up for the day!.

The bathroom was a little tight to get in the shower but modern with plenty of hot water

Amazing location and a really nice breakfast. I will for sure pick up the dear memory from the breakfast scenary; not just what we actually ate but the view, the atmosphere, everything! during the dark Swedish winter to help me through the day. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The quadruple room is not really suitable for 4 people (we travelled two adults and two teenagers) with the extra bed pulled out the hallway gets very narrow and with the sharp edges it was not smooth to enter and leave the room. At a beautiful hotel like this, I would have also expected more thoughts on sustainability and would have appreciated less one-time toileteries, glasses instead of paper cups etc but overall we really enjoyed our stay at El Greco.

We spent two nights and absolutely loved it! We had a 'Double room-interior' and it was enough for us. The bed and pillows are really comfortable and we were impressed by the amount of amenities they leave you in the bathroom. Breakfast is delicious with a lot of options. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre surrounded by a lot of restaurants and shops. Parking might be a bit of a challenge, however we were very lucky and found immediately in Talos square both days (3 minute walk to the hotel). I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

The only negative for us is that you can hear everything that's going on outside of your room. Walls are too thin and as soon as someone leaves their room/walks past your room you hear everything. Not very good for light sleepers.

It was such a pleasant surprise how beautifully designed this hotel is, very friendly, extremely clean and very welcoming. This place made our stay so magical. The location is amazing and right next to it you will find the best restaurant in Crete Kalderimi, seriously best food, and this all sits in a little charming street just a few meters away from the beach and the old port of Chania. One thing to do add, super surprised that this hotel is a two star hotel, I have been in quite a few 5 stars and this place certainly delivers very comfortable service.

The only thing to b careful about is that u have to carry ur luggage to the hotel for like a 50meters upward.. but that’s the case in majority of hotels in Greece

Everything about El Greco is simply wonderful. Location, accommodation, breakfast, facilities and staff. El Greco was also so accommodating when we missed our ferry to Santorini that they happily extended our stay for a few more nights taking extra care of us for the additional days. It is located at the heart of Old Town in Chania, a 2min walk from the parking lot / taxi meeting point, 20min from the city's central bus station, 10min walk from the shopping center and just a 10min walk from Nea Chora Beach (the best part). Next door is an incredibly good restaurant called Kalderimi which is a must-try when in Chania too! Thanks to El Greco for making our stay so wonderfully memorable!

I highly recommend this hotel. We had a great stay there with my husband, and the staff was very polite with us. The hotel was super clean and the breakfast was delicious. We met also the owner of the hotel who was so kind and polite with us.

None
