I loved pretty much everything about this accommodation! The location was great, 2 mins walk from multiple bus routes (we bought a LEAP visitors card at the airport and hopped on and off buses all weekend). The campus was absolutely beautiful. Such a peaceful setting and I loved all the green space. The room was basic, but absolutely met our needs. We had breakfast included and I didn't really expect much, but it was great! Cooked breakfast, cereal with various types of milk, a selection of bread, rolls and pastries, yoghurt and fruit was available each day. The coffee was lovely and the fruit juice cartons the perfect portion size. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, so sat outside every day for breakfast in a lovely little garden area outside the main breakfast room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I loved this place!

My only negative was the lack of air-conditioning, although I guess it isn't needed most of the time. This is a very small gripe, as it didn't affect our stay, it would just have been a bonus.

The Campus of DCU is utterly beautiful. Located just outside Dublin city center, you will find this accommodation in a quiet area not too far from the airport. The journey there takes 10 minutes from the airport by taxi and costs around €18-26. The journey to the city center takes about 10 minutes by bus (€2) or cab (€25-30), depending on traffic. Stores and restaurants are just a 10-minute walk away. The dormitories at Purcell House are simple, but offer everything you need, including a historic ambience. Breakfast is included and offers pastries such as croissants, muesli, fruit, bread with jam and, of course, English breakfast. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The value for money is unbeatable... at a time when the Gallagher brothers and Robbie are making it hard to find accommodation at all.

Choosing to spend the night here is not just choosing an accomodation, but signing up for an experience in itself. The room is situated on a picturesque historic university campus, which sets you up for a unique experience. On top of that there's friendly staff and an uncomplicated check-in. Sure, the room might not be the most luxurious of all the places that I've stayed in, but it's clean and cozy and situated in a nice area, albeit not too central, suitable for a short trip. All this at a fair price for Dublin. The atmosphere however is unbeatable - I would definitely be back just for that.

Security guard was aggressive and very confrontational. Seemed to take great pleasure in warning me about my parking the next morning. I was driving a bus and I was informed by reception the night before that it would be OK to park in the area I did because of the size I took up 2 parking bays. Totally different story when security confronted me the next morning. He directed me the next morning to another area which was reserved for faculty staff and students. No private parking at all in that area. I travel for a large travel company and I stay all over the country and I've never been confronted in such a way by any security staff. It wasn't his job he should have left that to the clamping company. Make it plain and clear your policy on parking and the designated area.

Beautiful historical building. Peaceful green grounds with tables&benches. Relaxing. Clean room, linen/towels fresh, comfy bed, kettle (tea/coffee) in the room. Little window was old style Infrustructure: Supermarkets, bus stop for city center or airport right behind the corner (max 3-5min walk). City center about 10min away by bus, by walk 30min. I loved walking there to see local life.

1.Breakfast was quite dissapointing! Starts late. Very limited, especially for healthy options and not tasty (except for croissants&scones). Surprisingly even eggs were tasteless. would consider to change caterer. 2.Some corridors had that old building heavy smell. Room itself was clean, but not very well maintained in terms of cracks on the walls, paint... But could be part of the charm for some:) 3. Direction wasnt clear. Took me 3 failed attempts before i could find campus All Hallows. Near by Uni campus staff knows surprisingly little about hotel. An Actual sign near Cat&Cage pointing inwards that little street wld save me lots of time.

The staff and management was suburb, the two Owen’s that met us when we first checked in were wonderful young men and very polite and helpful, Nacho and the other young lady he worked with were great as well. The only reason I answered no to bonus question 1 is we felt we got more than we bargained for, great deal for a beautiful building and the breakfast was delicious everyday. Kitchen and service staff also very kind and welcoming. My wife and I both agreed we would love to visit in the near future.

Beds were a tad uncomfortable, doors sometimes slammed uncontrollably loud and the initial armpit smell of the rooms themselves were the only nitpick complaints we had, all which I feel could be easy fixes. The amount of likes we had far out number the dislikes.

We arrived by car and chose the place as it was easily accessible with parking right outside and close to the city. Close to bus stop with frequent departures straight to the city center. When we booked, only a small double room was available but it was fine for two people. Breakfast was ok. Got food vouchers for a food pickup that was given by the staff. Lots of places to eat inside and some outside in the garden. Very quiet and nice place. Great place for a walk or jog through nice residential areas. Great buildings and fun with a slightly different accommodation than a hotel. Both grocery stores and restaurants are nearby.

The room is quite cozy and clean. It's a bit tight, but that wasn't a big problem. The bed is very soft, as are the pillows. The breakfast is very comprehensive, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They let me leave my luggage before check-in and after check-out. I really appreciated that. The campus is a very beautiful place, with a lovely garden in front of the rooms; I found it very relaxing during my stay. I really recommend this place

Although it is a bit far from the center of the city, it is well conected by the local transportation, and it is a nice, secluded, peaceful area with a lovely park and a church. Staff is nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nice and if I visit Dublin again I could surely come back here

The campus has a really lovely territory and park. There are two bus stops just 4 min walk from the campus. Besides, there are real bar/pub selections in the neighborhood. The room was big enough for two - bed, table and closet. Everything for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The only thing to know before coming is to buy a European adapter for sockets 😅 There are none in the rooms. Also, there are no USB chargers, so bear that in mind when coming. And there is no hair dryer (you can probably ask for one at the reception, but I didn't do that). Breakfast was good! They don't have that many options for every day, but it was tasty. You can choose between eggs, porridge, bacon, sausages, white pudding, hash browns, and some additions. They have very good pastries, especially the croissants! The staff is always friendly, chatty, and welcoming!
