From the moment we stepped into the house, it felt like we're visiting a friend. We received a very warm welcome by the owner, Jack. Not only was the whole check-in process smooth, but he also gave us a detailed tour of his beautifully decorated house. It was a nice surprise to find out that a complimentary breakfast (including pastries, toast bread, Irish butter, jam and orange juice) would be available each morning, while not being conditioned by a strict timing. Coffee was also available and it was delicious. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and we managed to get some good rest after a tiring day of visiting from morning till late in the evening. It was a pleasure to stay at Avoca House! Can't recommend it enough!

A beautifully decorated and well-maintained stately home on a quiet street corner with easy access to the bus and a short walk to Glasnevin Cemetery and the Botanic Garden. Jack and his lovely wife go above and beyond to create a wonderful stay and constantly think about ways to improve the guest experience under Teddy’s adoring watch. Hospitality is in Jack’s blood! If you appreciate specialty coffee, silver serving dishes, daily room service and ironed sheets, this is your place. The attic room was perfect for a single petite traveler. Other rooms seemed spacious and well lit. Highly recommend and excited to return.
Everything was great!

Amazing Jack host most welcoming and attentive. Lovely safe Dublin residential community and best suited to car access as one hour walking to Dublin proper. Beautiful zen deck with umbrella for enjoyment is a bonus. Continental self service breakfast choices, especially high grade organic coffee and expresso machine best B and B choices and best dining room in 🇮🇪
Room very small and very hot...no ventilation but expect all other rooms would be better for certain. Advice would be to avoid small loft bedroom with skylight on upper floor and book for one night maximum in this room.

The Avoca House is in a great neighborhood with easy access to public transportation, and walkable to downtown attractions if you are used to walking a couple of miles. The room that we stayed was clean, stylishly decorated with thoughtful amenities. Because it was located in a residential neighborhood it was quiet at night and easy for guests to relax after a day of exploring. Jack the host is very friendly, and truly makes you feel welcome. I have a food allergy and he went out of his way to make sure that I had something safe to eat at breakfast, and a snack as well!
Honestly there was nothing that I did not like about this property.

This charming B&B was the perfect retreat. The furnishings were tasteful and cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home. Jack, the owner, was incredibly attentive, helpful and understanding. Mornings started with a delightful continental breakfast, which we enjoyed in the dining room with other travellers. There is also a lovely outdoor space - which is a true highlight of the property. It’s ideally located just outside the city, so you’re close enough to go and explore as you wish, without being caught in the hustle and bustle. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very quiet. The bathrooms are small but perfectly functional and modern. Jack has thought of everything - with tea and coffee cups in your room, chargers, the wifi code clearly displayed, etc etc. A peaceful, comfortable stay that I’d happily return to!

Many thanks to the owner of the premises, his entire family and the service staff for our excellent vacation!!! Everything is incredibly clean and cozy! The room was warm and we found everything we needed. The location is very convenient: 5-10 minutes to any bus stop - both to the center and to the airport. The highlight of this premises is probably its owner: this person sincerely tries to create maximum comfort for you!!! A wonderful country with its wonderful people!!! P.S. It's really cool that there is a booklet in the room where you can choose an entertainment in Dublin and pay for it: that's how we visited the Guinness Beer Museum! We also recommend it!

We liked everything. Our host Jack was very welcoming, helpful and interesting to speak with. Our bedroom was luxurious, very clean, the bed was very big and super comfortable, with two types of pilows. We apreciated cups and kettle in our room and also the charger for smartphones. In the room is everything you need - small and bigger towel, hairdryer, shapoo and soap. The breakfast was perfect, three types of cofee, orange juice, croissants, ham, cheese, butter, granola etc. As a guest you can also sit in the very cosy living room or terrace/garden. In the corridor was little basin with drinking water from mountains. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Jack, our host was etremely professional in running us through the workings of the B & B with regards to breakfast, nearby pubs for evening meals, transport connections to the Dublin central etc etc and we enjoyed chatting to other guests in extremely comfortable surrounds however, more importantly, he was incredibly helpful in sorting out a car rental problem that we encountered when arriving in Dublin from Croatia. He went into overdrive in sourcing alternative company(s) for us to then investigate an apprpropriate deal and I can't thank him enough for his input in regards to this matter. From a very average start at Dublin International airport re the car rental problem to a wonderful stay all came down to Jack's help and local knowledge.
Nothing as everything from being greeted at the door on arrival by Jack and Chilli, a miniature pomeraniun to departing 3 days later was absolutely top shelf.

Charming B&B outside Dublin City center. Self-serve breakfast was lovely. Good coffee, brown bread, egg cooker with cheeses and meats in the self-serve fridge. Lots of cereals and plenty of butter and jam for bread. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. Updated bathroom with shampoo and shower gel available. Great hair dryer. Jack was a warm and informative host with recommendations for traditional Irish music and food nearby. 20 minute walk into the city center was easy. This is a terrific option if you want to be in Dublin but away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The coffee machine was a bit difficult to figure out but the coffee was excellent in the end. Early accessibility was appreciated as we had to meet an early tour departure in the city centre. The dining room was beautiful although crowded.
The food offerings were very basic and the baked goods were not fresh. The dining room was small and different to seat more than just a few although three were chairs around the large table for 6. Perhaps a smaller table for 4 would be better.
