Great hotel, friendly staff, very clean, very comfortable family rooms, cozy lobby, very close to the airport ( 10 mins with no traffic). Lidl is next door, which is very convenient.

Although it is very close to the airport, it is about 45-50 mins walk to the centre, which is doable but the areas you need to go through are not very nice. It spoilt our overall impression of Dublin.

Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and kind and went above and beyond to help me with some logistical issues I had. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast and lunch were very friendly but more importantly efficient. The food was very good.

The staff in the restaurant in the evening were woeful, the first time I ate there I waited 50 minutes for my meal then 40 minutes for the bill. The second night I had to get up from the table and find a staff member to take our order, then yet again I gave up waiting to pay the bill as I simply could not get any attention from the staff. As a single mother travelling with my child I felt extremely overlooked in favour of larger groups at other tables

Hotel was clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant downstairs which was reasonably priced and delicious. The main reason I will use this hotel again - we stayed one night due to having an early flight the next morning. We left the hotel in the middle of the night and when I reached my destination I received a phone call from the hotel to say we had left a couple of items behind including a small purse with a substantial amount of money and bank cards. They said they would hold it until we got back from our holiday. The very honest housekeeper handed it in after finding it whilst cleaning our room. Thank you Skylon staff!

Located for the airport traveller as well as for popping out to eat in one of the many restaurants bars and cafes nearby. A simple bus ride from and back to the airport! (remember to have cash ready if you are a one off bus user - 2 euro 50 cents at time of writing) Lovely comfortable bedrooms. Breakfast is buffet style in the bar area and meets all the expectations of an Irish breakfast. We booked the amazing SHOUK restaurant which is a ten minute walk to the Drumcondra railway station. Out of this world food and quirky restaurant. A must if staying at the Skylon but plenty of other options including the hotels bar food/restaurant which was busy! Bus stops 1 minute away! No 16 or 41 for the airport and come every 10 mins or so.

The room was clean, spacious and quiet!. The access was good. The sheets and room were crispa nd changed fequently. Breakfast was more than enough with good service and freash food. The bar was well stocked and served excellent Guiness!

The only thing that let me down was the parking arrangements. If you were lucky you had a space but if unlucky you were told to park a block away and pay at the meters by a grumpy doorman!! This happened once even after I explained about a disability. However at the time the hotel was fully booked with graduation parties and didn' happen the last time before when I stayed

Breakfast options were good Staff really pleasant and helpful. Always people on hand. Very cosy on entrance The rooms were a good size, and Great to have a bed that isn't two pushed together. Really hard to find a double bed / king bed that isn't two singles or doubles pushed together with a really nice bathroom and modern bathroom facilities

The wall paper was peeling away in the room and the kettle was scummy with limescale. I think we also should have been informed about the work that was taking place on Monday day around 10am, if the general check out is 12 noon. People may want to rest.

A Memorable Stay at the Brilliant Hotel I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Dublin Skylon Hotel during my visit to [insert location]. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for an exceptional experience. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the reception staff were not only welcoming but also accommodating. Despite arriving earlier than the usual check-in time, they graciously arranged for me to have access to my room, allowing me to settle in comfortably without any hassle. The attention to cleanliness throughout the hotel was remarkable. The housekeeping staff maintained impeccable standards, ensuring that every corner of my room was spotless. The spacious accommodations provided a welcoming retreat, complemented by a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The highlight for me was the invigorating shower – a perfect way to rejuvenate after a day of exploring the city. Each morning, I eagerly looked forward to the breakfast spread, and I was not disappointed. The selection was diverse and delicious, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. What truly stood out, however, was the warmth and friendliness of the staff who went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and cared for. The hotel's location couldn't have been more ideal. Situated just a 15-minute stroll from the city center and with a bus stop conveniently located opposite the hotel, getting around was effortless. Additionally, the availability of parking on-site provided added convenience for those traveling by car. In conclusion, my stay at the Brilliant Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the friendly reception staff to the immaculate accommodations and delectable breakfast offerings, every aspect exceeded my expectations. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience.

The hotel was very nice. Clean, quite and good food when we chose to eat there. Many pubs and other places to eat near by the hotel. Not far from the airport.

The hotel worked well for us as it was near my daughter's apartment. Will stay there again for sure. However, if I was just coming to visit Dublin not sure if I would pick this location. Its a bit of a long walk to the city center. But you can get there for about a $13 taxi ride.

The restaurant staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. They provide piping hot, delicious, and satisfying food. The dishes are not only well-cooked but also reasonably priced. Congratulations to the restaurant for providing excellent service and delightful meals!

The reception staff (manager) are elderly and seem unwilling to accommodate guests. Late checkouts were not allowed. They make new arrivals wait until exactly 3 pm to access their rooms, and checkout is strictly at 12 pm noon with no flexibility. We were forced to wait in the restaurant, which only opens at noon, before being able to access our room. The hotel tends to fill up in the evenings with lots of local large groups and tourist buses, making it crowded and chaotic.
