Staff were lovely, went above and beyond for our wee staycation. We had such a lovely stay! The staff truly went above and beyond to make our little staycation special. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well looked after. The lady at reception was so welcoming—she not only talked me through the concierge service (which was new to us) but also surprised us by delivering a wee gift to our room for my daughter, which was such a thoughtful touch. It was my daughter’s birthday, and almost every staff member noticed her badge and made the effort to wish her a happy birthday…even the lovely cleaning staff, which really made her day! There were so many small, thoughtful gestures that we didn’t expect, but they made a big difference. The whole team, from front desk to housekeeping, was genuinely kind and attentive.

The loading zone for parking was often full, but a quick drive around the block and usually it had cleared in the 2-3min drive.

We had a great night away! The staff were friendly. When we got to our room, there was an edible surprise and a lovely card congratulating us on our anniversary. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us smile. The room was cozy. The bed was very comfy, and the sheets felt amazing. The robes and slippers were a nice bonus. The location couldn't be better, right in the middle of the CBD with tons of places to eat, shop, and explore all within walking distance. The hotel itself felt fancy. Everything was spotless, and we loved having access to the gym and sauna. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend staying here!

The only downside was being woken up by people yelling and arguing nearby. It was a bit disruptive, but being in the middle of the city, that kind of noise is somewhat expected.

Firstly, there was no light in our tea and coffee making station. There was no technician to fix it. We are elderly and found there was not enough light to read any instructions to operate the Nespresso machine in such a tight space. Secondly the lift situation is a concern. Is there not a separate lift for maintenance staff? After waiting for 25min for a lift(we were on level 7 )in the morning, we decided to take the stairs. My husband slipped and we had to ask for a wheel chair as he could not walk. It made our morning difficult coupled with the anxiety of impending surgery.He is not able to stand outside the lift for long periods, he is in mid 80”s.He was scheduled for surgery at 12, the reason why we stayed the night in the City. We went to the new Court theatre the night before, which was wonderful, your hotel chosen because of the close proximity to this venue so we could walk.

sorry, got these two questions muddled up. I think you have done a wonderful thoughtful presentation with the Hotel. The staff were just marvelous. We liked the little rest area and bar next to reception. We had a very successful storing of our SUV vehicle on site. Prompt and efficient delivery in the morning. The bed was very comfortable, exceptionally clean ,the single bedside table and light was wonderful as I like to read before going to sleep and my husband does not. I liked the toweling robe and slippers. When we rang reception, the staff always answered the phone and attended us politely.

Hotel is in an excellent spot close to cathedral square, isaac theatre royal, New Court Theatre and new regent street. Good standard of accommodation. Staff friendly and welcoming

Room we were allocated was smaller and more basic than the image used on the website to illustrate the room. It was fine but not as luxurious as image lead us to anticipate. We used their parking option and when we got car back automatic wing mirrors didn’t work initially. Not sure what happened - ? Someone had pushed them closed rather than allowing automatic lock to do so.

It is a great central location for exploring the heat of Christchurch and restaurants and cafes are walking distance along with markets and shopping opportunities. the Reception staff were all very friendly and welcoming and also very accommodating.

The hotel is well maintained and has all the facilities and amenities you would expect from a 5 star property. We are Scottish and really appreciated the attention to detail in the room, it made us feel at home. The staff were very helpful regarding parking, where to eat and even arranged with a local bar to have our favorite sporting event on the TV's

The hotel is a combination 2 buildings and the floors do not align. Our room was in the rear building and after exiting the lift we had to go up a stair case with 14 steps, not easy with suitcases.

The location was excellent as I was at a conference at Te Pae. It was also very close to places to eat. My room was upgraded to a King Bed room and it was on a corner with two windows - with fabulous views (I kept taking pictures and sending them to my family). The room was spacious and light, really comfortable, immaculate and spotless, with everything I needed including a dressing gown and Nespresso coffee machine and fridge. The shower was great and good to have a bath if I had wanted one. The staff were really friendly - everyone I came across smiled and said hello. Check in/out was super easy. I just loved staying here. It was perfect!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Fable Christchurch, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Location: Situated in the central business district, Fable Christchurch is perfectly positioned for exploring the city. It's within walking distance of key attractions like the Christchurch Cathedral, Botanic Gardens, and a variety of shops and restaurants. Stylish Decor: The hotel’s interior is beautifully designed, blending contemporary elegance with a nod to its historic roots. The attention to detail in the decor, from the lobby to the rooms, adds a touch of sophistication. Comfortable Rooms: The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The beds, in particular, are heavenly, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I also appreciated the luxurious toiletries and the quality of the in-room amenities. Exceptional Service: The staff at Fable Christchurch went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. They were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with any requests or provide local recommendations.

Parking: While the hotel does offer valet parking, it can be a bit pricey, and there are limited on-site spaces. However, there are nearby parking options if you’re looking for something more budget-friendly. Limited Views: Depending on the room, the views may be somewhat limited, particularly on lower floors. However, the central location more than makes up for this.

The location to the Chch Town Hall, Court Theatre, Library, The Piano Concert Chamber, Art Gallery and restaurants is brilliant. Staff & rooms were fantastic. Bathroom and immenities top notch.

We won't stay again because of the fragrance/ cleaning product used in the foyer and room was dreadul, invasive and allergy inducing. I would recommend anyone who is asthmatic or sensitive to fragrance to look elsewhere. I really hope that this message will help to improve things as its a FANTASTIC place.

The Fable is ideally located only a short walk from Cathedral Square and a busy shopping and eating precinct. It is right near a stop for the tourist tram so easy access to other sites around the city. The room was clean and comfortable but a bit cool for me as the temperature is controlled centrally. Once we worked this out and spoke to the reception staff they adjusted our room temperature and it was fine.

Only downside was not being able to adjust the room temperature from our room.
